PROLOGUE

The war began by surprise and no one is prepared for it. It takes a lot of lives, everyone is afraid that maybe they're the next one to be buried. A worried Itzel is currently listening carefully on the radio, hoping that she could hear something good about the current situation concerning her Pack Village. Everyone in the tent is very worried about their loved ones' safety. Including Nevaeh that was very unhappy eating her meal, canned green peas. They have no other choice anyway, they are in the middle of a war.
" Evita " a panting Araceli entered the tent. " She's taking a nap, "Says Itzel who now messing up the radio's buttons. " There's someone who wishes her presence in the visitor's tent " Araceli raise a brow when her eyes caught Evita sleeping on her hammock. Hearing what Araceli said Evita suddenly opened her eyes and rose from a good nap.
" Who wants to see me, Araceli? " Evita asked while tying her long platinum white hair. " I'm sorry, I don't get the name. When they told me it's important I dashed into your tent to find you. " Evita nods while walking to the visitor's tent, curious who it might be. Evita starts to feel strange when she entered the room. There, three-person who is covered with a black hood is standing, waiting for Evita.
" Hello? I've heard that you want to see me? " Evita said to the three mysterious people. Turning their back to face the girls, the nervous Evita paused. She stares at them for a minute and looks away.
" I guess we don't have to tell you who we are Evita. " Araceli cower when a dark shadow from the woman in the middle begins to show its true form. It's like a legendary monster her mother used to tell her when she was a kid.
" Leave us alone! " Evita screamed and everything has begun to shake like there's an earthquake. Her eyes glow into deep purple ones, and the floor began to crack a little, spouting dark violet fires. A shock Araceli moved away from Evita. She senses danger coming from her friend, more dangerous compared to those three strangers. Realizing, Evita calmed herself before she can do any more damage. Everything fades away like ashes, the three women warned Evita and leave fading with a flare of dust surrounding them.
When they leave, Evita checks on Araceli if she is okay, Evita received a smile from Araceli letting her know that she's okay.
Araceli wants to ask Evita a few questions concerning everything she saw earlier. Is Evita really what she tells she is? What are that magic and stuff she saw? Is she hallucinating that's what she asked herself. Whatever the answer is she wants Evita to tell them everything when the right time comes.
Evita walks back to her tent, everyone looked at her when she comes in, waiting for a piece of news. Evita shakes her head and looks down not wanting to see her friends' hope crushed. They are expecting some letters or news from their packs. It's been 5 years since the war started they are 10 at that time, learning to be a pack doctor from an elder in Everest Pack known for their good medical skills. There Evita meets the selected young wolves to become future pack doctors on their pack. Araceli Stourton from Eastwood Pack, Itzel Linden from Crimsonwing Pack, and Nevaeh Roscoe from Nightfall Pack.
They didn't have a chance to go back To their homes when the war started, everyone is been hiding. The Everest Pack, Evita's pack, is the first one to be attacked. They are making sure that the Everest Pack couldn't help out during the war. They can't fight back in the attack since they're a pack of doctors. But everything changed Everest Pack learned to fight to survive during these past five years of bloodshed.
" Alpha, your brother is back! " Elen a pack member entered the tent happily. A smile was carved on their faces when they heard the good news. Every month Evita's brother went outside their hideout to seek some supplies or find some survivors. And now that he is back with his company, everyone in the pack is very happy.
" Where is he Elen? " Evita said while smiling widely. Her brother is gone for 3 months and she missed him so much. Ellen smiled back at her and gesture for Evita to follow her, and she did.
Elen leads Evita to where her brother is. When she saw her brother she runs and jumps on him. " Keanu! " she screamed his name and hug him tightly, she suddenly lets go when she heard someone make a low growl. " Who the fuck dared to growl at me? " she said while looking around. And she stopped on the girl, a survivor? She asked herself. " Sorry about that sister, this is-" Keanu begins to introduce the girl when Evita cuts him off. " Is she the one? " she grins making her brother blush. " I see, hi there I'm Evita his twin sister." Evita reached out her hand to shake with the shy girl that currently hiding on Keanu's back.
" Oh okay, " she gets back her hand and awkwardness filled the atmosphere. " You all must be tired, go on you can have a rest now. " She announced, everyone gives her a slight bow for respect and leave in front of her. And then she fell into deep thinking about what happened earlier. " Is there something bothering you sister?" She looks at Keanu who's standing in front of her. " They found me again. " She took a deep breath and smile at her worried brother.
" Then let's go, we have to get ready to leave." He said to her but she stopped him. " No Keanu, it's enough running for you. " She smiled on her brother and hug him again, but tighter than earlier. " Maybe it's time for you to run and protect Everest Pack Keanu, the pack originally belongs to you anyway. " Evita said to her brother and let go of the hug. " No you're wrong, the pack belongs to US, you hear me? US." He said swallowing his sobs. He knew that this day will come soon. He knew that they are different, they may be not related by blood but their heart tells them that they are siblings. This secret is hidden by their family to everyone.
