Rosalina shattered the Lumen stone that illuminated the room she was in. She then hid behind the door.
Her right hand is ready on the hilt of the sword. She heard the footsteps of two people approaching. It seemed that the two of them were quite surprised by the room that suddenly turned dark.
One of the two bandits slowly opened the door, making an echoing rickety sound.
He stepped in, followed by another bandit who had his spear ready.
Rosalina, who was now behind the door, watched the two men just pass in front of her. The woman grinned widely. Sweat trickled down in her forehead. Her eyes and hands were shaking. Rosalina still seemed to have doubts about taking out her sword.
But the opportunity will not come easily. She had to attack!
Clenches her teeth. With a quick draw, Rosalina slashed her sword at the bandit at the back.
Slash!
Rosalina slashed right at the bandit's stomach. With her Kendo skill, her slashing became stronger and faster, so the bandit's body was instantly cut off.
Blood spurted everywhere. The bandit in the front was taken aback, immediately turned around but instead found the tip of the sword pointed at his neck.
"Tsuki!"
Jleb!
Without being able to do anything, the tip of the sword stabbed and pierced the neck of the bandit. Allowing the bandit to see the woman who attacked him. He can't speak, his voice is stuck in his throat, the bandit just can feel his life rapidly fading away.
When life had disappeared from the eyes of the bandit in front of her. Rosalina drew her sword, saw the bandit's body fall and wet the floor with blood pouring from the neck.
Rosalina took out a cloth from her trouser pocket, wiping the blood that stained her sword.
Rosalina's hands were shaking. Her face also seemed to turn pale. She swallowed her saliva many times, while looking at the reflection of her face on the surface of the sword.
Sweat was still pouring down and soaking her shirt.
[This is your first time?]
Rosalina glanced at the message Theo had sent. She couldn't help but smile wryly before finally nodding.
Yeah, this is Rosalina's first time killing a human. She thought that this experience would be no different than killing a goblin. But... seeing life disappear from the bandit's eyes earlier... Honestly, it kind of bothered her.
[Why don't you use a stun gun?]
"I-if we let them go… after we leave, they might just do this villainy act again?"
[You could just report it to the guild?]
"They'll run away first. Better finish it off right now."
[...Up to you. However, you must strengthen yourself. Because this is just the beginning.]
Rosalina nodded in agreement. This is just the beginning. She knew that on this journey, she would encounter all kinds of people. From the kindest to the worst.
Taking human life will become an inevitable habit. Rosalina knew and had to be prepared for it.
She put the sword in its scabbard, then took a deep breath. She glanced at the message sent by Theo. Learned that the two bandits who were supposed to be upstairs, in Cray's room, were now starting to move down.
Rosalina immediately rushed to the side of the stairs. She slashed at the Lumen stones that illuminated the room as she passed, then crouched down to hide beside the stairs.
When the two bandits arrived at the top of the stairs, both of them were instantly stunned by the darkness downstairs.
One of the bandits shouted for his friend who was supposed to be on guard. However he received no reply. Instead, the bandit in the basement who answered, and started to walk up.
The stairs to the basement are right next to the stairs to the top. So Rosalina could see clearly when the bandit's head suddenly appeared in front of her. Without hesitation she stabbed her sword into the bandit's neck. Kill him instantly.
Hearing a slight noise below made the two bandits upstairs suspicious. The two of them looked at each other, then pulled out their respective swords.
They descended the stairs slowly, glancing around for any possible enemy. One of them was still shouting his friend's name.
"Hey, where are they?" Asked one bandit who was at the front in a low tone. But strangely he didn't hear an answer from behind.
Curious, he glanced to the back, and there he saw a woman who had just beheaded his friend.
"Shi-!"
Jleb!
Not even a word came out of his mouth. The tip of the intruder's sword had penetrated the glabella. Instantly take the life of the bandit.
"Sigh… he almost screamed."
Rosalina mumbled then glanced at Theo's message that had just appeared.
[Behind!]
"!!"
Swooosh!
Rosalina immediately jumped down, lucky to dodge a halberd attack that was aimed at her head.
The woman rolled on the floor and looked up the stairs. There stood a man with a large stature. Long wavy hair, thick eyebrows and a scar across his face.
Without even needing to be told by Theo, from the air that the man gave off, Rosalina immediately knew that it was Cray. The leader of the bandits in this place.
The man stared intently at the two corpses of his subordinates lying on the stairs. Then squinted to where Rosalina was.
"What's this? I thought there would be a lot of adventurers or soldiers, but... a little girl? How stupid my mens, they can't even handle a tiny girl like you? Tsk, tsk!"
Cray grumbled as he stepped down. He kicked the corpses of his men who were blocking the way. There was a killing intent in his eyes.
Rosalina swallowed her saliva. Sweat pouring out of the pores. Right now she knew that her enemy was of a different class from the other bandits.
Rosalina readied her sword, then saw Cray jump at her while swinging the halberd. Rosalina quickly swung her sword, tried to block the attack.
But...
Tang!
Cray's strength was far different. Rosalina, who had tried to parry, ended up flying and crashing into the wall.
Brack!
"Gah!"
"Ha ha ha! Why little girl?!"
Cray swung his weapon again. But this time the weapon glowed. Rosalina instantly realized how dangerous the attack was. She dodged and was blown away after receiving the shockwave from the bandit's attack.
'Mana attack?!'
Rosalina didn't expect her enemy to be able to do physical attacks covered in mana. Something that is usually only seen from high rank adventurers or knights.
Dust is scattered. Rosalina immediately jumped away. She glanced at where she stood before. The wall and part of the side of the building were completely destroyed by the attack.
[Whoa, your body will be gone if you get hit earlier. What the hell is that? Can't you do it?]
"Shut up! Your message window is blocking my eyes! You think I have time to read in this state?!"
Rosalina was so annoyed by the message that suddenly appeared in front of her face. She was desperately defending her life, and Theo was bothering her instead.
When the message window disappeared, Rosalina realized that the shining halberd was already in front of her. She couldn't dodge, so with all her might she tried to block it with the sword.
DANG!
"Urghhhh!"
Rosalina felt like her body had just been pushed down by a hundred kilos of weight. Her bones were screaming and cracking.
"Goddamn it!"
BAM!
Rosalina was knocked back. She hit the wall and was thrown out of the house. Alerting the bandits who are looking for her inside the forest around their base.
"Hahaha, quite a little girl! Still able to live after taking my attacks head-on."
"Cough! Cough!"
Rosalina coughed up blood. She looked at the sword in her hand. The sword has now broken.
"Shit, this sword has been with me since the beginning, and you just destroyed it."
"Huh? That cheap sword? Gyahahaha! Who are you, how dare you come in here? Are you from the guild? Or from the government?"
Rosalina threw her shattered sword. Then gripped the hilt of the shotgun on her back.
"Me? Well, I'm from another world, you shithead!"
She pointed the tip of the gun at Cray, then...
BANG!!
