"I couldn't gather any evidence." Mr. Park said disappointingly. I couldn't understand where they exchange things. He sighed. He was standing on one side of his office room. There were more detectives but none of them assisted him as they didn't agree to take the case from the beginning. But, he promised everyone and himself that he will catch everyone involved with the case and he will do it alone even if nobody wants to assist him. It was more like a challenge to him because all the other detectives know very well that he will fail no matter what because it's related to Johnnie. He can do anything to escape and hide his crime. But some assistant was there to help him though they were not professional. Catherine, Dae Ju, and Jheong Woo were there with him.
"You failed to do this mission," Catherine said as if it was her daily routine to remind him that he is a failure.
"I know!" he was quite disappointed.
"But, what if you found some proof?" she said smilingly. Seems like she got something.
"What do you mean?" he asked and looked at her. He took his seat and sat down on it.
"What if I give you this for evidence?" saying this she put her hand on her pocket and bring something out. It was a small packet filled with white powder.
"What is it?" Mr. Park took it from her and sniffed to recognize it.
"Woah! Did you get it? How can you get it?" everyone was surprised around her.
"I told you I am not useless!" she said with pride.
"But, where they exchange it?" Mr. Park asked her curiously.
"In the repairing shop," she replied simply.
"Oh! Really? That's why I felt fishy when I went to change my tire!" Dae Ju said surprisingly.
"What did you saw there?" Mr. Park took his notebook to note everything. I saw a Chinese racer came to the shop for changing some inner parts of his car. But his car was looking fine and his car wasn't damaged at all. The worker took one part out from it and kept it in a secure place. Not with the damaged items. So, I think they brought the drugs inside cars so that nobody can suspect them. And they gathered their drugs in the repairing shop and when a Korean racer went to the shop for showing that they need to change their parts, they supply them the drugs with those parts. Isn't it?" Dae Ju figured out.
"Hmm. It can happen. Let's figure it out together." Mr. Park was thinking deeply and said.
"Why we need to figure out when we know everything!" Catherine asked.
"That's why you are unprofessional! Our enemy is not that weak! We can't get him just by a single proof and by someone's guess! We need to collect all the evidence!" Mr. Park looked at her and make a mocking face. Catherine understands what he wanted to say. So, she stayed quiet and nod her head.
"Then, can we go now? I think we did our part, right?" Dae Ju said.
"Yes, but for now. I will call you again if I need you." Mr. Park said and took the packet of drugs and pour it into another plastic bag. He will send it to the forensic lab so that he can prove that this is a drug.
"You are awesome! How did you figure that out! That was mind-blowing!" Jheong Woo was saying like Dae Ju did a totally unexpected and very great job.
"I just said what I feel. Nothing else!" he said and start walking. Both of them were walking on the street and they were on their way home.
"Are you doing well with Soo Mi?" Dae Ju asked just because.
"Yup!" he said with confidence.
"Then, you should stay careful! She is dangerous!" Dae Ju said and smiled.
"Why? I didn't find her dangerous!" Jheong Woo said confusedly.
"She can crush you in one second!" Dae Ju smiled again but he was more like scare him.
"No! She will not do that!" Jheong Woo gives a smile but it was understandable that he was scared inside.
"Ei! I was kidding!" Dae Ju pats on his back and smiled.
"I know!" He also smiled but he didn't smile this time.
"I need to go somewhere. You should go home!" saying this Dae Ju increased his speed.
"Okay, I will go home!" he didn't ask where Dae Ju was going and he was feeling like they were going far from day to day. Dae Ju and Jheong Woo's friendship was strong before. But nowadays, he felt like they were growing apart slowly. When he came near his home, he saw Soo Mi was standing beside his home. And seeing this, he got his happiness back and smiled sweetly.
Dae Ju was going to visit Choi San. He hasn't gained his sense yet. Dae Ju was worried about him. He was feeling lonely without him. He was not like his younger brother. He was like a son to him. So, he was hurt inside by seeing him like this and felt angry on those boys and he wants to take revenge on them. But he finds no way and even if he can get revenge on them, what profit will Choi San get? He will get nothing. He has to suffer just like he is suffering now. Dae Ju was sad and he was walking slowly. It's been two days and he visited him every day but there was no chance on him. Suddenly he thought, what if his soul also changed with someone?
"It will be fun! Wait! No! He is too young! He can't handle things like me!" Dae Ju said in his mind.
He went to the hospital and directly went to Choi San's room. He was lying on the bed. But Dae Ju couldn't see his face.
"Did he wake up?" he asked the nurse who was serving him.
"Yes, a while ago. Maybe he is sleeping now," she replied and went away. But seems like she was smiling at him for some reason.
"What happened to her? Why she was smiling at me like this? I know I am handsome in this body too!" he makes a face on her and came to bed.
"San-ah! I am sorry! I shouldn't put the heavy work on you. But I thought you can do it. I didn't imagine, they will be that much harsh on you. Are you listening to me? If so then please reply to me. I want to hear your voice." Dae Ju sat down on the bed beside him.
"I will not disturb you so sleep as much as you want. But can I take a look at your face? Why you are covering it?" he said again and went to uncover his face. But, when he took off the thin blanket, he was astonished because Choi San wasn't there.
"Where did he go!" he felt very worried and looked around. But he was nowhere. He stood up immediately and snatched the whole blanket from the bed and saw there were some pillows inside the white blanket. It was understandable that he did this willingly. What if they took him with them? He will be in danger!
"No! It can't happen!" he said and came out from the room. He asked everyone around there if they saw anyone came into the room or going out from the room. But he got no answer. Where could he be? He was in tension and afraid.
"Did you see him? He was not there?" Dae Ju asked that nurse who was here a while ago.
"No! He was there a while ago." the nurse replied.
"Check in his room once more. Maybe he can be in the washroom." the nurse said.
"I didn't think so. If he needs to go washroom, then why he will cover pillows under the blanket? But still, I will check if he is there or not. Please, inform me if you find him." said Dae Ju and rushed to his room again. He came to the room again but he couldn't find him. He was not in the washroom too. Dae Ju sighed and stand near his bed. He couldn't understand what he should do.
"Should I call Mr. Park? Will he help me?" he asked himself. Suddenly his eyes have been covered. Dae Ju felt it was a man's hand and he was making fun like this. Dae Ju holds his hands and exceeded his eyes and turned back. It was Choi San and he was smiling.
"How I make you fool!" saying to his he started laughing.
"Where did you go? I was so worried! Ah! Why you did that? You make me scared!" Dae Ju nearly yelled at him.
"I am sorry. I wanted to make some fun." Choi San makes a guilty face and said.
"Don't do this again! Ah! I was so afraid!" saying this he hugged him.
"You are not angry with me. Are you?" Choi San asked cutely.
"No!" saying this he thought something for a while then he said again,
"Yes! Never do this again! Got it?" he leaves him and said by looking at him.
"Yes, I understand. But, can I go home now? I am feeling bored! I was waiting for you for a long time! And after three hours, you came! Wasn't you too harsh? Why you didn't come earlier?" he asked and acted like he was fine.
"I am sorry. I couldn't come earlier. You know, I have so many things to do!" Dae Ju said and make a sorry face.
"Okay, I will forgive you if you treat me some beef." Choi San smiled naughtily.
"Okay, but can you eat that? You just woke up!" Dae Ju was confused.
"I can! It's not like I have any heart or liver surgery!" Choi San acted like he was wiser than Dae Ju. But that time, Lina entered the room with a big bag. Maybe she brings something for him.
"Nobody is going anywhere! I can't understand what's your problem with the hospital! I am mentioning both of you!" Lina said as if she was done by their behavior.
"You don't like this place too!" Choi San asked and looked at Dae Ju.
"No! Why you are saying this?" Dae Ju asked Lina and looked at her asking with his eyes why she was exposing him.
"Sit down. I will feed you." Lina said and took out the boxes which she brought from home.
"But, how did you know that he woke up? I mean, you need time for cooking, isn't it?" Dae Ju asked.
"I got a call from the nurse. She told me that he gains his sense and he seems fine." Lina said. Choi San has a bandage on his arm but he was acting as nothing happened to him. He sat down as his legs were hurting. He needs to rest well but he was not a person to sit calmly with doing nothing.
"Good boy," Lina said and took out the dishes in a bowl.
"Porridge! Ah! I don't like it! I want ramyeon!" seeing the menu he didn't like it because he wants something else to eat.
"No! You can't eat heavy food! I will cook for you later, okay? But, you should eat them if you want to be healthy soon!" Lina tried to make him understand with her amazing sweet voice. Literally, nobody can avoid her sweet request and it was not different for Choi San too.
"Promise?" he was acting cute.
"Yes, promise!" Lina said and give that sweet smile.
"Then, I will eat," he said. Dae Ju was standing behind and he was watching them. He felt happy by seeing them.
Lina was looking like a mom and Choi San was her four years old kid. But he was insisted on her going home and eat tasty food. But, Lina can't allow him as he was sick. But she didn't yell at him, she just makes him understand with her words. And he was the dad who was standing in one corner while thinking about paying hospital bills as it was costly. It's the picture that Lina dreamt about long ago. And after many years, her dream came true though she wasn't aware of it.
Lina was feeding San as his a was broken. But, some times later suddenly, he got emotional. He couldn't eat more. He was looking down.
"What happened? Is there something wrong?" Lina asked worriedly.
"No! I was just thinking about something." Choi San sighed. What? There is so much time to think! You should finish your food first!" Dae Ju said and sit beside Lina.
"Why you are doing this to me?" he asked disappointedly.
"What? What did we do?" Lina asked curiously. She thought they made some mistakes which make him feel sad.
