As soon as his words fell, countless shadows rushed out from the darkness. They surrounded the entire Inn in a well practiced formation.
"If a fight is what you want then count me in." While saying that, Roy summoned his spear again, and rushed towards the old man with lightning speed.
As if he had already anticipated the attack, the old man immediately retreated back through the entry that he made, and rushed into the core of the offensive formation.
"A total of 22 people. Each one is a mage who has already formed a mana core. It is definitely another great house who has planned the attack." Roy scanned the surroundings, and muttered under his breath.
Looking at Arvad's room not far away from their position, a solemn expression appeared on Roy's face. "Looks like it's time to get serious." He circulated the mana inside his body at a crazy speed, and took out a small circular bar-like object from his robe.

With a slight push, the small bar turned into a long spear, which was firmly held by his strong hands. It shone metallic bronze with a snake head at the tip.
As soon as the mana was injected into the spear, the lifeless eyes of the snake flickered with red, and it transitioned from a prey to predator.
"Don't let him use any spells, attack him immediately."
The old man ordered, and the two mages at the front immediately rushed out in order to attack him.
The attackers directly started with the strongest skills in their arsenal, and joined hands to make a deadlock for Roy.
Seeing the incoming strikes, Roy smiled confidently. The mana intricately channeled into the spear, lighting it up with a crimson flame. It roared towards the enemies, spewing crimson carnage on the path of blood it made.
Seeing the unstoppable spear, the two attackers immediately withdrew their offensive, and turned defensive. Shards of ice formed one after another, turning into a strong wall of defense in front of them.
The fire had a vague shadow of a venomous snake as it infiltrated the opponents' defense like a poison.
The fire met ice, creating a sizzling commotion, and the ice shield appeared fragile as it melted, layer by layer, finally crumbling away into a beautiful snowfall beneath the supremacy of raging spear.
Boom!
Under the song of ice and fire, the entire Marthe Town trembled, and the night sky burned as bright as dawn for a fleeting second.
Through the tongues of fire, the old man only saw two familiar silhouettes struggling under the agony of their melting flesh. He felt a slight tremor when he looked at the thin man beyond the flames, who held his spear like a god of war.
"Quickly form a formation, and make a binding spell around him," The old man roared.
The shocked attackers' immediately awakened out of their trance, and rushed to suppress Roy together.
"Let's turn the elements chaotic around him," said one of the black-armored men. "Everyone together on my call."
Roy saw vivid colors flash in front of his eyes, and found himself in the center of a strange pressure. Even the thrumming fire on his spear dimmed, and his imposing power decreased to a severe extent.
Countless domains formed around him one after another, making a prism, and enveloping him inside. There was a flash of lightning due to the clash of different elements, and an unknown chaotic power was surging inside the domain jointly formed by countless mages.
"You guys sure know some interesting skills. The teamwork, impeccable formation, and strategic implementation. You all can't be nameless dogs of some small organization, right?" Roy asked with a contemptuous smile.
One of the enemy mages sneered. "Shouldn't you be more worried about your life instead of us."
Another one cheered, "Hahaaa. Well said indeed."
"You mean this small bubble you made for me?" With a slight smile, Roy raised his spear above his head, and roared, "BREAK FOR ME!"
The fire roamed free from the tip of the spear, and the domains exploded one after another. Everything was engulfed in the explosion, making it impossible for the fragile infrastructure of Marthe Town to not be swept into the catastrophe.
The impact sent all the mages flying, and they spat blood due to the terrifying backlash. Each of their faces were pale, horror replacing their former smug expression.
Past the thick curtains of flame, Roy stood on the mountain of debris, and the earth wall he formed around the Inn also dispersed after the aftermath. There was not a single scratch on one of the oldest buildings of the Marthe Town, while every neighboring building around it was in pieces.
"Is that all you have got?" With a slight jerk, Roy changed the grip of the spear, holding it vertically towards the fallen mages. "Since that is all you have got, I will send you on your way."
Roy's right foot lightly tapped on the irregular surface, and he disappeared in the next second, leaving behind the unstable mountain of debris as it fell after being unable to withstand the repercussions of his powerful launch.
"Ahh, have mercy." The loud cry of mercy was followed by a low thud of a lifeless corpse. The mages only saw a flying carcass which was perfectly cut in half, and the mountain of blood that descended along with it.
The horrible smell of blood and charred flesh permitted in the vicinity, increasing the heartbeat of each mages.
They looked around with alert eyes, dreadful of the doom that loomed around them. Only the sound of their thumping heartbeats echoed in their ears, and the cry resounded again, with the signature low thud.
One after another, the elegant footwork reaped the lives of their comrades while they could only stand helplessly, waiting for their deaths.
The old man's entire body was bathed in cold sweat, and his steps were frozen by the one-sided massacre. Suddenly, his eyes fell on the Inn which stood unharmed under the near apocalypse, and a smile appeared on his lips. "I should go and close that window lest the owner's sleep is disturbed by all this commotion."
As he said that, his feet started to hover above the ground, and he immediately rushed for the open window with an unbelievable speed.
Roy immediately stopped when he heard that, and slowly turned to look at the back of the old man. His entire face was drenched in the blood of his enemy, and the crimson fire around his spear gave him a demonic look.
He shouted grimly, "You dare!"
The ground below him trembled, and the earth element conjured together to form a stairway for Roy. Whenever his feet fell on air, the earth steps enveloped them, making a way for him, as he quickly chased after the old man.
