Her eyes fluttered open only to look up to pale gray walls, the foul stench of antibiotics, hit her nose which made her face crumble and that jogged her memory to remember exactly where she was.
"You are awake," Aunt Catleya walked through the door, with a nervous smile which made Tiana roll her eyes at her devious display of affection towards her.
She was acting as if she wasn't in alliance with what her mother did to her, they played her like a fool preventing her from seeing her father.
Unfortunately, she was in no mood to treat her like she's part of her family. The only redemption that would save both her, and her mother would be if her father was safe, and didn't die.
"He's fine, he's taking a rest since the surgery." Catleya replied, to a question that she asked with just one glance at her face.
Tiana tried to stand up, only to be held back by the IV in her arm. That's when she looked to her left to see that she was on medication.
