Unexpected encounter
Vincent POV
The self isolation did tend to drive me a bit mad, even more so knowing I couldn't go see her. I've been pulled to her more than once, the feeling of her slipping was scarring. Today, it stung deeper, even if I didn't feel her emotions, I could sense she was near. For some reason, closer than normal. Unable to stop myself, I showered and shaved, intent on checking in on her again. Just from a distance.
Maybe she was somewhere in the area shopping?
I didn't know, but the magnetism was stronger than before. The doorman held the door for me as I took my first steps out of the building in a much too long. He smiled pleasantly, bowing; I had no regard for him, my sole focus on her. There was crowd of people around still, mostly workers, some of their paramours and others enjoying an evening at the local restaurants.
