Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Preparation

Preparation

I had a long week at work and dealing with Madison made it even worse. She had a list of things she wanted to 'get done' before we went to the event. Waxing, haircuts, facials, manicures/pedicures and of course, her damn lessons. I was okay with some of this, I did have another date with Drew this weekend, and I guess it would help me be prepared.

She insisted that we sit down nightly and go over her pro tips for being a prostitute. We went over so many inane things, like dinner etiquette and believable moaning. It was completely pointless but I entertained her fancies.

More than anything, I needed the time to consider what I was doing. Drew and I messaged back and forth constantly, we didn't get a chance to see each other, but we did video chat a few times. I wanted to see him, but at the same time, I didn't. I think being away from it for just a short period made me realize things were moving too fast. And what we have isn't exactly healthy.

I had to make sure he knew that too. It was only be fair if I did, because I still plan to join Madison for the event. That is something I was doing for myself.

And when it was over?

If he's still there, then we will give it a try.

For now, I would be prepare myself as best I could.

I had always had long hair, for as long as I could remember. I dyed it a few times, but I rarely cut it. When I woke from my coma, my hair had been allowed to grow the entire time. We went to a spa in Beverly Hills where Madison had all of her pampering done. I was obviously upset, knowing how hard I had been working to pay bills, and she's spending thousands of dollars on these sessions.

I decided that losing part of my hair was needed, but I didn't think I needed anything else. But, Madison seemed to think I did. Before I knew it, my hair was layered in thousands of foils of bleach. The stylist and Madison were holding up different color samples to my head, talking like I wasn't even there. After a couple of hours, they finally rinsed my hair, my hair developing this almost white look on my head, I was stuck. Somehow, I thought this felt good. I interrupted them, "Ladies," they both stopped talking and looked back towards me; I was running my fingers through my hair now, "Can we just maybe leave it like this?"

The stylist looked me over, brushing her fingers through it, "If you want white, we will want to tone it a little still, just knock out the last of the orange tint."

"Yeah, white. I like it!" Madison said, putting her arms on my shoulders, "You will look stunning."

"And the benefit is, when the greys start to come in, it'll only make it easier." The stylist quipped.

She led me back to her chair, now running her fingers through my hair, adding more and more different products. I had to sit again, this time just for 15 minutes, but I was anxious to see the finished product. She rinsed my hair, and started drying it. Once she was finished, she handed me a mirror, and I looked on in awe. It was odd, with my dark eyebrows, but it did look pretty good. I knew it wouldn't last long before my muddy brown hair started to grow back, but for the next couple of weeks, I was going to be this.

Madison paid and tipped very well, and I left that place looking like someone else. Perfect hair on my head, the rest of my hair ripped from my body, and this fresh complexion. I had perfect eyebrows for the first time in my life and a manageable manicure, my nails the same sultry dark red color as my dress. It was odd to see myself dressed up like this, even if this is the same plain jane outfit I always wore, I felt very different right then.

Best part of this, I get to show my new look off to Drew for our date tonight. I wonder if he would like the changes I made. It was afternoon, so I had to head home to get dressed and put on makeup. He told me specifically he didn't want anything too fancy but I wanted to look my best without over doing it. I found an elegant black romper in Madison's closet; it has a veil over the midrift and a high waste line. I felt fancy but not too stuck up.

My makeup was a simple smokey eye, with a few cute stamp additions, a bat and star. I paired that with a nude lip and a slight highlight, trying to accent my cheek bones (the only thing being severely underweight does for you). I took a picture of myself like that, wondering if this is what I was meant to be all along. I felt strong, like I could take on the world.

7pm snuck up on me quickly, as I rushed to grab my things and slip on my heels. I had been training with Madison nightly, trying to get used to wearing them. She taught me to spray my feet with lidocaine to help with the pain, and I am getting better with them daily. The only thing I like is the way it makes my ass look.

I called an Uber and took the relatively short drive to Drew's place. I messaged him as I got there, "I'm here, buzz me in." The door buzzed and I headed to the elevator. He had offered to come pick me up, but he was cooking and I knew I might be late with Madison at the helm for the day. As the door to the elevator opened, Drew was on the other side waiting with flowers.

"Kavi?" he questioned.

I took down my shades, smiling coyly, "Bad?"

He took a moment, looking at me up and down, stuttering a bit, "You look amazing, just not what I expected I guess." He grabbed my hand leading me down the hall to his place. Once we got inside he turned to me, pull me right in front of him, he looked me over, this time a bit closer, "It might take a little getting used to. But you are absolutely stunning." He leaned in, planting a gentle kiss.
