The sun set high in the sky, shining brightly. The blue and white cloud were moving slowly to the west.
In the ground, the evolved worm ate the fallen leaf of tree happily, it didn't aware of danger around, enjoying its last moment before it got torn apart in half by a big hand of red-eyed rabbit. It took the evolved worm and tried to chew it, unfortunately not long after getting the prey, it was stomped to death by three eyed ape that jumped from branch of tree. The tree eyed ape grabbed the red eyed rabbit and chew it while dancing happily, ignoring the threat that still linger in the area. There was a shieeerk sound before it felt a shadow above it.
But it didn't get the chance to run before getting stabbed to death by the sharp claws of Golden Eagle. With the shrriiek sound, it flew away quickly.
This was nature
Even after the 'katalis', the predators and prey were still circulating until now. The difference was only there were more species that were born from the great explosion of green gas than in the past.
Unfortunately, the ultimate truth would never change
The strong would survive, the weak would be dead
The iron rule of jungle never changed
Changing the point of view, zooming to the depth in the Loji forest. There was a young man walking slowly to the west.
Jantan was checking out the injuries that accumulated from battle yesterday. He looked down below on his body and saw that aside of deep slashing chest that still had a trace, his fractured bone and his broken fingers in his right hand were all healed. This all happened because of natural regeneration from the physical body of evolver combined with the energy contained in the meat of Blood Red Tiger which he digested it all, made his regeneration multiple times faster.
"It will be healed in a week i suppose" he scratched his head, remembering some bad memories from the past that remind him of fractured bones.
"Everyone had their own difficult times, i'm glad i had passed it though"
Walking down on the road casually, he was thinking on what would he buy from the Mojo city considering that he was capable financially now
"Let's say two, three..no five Perubahan food for safety. Two identifiable danger tools, five energy capsules...hmmm what else?" He's striking his chin, trying to think what should he buy this time
"Well i think that's enough for now. Let's see later" Dropping his thought, Jantan continued to walk to the west. Looking out the sun that hadn't been set set high yet, he accelerated his speed. He knew that he had to arrive before dark.
Mojo City,
When common people before the 'katalis' travelled here, they would be surprised by how different the situation was.
Mojo City was one of the five cities under the Republic Of Indie. It located closer to Loji Forest on east side as well and Kerakaten Desert to far east. Its west side was Sura City which was the capital of Republic Of Indie, on it south was Mojo river which reached from Sura city on the west to the edge of Loji Forest. Rang city was its north.
As one of five precious cities that had survived the 'katalis', Mojo city, as like other cities, was heavily guarded by the joint venture of Ministy Of Military and Ministry Of Civilian Affairs. Every adult person here either normal person or an evolver was obligated to bring at least one cold weapon such as knife, sword, etc in hands if they went out. Hot weapons such as pistol and Assault Riffles were allowed if they had money to buy. This was one of the new rules designed by The United Government to protect its citizens from the monsters. Of course, there were more rules to add after 'katalis' such as unarmed a man or a woman was prohibited to go out alone except for half-evolver and an evolver, every 5 years old child had to go the government school to learn basic educations which was mixed with military training, and the forbidden fight against each other being either normal human and evolver because there had been decreases of the number of humans since the 'katalis'.
In other words, new world gave birth to new rules that had to be obeyed for the sake of mankind.
The city like Mojo also had many evolvers in it either they stay to guard or just want to visit buying something. There were many ordinary evolvers and even there would definitely be a national level evolver to guard against if there were the beasts outbreak.
For common knowledge, ordinary human had only one digit of danger level. There wes also half-evolver which meant that they ate Perubahan food, but failed to awaken their powers. There had been cases like this but fortunately it was not too much, it was a minority. The reason why they failed to awaken their powers according Prof. Habi, The Chief Of Ministry Of Science was because of the green energy intake that was not enough circulating in their blood veins, resulting on the failure.
Fortunately, even half evolver was sometimes called as a 'failure', but they still had more power than ordinary human beings. They were stronger, faster, and sometimes 'smarter' in certain cases. Half evolvers' danger level were ranged around 1-14.
The next was the evolver. Those who had this title were whom danger levels were in range between 15-50. These people were the majority of the composition of mankind now. They were the reasons why human could resist the invasion of abnormal beasts and plants, they were the main spears of humanity.
Of course, in this world now. Having strength meant having more authority. Most of high level people who were sitting down and had high authority were the evolvers, either in one type or another. It was all kids' dream to become one and protect their homes.
Different with the evolver who was the majority of mankind, national level evolver was even rarer. They were such because of the difficulty to reach this level. Most evolver stopped growth at ordinary evolver level, it was very difficult to climb up to national one except for some lucky, talented, or even consuming certain herbs for evolvers.
National level evolver was usually called as the middle rank of evolvers, they had around 51-100 danger level. It was truly a mega player in the city like this.
With many evolvers and one National level evolver, Mojo city was in easy peace since decades this rule was implemented.
Aside of seeing cold weapon in the pedestrians' waists, the buildings were also changed to durable ones and got reinforced heavily, more to the village that the kids, Rudi and Shinta lived.
Entering the city, Jantan walked casually. He looked at the right and left sides, knowing if there would be open shops that specialized on buying the remaining of beasts.
It was 5 p.m in afternoon and the sky was painted red, slowly began to darken. People were busy with their own affairs. Sometimes there would be tall and burly people with bloody aura surrounding them, walking fiercely with variety of weapons in their backs. That was a common image of evolver, they were taller and bigger than human in terms of physical appearance, even Jantan whom was 3 meters tall, weren't much having difference with these people.
Looking at the word business with the image of beasts roaring on the door, he walked to it. Ringing the bell located beside the door, he walked in. There were already some evolvers who were doing the business with the owner. Hearing the bell, they stopped what they were doing and looking back to the door. Jantan was unfazed by many pair of eyes, looking for a place to sit down, he walked to the edge and found empty chairs. He sat and wait.
"One good condition black cobra skin, a broken fang, and some of its eggs that are ready to hatch...
17.000 duwits, how about it?" Asking the owner of shop, he was a black burly man two meters tall with a huge sword in his waist. He was a clearly an evolver
The man frowned "Only 17k? How about 20k? I almost got bitten to bring it you know"
"18k, deal or not. I don't take many profits from this" the owner said coldly which made the man's frown even further. A few seconds after silence, he finally sighed
"Okay, 18k deal" Two of them shaked their hands, reaching the agreement. The owner opened his wallet, taking off some, and giving the money to the man that left the room a few seconds later. After taking the materials to the storage room, he came back
"Next.."
It's a few hours later that it was finally Jantan's turn.
"Ohh Blood Red Tiger's complete skin, claws, tail and..." Grabbing the long fang, he swung it through the reinforced floor, creating the hole a few centimeters deep
"what a sharp fang" he said amazed
Looking at Jantan, he said "young man, how about 250k duwits for all of these?"
Jantan though for a few seconds before he nodded
"Okay"
For him money was not a problem at all, at least in his opinion, by not offering the price lower it was already very good. Counting it to help the owner's business.
After receiving the money, he waved to the owner and quit the room.
The sky was already dark, walking to the one of the shops, he bought five Perubahan food, two identifiable danger tools, and five energy capsules. After all paid that cost him 252,050 duwits which consisted of 50k×5 Perubahan Food, 1k×2 identifiable danger tools, and 10×5 energy capsules. He still had around half a milion duwits for completing the mission days ago. Nodding his head in satisfaction, he walked to south which was the orphanage of Mojo city existed.
For an easy procedure while doing a mission, The United Government, TUG invented identifiable danger tools for mankind. It was a small glass-ring shaped that was equipped on the ear. Its function was screening the beast in front of the user to analyze its power, weakness, and danger level. The data was taken from countless sacrifices of mankind from the 'katalis' until now therefore it always had update regularly to prevent having unknown knowledge to new beasts.
This was the most bought tool for humans either an ordinary human or an evolver because for the latter, it was crucial for mission and the former it's always good to have preparation earlier if they met beasts on the way.
Energy capsule was the compressed wheat, meat, and many other nutritions food formed into a capsule. Its price was 10 duwits per one. It was also able to hold on for a few days. Because of its practicality, it was the most commonly food brought by the evolvers before going to mission. Sadly, non evolvers were seldom eating this food because it was more expensive compared to their daily food, nasi bungkus that costs eight duwits
Jantan prepared all of this because the next mission might be dangerous

"It looks like i need to move my stiff body for a bit more. I can feel that my legs were still stiff during the fight with Blood Red Tiger after all" He mumbled
"I relaxed too long, if teacher saw me now, he would be definitely angry beyond imagination" he suddenly chuckled evilly, imagining the picture of his teacher reaction, making people who saw him stay back a little bit
