The temperature was rising steadily, there was occasionally wind coming, bringing the fresh oxygen that were being absorbed greedily by plants

They wore armored attire, consisted of thick a few centimeters steels covering their clothes and their pants. They had variety of weapons in their waists which most of them being broadswords, some people even had heavy machine guys on their shoulders.
They stood on the place like jungle which had many trees around, half meter high dancing bush was affected by the strong wind making it danced gracefully.
The team looking around carefully, trying to spot anything that was suspicious.
One of them, by looking on the most number of badge of beast skulls in his chest compared to others, he looked like the leader
"Beta, how is your situation?" He asked the person in front of him
"There is no problem with supply and ammunition, but we can't track it now. We need to be extra careful in case of it attacks us" The so called 'Beta' answered truthfully making the leader frowned
Turning his head, he sighed
"The most important thing escaped from us. It's very unfortunate, really"
He looked at the environment around him, his frown went deeper
"This is its favourite terrain, in case of sneak attacks it's difficult for us to guard against"
He looked on the shining sun which was high in the sky, he thought for a few seconds. Finally he turned his body, facing the other members, he said
"Let's move. Let's search the suitable terrain on the way. At the same time stay on high alert, don't be careless!"

The team started to walk, unaware that their position had been locked by a pair of eyes.
On one of the tree branch,
Stood a young man looking from above. He only had a big hiking backpack in his back. Different with the team just now, this young man looked like not bringing any weapons in his body.
Jantan narrowed his eyes as he looked at the team that started to take off
"That skull badge, is it the Hunter?" He thought
"Looks like they are here for Fang Bullet Wolf too"
Aside of The United Government or TUG, there was another famous organization acknowledged by TUG that focused solely in killing beasts and sold them for money. They were like another version of Bounty Hunter. Normally their line up consisted of seven members with one leader of the team. Most of members in the Hunter Guild were evolvers, but they prefered to call themselves as warriors.
They ranked their power based on the number of skull shaped badge in their chest. The more it was, the stronger and the higher their position in the Hunter Guild.
The leader just now was three skulls shaped badge in his chest
"Middle level ordinary evolver" he thought, trying to measure the danger level of the leader of team. Turning his head to the remaining members, he said
"Five low ordinary evolver, one mid ordinary evolver, and one ordinary human"
"Maybe she was forced to join to begin with" he thought as he saw the only ordinary human amongst them, the one wielding a heavy machine gun in her hand.
Honestly even Jantan he acknowledged that she's pretty strong for ordinary human to be able bringing heavy machine gun.
"However, i'm afraid this line up wouldn't no match for it" he said after remembering the strength of the beast according to the TUG's information
Some of people in Hunter Guild even accept murder invitation as long as the money was enough, Rumor had said that they often did mission with underground organizations meaning that they were very close. Aside of doing mission, they usually spent their time on entertainment.
Well that was not a problem.
However the problem was there were many cases of disabled people, death, and even mentally trauma people that had "relations" with them. There were not proofs who the culprits were linked to them, but the number of cases were so much so that it was even difficult to not suspect them
That made common people hate and curse them.

It was all for naught because the leader of Hunter Guild was one of top ten evolvers
He sat down on the same chairs along with the strongest spears alive of humanity
That's why TUG closed one eye and open the other regarding this situation. They thought that as long as there were no proofs and the situation was not critical, Hunter Guild was still needed for the part of humanity power.
That what made ordinary people avoided them
You could know what fate was awaiting for a non evolver without power when meeting with wicked evolver in this changing world

Remembering the information, Jantan's calm face changed slightly. His eyes narrowed as his hands clenched. Unsubsconciously, his energy skyrocketed, startling many beasts around him.
Realising that he needed to control himself, he got calmer immediately
The team leader's neck hair stood up, taking a meter long broadsword from his back in hurry, he readied himself
He was looking on the surrounding, his body tensed
"Is it Fang Bullet Wolf? But it's energy was like controlled to some extent, the moment i got ready next moment it disappeared. The beast should attack directly now instead of pulling its energy back..."
"Is it evolver?"
After feeling nothing for a few seconds later, he calmly a bit
"Let's go, let's search a safe place before dark, stay alert all the time" he finally said
Looking on their leader's instruction, the team was lowing their vigilances a bit and walked carefully
"Oops that was close!" Jantan swiped his non existent sweat. Trying to calm himself down, he thought while he started tracking them carefully
"Teacher got me, i really was not suitable to be a tracker" he thought chuckled slightly as he remembered the past
It was very difficult to change one's nature after all
"Let's see how it goes" He said coldly as he continued tracking the hunter
Chance like this, he would never let them go from his finger..
Because he believed that oppression of people was the same oppression of himself

Meanwhile, on the big branch of tree, three tents stood up. Two people guarded the outside the tents with their sword and heavy machine gun in hands. They were full alerts since they were tasked to guard in shift and it was their turns. The remaining six people were heard sleeping,, the sound of the snorings could be heard within that area.
Two dozen meters from them, Jantan meditated on the highest branch of big tree. He had been doing this since the the team of Hunter Guild stopped to rest. To calm himself down, he needed to do a meditation, it's also has another function namely to increase his inner energy in his body.
The power of green gas that circulated in one's body helped evolver to gain stronger body, smarter mind, or strange abilites. However, there was also the energy amount that needed to be keeping eyes on, if the user used the excessive green energy in his body without concern, it could even make him in coma and the worst case was death. It was like the life energy, using all of them simultaneously was not different with squeeze all of one's life energy. That's why if the amount of energy of one's evolver was 100, he needed to use 80 at max or else his movement process would be delayed, his sight would get blurred, and he could fall into come at anytime.
Two types of evolver, ordinary evolver and national level evolver used the inner energy or their green gas inside their bodies to active their abilities.
A few hours passed and the shift kept changing, the beasts on jungle was in riot. Fortunately, they couldn't even get close to the resting people as it was like forbidden area. The instinct of beasts made them realize that there were enemies that they shouldn't disturb here. Another reason was people chose right place for night, sleeping on higher place was ultimately better than on the ground. It was a basic survival
Without realizing it, the sun started to get higher and the light emitted starting to disperse the darkness.
The people from Hunter guild were all seen standing up. The tents and miscellaneous items such as trash can had been placed back, as to remove the evidence that they had been here.
That's the evolver standard for camping in the wild
Jantan stood, he ate some energy capsules to replenish his energy. Knowing that the team started to move, he followed behind them through one branch to another branch of trees. He was like an agile monkey
The morning started and the jungle's sounds receded a lot, it seemed that many inhabitants of this place were nocturnal beasts making them active in night.
The eight members team including the leader from Hunter Guild walked vigilantly, unaware that they had been followed since they started hunting.
The common situation in forest might appear again
The predator and prey might be changed
The predator could become the prey that they underestimated on
A few seconds later, the sound of bird chirping and the beast around them stopped
The leader of team frowned seeing the strange situation, he stopped suddenly making the others members behind him to stop
Before the co leader could open his mouth to ask what happened, suddenly there was a whushh sound before the blur figure could be seen jumped behind the tree at fast speed. It landed on the the center of team, grabbing a long broadsword wielding middle age man to his right and bite him,
The blood splashed
The head of middle age man getting crushed cleanly that even he had no time to shout. The body fall as it had no bones. The beast swallowed the remaining of crushed head before he thrown the body far away
"Formation B!!! Attack!!" The team leader shouted after seeing that their prey finally appeared
Without waiting further edo, each team members jumped closer to the leader. At the same time, the one wielding heavy machine gun, a middle age woman started to fire to the beasts

The rating fire of heavy machine gun created dense deadly bullets, even armored tanks would be no different with a porcupine if it were shot.
Unfortunately,
The beast in front of them disappeared at the moment bullets came
The team members had formation in small circle, they guarded each other backs, facing the jungle.
Facing the beast that superior in speed, this was truly an effective tactic to apply
The shadow came from the air, its huge figure landed on ground at fast speed
"Above!!" The leader shouted suddenly, many team members bulged their hands wielding broadsword, engulfing it with energy to create sharper and more destructive weapon.

The burly man wielding shining energy broadsword in his hand resisted the attack.
A second later, his eyes got widen
He then got thrown away a dozen meters
The beast roared knowing that he had superior strength, but within a second it was occupied, it seemed got injured in its left hand,
Unfortunately not,
The broadsword energy engulfed gave this beast left hand only a light scratch, it couldn't even break its study skin
"Oh shit!" Seeing the attack didn't work, the man jumped back
But it was too late
As the silver sharp claws suddenly swung diagonally, creating the sharp sound of wind and dispersing the dust
Before point the impact, the man put his long broadsword in front of his face to resist the attack. Unfortunately he still got thrown a few meters away
The beast got no moment of victory before it had to brace itself of consecutive attacks
The slash of broadsword energy engulfed
The punch shining with energy
The barrage of heavy machine gun in point blank range
These attacks created loud sounds. It was like a dozen grenades exploded simultaneously in the point of impact.
The ground trembled, the trees shook, and some leaves fall down.
Meanwhile, dozen meter higher. On one of the tree branches, a young man observed the situation. He saw a huge silver beast, its size was smaller that of Blood Red Tiger he killed earlier, around four meters long and one meter a half high. This beast was wolf-shaped, with a half meter sharp fangs and a dozen centimeters long claws. It had sturdy silver skin.
If the Blood Red Tiger was like a heavy tank, then this beast was armored military motor.
"Here you are, Fang Bullet Wolf"
"They say that it can move at the speed of bullet. Let's see" Jantan said calmly
