Geo came and told us that he has been able to convince them that I shouldn't be released yet. We were both moved to a different room, probably because we were no longer going to be tortured since Dad has accepted to be the transporter.
The reason we were put through difficult situations was that they needed to coerce Dad into being the transporter.
The room we got moved into was a better one compared to the one we were in before. This one has a slightly large bed not big enough for a set of adults but suitable at least for two kids. The room is not as large as the previous one is as big as our classroom back in school and it does not have chairs scattered all over but is neatly arranged like my room on a Saturday afternoon after Mum finishes arranging it. The room that the room has a bathroom for us to take a bath makes it better.
We took turns having our bath as we've not had a bath for weeks now. Geo came after we showered. Geo told us that we are restricted to the room only. We don't have a choice after all since they lock the door at all times and all open it when Geo wants to come in.
The room has two rectangular windows on two sides of the room. I was glad the window was big enough to let in rays of sunshine and allows us to know when it was day or night, sadly though, the window is too small to fit in even a toddler. I was not planning to execute a prison break either so it is not much of a concern.
I was telling you that Geo entered the room. Yes, he did. He sat on one edge of the bed when he came in. There were no chairs in the room. I was not expecting him to come that day actually since he couldn't have met my Dad so soon and he wouldn't tell us his plan till he meets Dad.
"Do you like your new room" Geo sat down after he sat down and explored the room from nook to nook with his eyes.
"Yes" Jane answered with a smile plastered on her face.
"It is better than the former one, at least," I replied.
"I requested that you be moved to a new room as there's no need for harsh treatments any longer. That doesn't matter though. I'm here to speak with you Mase" Geo said. I gave him that 'ME?' look and he nodded.
"I don't know how things would go with your Dad. I've not been able to contact him yet but that's not the issue, it's just a matter of time. The problem is if he will accept. He might decide not to partake in rescuing Jane, I doubt that but just in case he does refuse, we'll need another plan.
I don't have any now so it leaves us with you, Mase. You'll need to talk your Dad into accepting to help us. The other thing is you'll need to go through some training. Trust me, you'll pass through more problems soon due to the nature of your Dad's new job and you'll need combat skills to escape some situations. I'll teach you how to pick locks and sneak around this base, also you'll receive combat training from me and my trusted boys. Do you understand?".
I shook my head.
"Why will I pass through difficult situations since Dad already accepted the offer and what kind of combat skill do you think my body can learn" I retorted not because I wasn't intrigued by the idea of learning how to fight so I could beat those seniors that bully me in school and be a better knight but how am I supposed to maneuver my way these huge men that always have the look of a black panther on a moonless night.
"You have every reason to learn combat boy," Geo said "look at your Dad, who do you think they'll come for if anything happens. You are frail and defenseless and you'll be creating more problem for your Dad by remaining weak. So you need to get strong. Do you understand now?". I nodded though I never hope face any of those men in combat.
That night, Geo came around and led me out of our room. He had sent the men that stand in front of our room at every hour of the day. They never leave. I know this because they are always the ones who open the door when Geo comes in. They are different people from those who always stand by Geo's side when we were still in the other room.
When we got outside, I saw men standing in twos at one point or another around the base. This is the first time I'm seeing the base, we were knocked out the first time they brought us here and were blindfolded when they led us to the room earlier in the day. This base covers a significant amount of land in the middle of nowhere. It is a big base with different buildings of irregular patterns here and there.
We were sneaking around the base to where I no not. Geo's footsteps are so silent and he moves very fast through the shadows which just confirms that he's an ex-soldier. His speed is an impossible feat for a kid like me, his movements are like fantom and he was obviously not exerting any energy at all in doing this. I kept bumping into things here and there, making annoying noises that always make Geo send me an angry, telling me to watch my steps. It is only a miracle that the noise hasn't attracted the attention of the men standing at attention but they seem not to pay attention to these noises.
I followed Geo through some kind of hidden gate far from where the men are standing. It seems we are out of the base because Geo slowed down his pace and he began to walk normally.
"Where are we goin', are we not there yet," I asked as I was getting tired from the whole sneaking and running. It was exhausting.
"We are almost there" Geo replied as he picked up the pace again.
We soon got to an open field not too far from the gate we had passed through. The land seems like it was cleared by someone for their own advantage and not a work of nature. If you look well, beyond the thick shadows of darkness, you'll see a building. It looks dilapidated like it has been there for a thousand years.
"Here we are" Geo said excitedly, winking at me. He looked like some ancient perv when he winked. I gave him a very disgusting look and walked towards the house.
The smell of rustiness hit my nose as I entered the building. The building is just like a hall. Nothing special, just an open space extending to the very end of the building. I saw two other people on the other side of the hall but as soon as I saw them, I didn't see them again. I thought it was just an illusion so I push it to the back of my mind.
Just as I was getting rid of the thought, some invisible person that I don't know where they came from snatched my torch out of my hand, I wanted to shout and call out to Geo but before I could say anything, my legs were already up and my head upside down.
"Geoooo help me" I called for help. I thought I've been kidnapped again. All I got in response to my call was a very loud and hysterical laughter. Three people suddenly point torches in my eyes.
"Welcome to training boy".
