Qin Yan wondered what Xi Jung wanted to know. But she still replied, "Ask away."
"How did you find Baby? What were you doing in the store room?" Xi Jung asked with a scrutiny in his voice. Although he knew that she meant no harm, he still wanted to know the entire situation.
"I entered the store room for some reason that I don't wish to mention. I found the little boy trembling there. I got closer to him and realized that he is having a high fever and thus I brought him to this hospital. Other than this, I cannot tell you anything more," Qin Yan answered with a tone neither too hurried nor too slow.
Xi Jung want to ask more but he understood that it was not appropriate to press the other party, "Thank you for everything you have done. If you don't mind, I want to treat you to a meal sometime. I wonder if you could give me your contact details, so that we can arrange the meet," Xi Jung asked politely.
"No need. I didn't do any favour on you. It was my choice and my decision. There is no need for further contact. Now, if you'll excuse me, I wish to go home," Qin Yan said calmly.
Xi Jung was further surprised by the answer. Normally people would die to have a meal with him. Even if not for money and connections, but for his face. He was quite confident of his looks.
'Why doesn't it work for her? Has my charm reduced? Why is she so cold?'
While thinking about it, Xi Jung said, "It's fine if you don't want to have a meal. But it is late night and too dangerous for you to go home alone. Let my assistant drop you at your residence as a grateful gesture," His tone clearly indicating that he wouldn't take no for an answer.
Qin Yan pondered over the situation and discerned that he may be right. Moreover, she was clearly tired after the long day and finding a cab would be very difficult. So she agreed.
Before leaving the hospital, she turned around towards the door of the treatment room. She wanted to check on the little bun but understood that it might be inconvenient for her to do so. Hence, she left reluctantly.

Qin Muran returned home thinking that Qin Yan would also be at home.
Qin Yicheng saw Qin Muran entering but didn't see Qin Yan so he asked, "Where is Yan Yan? Didn't you two leave together?"
Lu Yaran had just walked out of the kitchen when she heard her husband questioning Qin Muran, "Yicheng, what is this behaviour of yours! Atleast let the child enter and take a breath, she has not even changed her shoes and you bombarded her with questions."
Saying this, she strode towards Qin Muran and asked gently, "Darling, how was your gathering? Did you enjoy? Are you full? Or should I prepare some snacks for you?"
"No mom, I am okay," Qin Muran replied with a smile.
"Is sister not back yet?" asked Qin Muran.
Qin Yicheng immediately frowned "Didn't she go with you? Why are you asking this to us?"
"Yes dad, she went with me, but between the meal, she left the room. She was not feeling well so I was concerned about her. I also left the meal beforehand. I searched the hotel washroom but she wasn't there. This made me think that she must have returned home," Qin Muran replied with concern.
A ruthless flash crossed across Qin Muran's eyes, " It is so late at night. Where did sister go? Dad, what should we do? I am worried about her safety."
"Muran, are you sure Yan Yan was not in the hotel? Maybe she mistakenly went to another room?" Although Lu Yaran said worriedly, it could be seen that she was sowing thoughts in Yicheng's mind.
"I didn't check anywhere other than washroom. How could I enter another private room to check? I didn't even alert anybody as I thought sister came here ," Qin Muran said.
"But she hasn't returned. Husband, what should we do?," Lu Yaran asked anxiously.
As he thought of his elder daughter, Qin Yicheng became irritable. She always gave him trouble. Between the two sisters, Muran was always sensible. Qin Yan always would make them look down with shame.
"Let's wait for sometime. If she didn't come back in half an hour, I'll send my assistant to look for her", Qin Yicheng said tiredly.
The three of them sat in the living room waiting for Qin Yan. Lu Yaran prepared some fruits and insisted Qin Muran to nourish herself.
After 10 minutes or so, there was a sound of car outside. As the three of them got up, Qin Yan entered the house.
"Where were you?", asked Qin Yicheng.
Qin Yan looked at her father and replied, "I met a friend on the way so it took me some time to come back."
All three of them were surprised as Qin Yan normally held her head low all the time. This time she replied by looking at Qin Yicheng holding her head high.
Seeing her father silent, Qin Muran asked, "Sister, which friend are you talking about? All of the people you are acquainted with, were in the private room!"
