Makua was a beautiful place filled with greenery. Makua had beautiful mountains and amazing views...
There was a small forest in the outskirts of Makua that nobody dared to go to as it had various wild animals that could end your life.
The bustling streets of Makua were filled with people buying things or chatting
Beside a stall of fresh fruits was a young man in his 20s, He was wearing a coat with a hood on top of his white robes. His shoulder length brown hair tied in a bun as his black eyes scanned the various types of fruits
The man picked up a fresh-looking apple and examined it.
"It looks fresh..." the man whispered silently as he asked the stall owner for the price.
He pays for them and leaves
As he was passing by an alleyway, He was suddenly grabbed by the wrist and slammed into a wall as he drops the bag of apples
"Where do you think you're running of to, Hoshi Nakeya" The man spat as he held Hoshi against the wall
"Why should I tell you?" Hoshi glared at the male as he struggled from the man's tight grip
"Still as cocky as ever" The man stated as he wrapped his hand around Hoshi's neck
"L-let go" Hoshi muttered as he struggled to breath
Hoshi really regretted missing those self-defense lessons when he was young
Hoshi trashed around as he tried to kick the man but was unable to considering the size difference
He gave one last kick at the man's legs and as soon as the man let go of his neck, Hoshi sprinted away from the man. forgetting the bag of apples as his life was more important to save
"Man... just my luck" Hoshi panted as soon as he got onto his horse and rode away
'My poor fruits' Hoshi thought sobbing on the inside as he rode his horse into the forest where his hideout was.
Once Hoshi arrived at his hideout, a butler took his coat away as he entered the wooden house
"Where's Bella?" Hoshi asked a maid named Lian, that was passing by
"Bella is in your room, Master" The maid replied as she bowed then left
Hoshi nodded and went to his room
When Hoshi entered, He saw Bella laying on his bed sleeping...
Bella was a gorgeous black cat with emerald green eyes, she was the only thing left from his late parents.
Hoshi smiled and quietly went to his desk. trying not to disturb the cat's sleep

In a dark room with dimly lit candles and flames coming out of the fireplace...
The room had several swords and skulls hung up on the walls as a figure sat elegantly on a couch in the middle of the room with a glass of expensive champagne.
The man was smiling lightly as his eyes held a mischievous glint in them.
A knock suddenly woke the man up from his thoughts making the man frown
"Come in" The man ordered with his magnetic voice as he saw one of his underlings enter
All his underlings were commanded to wear a mask when out on a mission.
The man entered the room and handed his boss a scroll
The man placed his glass of champagne on the table near him and grabbed the scroll
"Did anyone notice you?" The man asked his underling as he started reading the scroll and nodded in approval
The man wearing a mask shook his head at his question
The man sitting on the couch smirked and took a bag filled with gold coins out of his robes and tossed it to the man wearing a mask
The man took the bag of coins and exited the room leaving his boss alone in the room once again
As the man was about to sigh out of tiredness... he saw the doors burst open as another one of his underlings came running followed by his advisor running close behind him
"BOSS!!" his underling shouted causing him to narrow his eyes at the rude behavior
"What" The man spoke with narrowed eyes
"I- I SAW HIM ALIVE!!" The man said with horror in his eyes
"Who?"
"HOSHI NAKEYA!" Once the man heard the name, he dreaded the most… He looked at his advisor with shock as he spoke
"You said he was dead a long time ago!!" The man said furiously as he stood up
"Boss, I was sure he was dead!! He fell into the waterfall right before my eyes!! It's impossible to survive the fast water!!" The advisor said frantically
"Boss! Will I receive a prize for telling you this information?" The underling spoke as he looked at his boss expectedly with greedy eyes
"A prize… Oh of course" The boss said with fury
He picked up his glass filled with champagne and threw the glass right at his underling's head… killing him right on the spot
"Useless prick" The boss muttered angrily as the advisor went to dispose the dead body
"You better enjoy your days to the fullest… Hoshi Nakeya..." The man spoke with rage…

Back at the house Hoshi was sitting on a chair looking at various documents in his hands.
An hour has passed and the sweet little Bella woke up from her nap
She got up and stretched her stiff limbs, once she was done stretching. she walked over to Hoshi's desk and looked up at him with a face that Hoshi was all too familiar with.
Hoshi picked her up and started scratching behind her ears as Bella purred in content.
Once Hoshi was done scratching Bella's head, she got of his lap and went to roam around the house.
Hoshi smiled as he fondly shook his head and continued to work.
Another hour has passed and Hoshi heard a knock on his door
"Come in" Hoshi spoke loud enough for the person behind the door to hear
A butler opened the door and bowed before he spoke
"Dinner is ready, Master" The butler spoke as Hoshi nodded and got up
"Alright" Hoshi responded and started to walk to the dining table with the butler
As he sat down, A maid began to bring various kind of food
"Did something happen today?" Hoshi asked as he looked at the butler
"Well... There have been some reports about wolves..." The butler responded to Hoshi as he poured him Tea
"Did they cause anything?"
"No but there have been reports of teenagers going missing"
"I see... Are there any specific age of the people that had gone missing?"
"Something around 17 or 18"
"Make a list of the people that were reported missing and ask a few questions from the relatives of those people"
"Yes, Master" The butler spoke as he walked away
Hoshi was left alone with his thoughts once everyone left the room
"Hey, Bella" Hoshi spoke gently as he saw Bella sitting on a chair.

The next day... Hoshi woke up to the sound of glass breaking
"Huh...?" Hoshi sleepily opened his eyes but immediately shot up when he saw that Bella broke another glass vase
"Bella..." Hoshi quietly whined
"You know that uncle Steve will scold me again" Hoshi spoke as he picked Bella up in his arms...
"Meow" Bella purred against his chest as Hoshi glared at the glass shards
"Best way to wake up" Hoshi murmured sarcastically
He put Bella down on his bed as he went to go call a maid to clean this mess up
Bella looked at him like a hawk and got up
She went near another vase and pushed it down to the ground
"BELLA!!" Hoshi shouted in terror as he saw uncle Steve coming his way
Hoshi immediately closed the door behind him as he smiled nervously at the old butler
"Good morning, Uncle Steve" Hoshi spoke trying to smile but it came out as an awkward one.
Uncle Steve raised his eyebrow as he looked at Hoshi suspiciously
"Good morning, Hoshi... Would you kindly move so I can clean your room"
"Uh--- My room is perfectly clean, Uncle Steve"
"Alright" As Hoshi was about to sigh in relief, another crash sound came from his room as Hoshi grimaced and looked at uncle Steve sweating and crying on the inside
"What was that?" Uncle Steve asked as he looked at Hoshi
"Nothing---" Another crash and Hoshi was about to pass out from nervousness
"Move Hoshi" Uncle Steve said sternly but Hoshi remained still in his place
"B-but---"
"Hoshi"
Hoshi slowly moved out of the way as the old butler entered and looked at the mess horrified
The whole room was a mess as Bella was standing on a table looking innocent as ever. Which she totally is not. As shards of glass were all over the floor
"Hoshi..." The butler spoke as a dark aura was coming out of him
"I- I CAN EXPLAIN----"
In the end both Hoshi and Bella got lectured by the old butler.

In the Distance you can see a man cutting wood for the night.
The man paused as he saw a few people on horses going in the direction of the wooden house
He quickly went inside the house to inform the old butler about their uninvited guests...
"Uncle Steve!!" The young man shouted frantically
"What's the matter?" Uncle Steve came in front of the man with curiosity
"People are coming in this direction"
"Quickly inform the master to hide while I deal with them"
"Inform me of what?" Hoshi spoke as he came inside the room
"Master, we believe they found us... you need to quickly hide" Uncle Steve explained as he was about to go outside to deal with them
"But I want to help you! I don't want to hide." Hoshi spoke as he looked at Uncle Steve with hopeful eyes
"No, Now go and hide" The old butler stated firmly as he walked out of the mansion
Hoshi sighed and started to walk towards his room

Outside the house... Uncle Steve can be seen talking with the people
"May I ask why you are coming this way?" The old butler asked as he looked at the four people
"We are travelers and were passing by when we noticed this wooden house and came here in search of water" One of the travelers spoke
"I see..." The old butler motioned for a butler to come closer
"Yes, Uncle Steve" The butler spoke coming to stand beside the old butler
"Bring these gentlemen some water" Uncle Steve spoke as the servant nodded and hurried inside
A few minutes later, the servant came back with bottles filled with water and gave them to the travelers
"Thank you" The traveler spoke as he bowed in gratitude and left with the others
"You can come out now, Master" The old butler spoke as he glanced at Hoshi who nervously came forward from behind a wall holding onto Bella
"What did I tell you a few minutes before, Master?"
"I-I'm sorry, Uncle Steve... BUT I WAS PLANNING ON HIDING WHEN BELLA ESCAPPED THE ROOM" Hoshi quickly explained with tense shoulders
"Just don't do it again" Uncle Steve sighed as he watched Hoshi happily go inside the house, He's lucky that Uncle Steve was too tired to scold him today...
In the woods, Hoshi can be seen aiming his arrow towards a bird

But the bird flew away even before he gets the chance to shoot his arrow.
"SHIT!" Hoshi shouted as he ran towards the direction of the bird.
Hoshi ran for a few minutes before he gave up on catching the bird as he climbed a tree to rest for a bit…
He sat down on a tree branch and closed his eyes for a few minutes before opening them as he heard a bush near the tree moving
Hoshi looked down and saw a deer standing a few meters away from him,
Hoshi quietly took his arrow and crossbow from the back on his shoulder as he aimed the arrow at the deer…
He shot his arrow and smiled as the arrow hit the deer but the smile vanished as soon as it appeared when he saw the deer run away
Hoshi jumped down from the tree and dashed behind the deer, trying to catch it but failed miserably as he was to slow and lost track of the deer…
Hoshi sighed in disappointment and started walking forward when he saw a lake
Hoshi slowly walked into the lake and started to cross it, slightly shivering as the cold water touched his feet.
Once Hoshi was done crossing the river, He started to walk while shivering as the cold feeling still remained on his feet
Hoshi walked for about five minutes but suddenly came to a stop as he saw something in the corner of his eyes…
Hoshi turned his head but immediately regretted it as he saw a man laying injured on the floor.
He ran towards the man to check if he's still alive
He flipped the man on his back and grabbed the man's wrist to check for his pulse…
Hoshi sighed in relief when he saw that the man was alive
He looked around to see if someone else was also here but found no one.
"Strange..." Hoshi muttered but came back to his senses when he realized that the man might need his help right now.
Hoshi went over to the man and lifted the man up in his arms as he started to walk towards his house
"He's so light" Hoshi thought, concerned for the man's health…
Hoshi was determined to keep this man his first priority and to nurse him back to health.

The old butler was furious as he paced around the room…
"I can't believe you would do something so stupid, Hoshi!!" Uncle Steve said as he looked at Hoshi who was looking at the ground feeling guilty
"I- I'm sorry… Uncle Steve" Hoshi spoke with tears glistening in the corner of his eyes
"Hoshi, you know very well that this might be a trap!"
"I- I know! But he looked like he needed help…" Hoshi whispered the last part as he looked at the old butler sadly
"Hoshi" Uncle Steve looked at Hoshi sternly
Hoshi looked down as tears started flowing down his rosy cheeks
"Hoshi… What's the point of crying when the deed has already been done" The old butler hugged Hoshi, trying his best to make him stop crying? To be honest… Uncle Steve wasn't the best at comforting
Hoshi lightly sniffed as he let go of the old butler and rubbed at his eyes with the back of his hand
"I'm not practically happy at the idea of helping a stranger but seeing as your willing to help him… I'll let you be in charge of nursing him back to health" Uncle Steve gently smiled when he looked at Hoshi's eyes that were twinkling with happiness
"THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!" Hoshi happily hugged the old butler and ran out of the room with Bella running behind him
"He's an adult but still acts like a kid" Uncle Steve shook his head with a small barely visible smile as he looked out of the window
"I wonder if your happy with how I raised your son… Yu" The old butler spoke as he looked at the stars sadly

In another room…
Hoshi was paying attention to what Aunty Lian was saying
"I already bandaged his wounds… Although it would take a few days for him to wake up…" Aunty Lian explained as she looked at the male laying unconscious on the bed with sympathy
"Alright… Thank you so much, Aunty Lian" Hoshi smiled gently and hugged the old lady
"No problem, Dear" The old lady patted Hoshi's head gently and exited the room
Hoshi released a sigh and sat on a chair
"Today was quite hectic" Hoshi closed his eyes… letting the darkness slowly overcome his senses

Midnight.
The wounded man can be seen lying in bed, unconscious. His face is clearly shown in the dim light of the candle…
The old butler was sleeping on the couch, snoring loudly causing Hoshi to have trouble sleeping.
"Who told Uncle Steve to sleep here…" Hoshi murmured trying to keep his eyes shut
When suddenly a howl can be heard in the distance
Hoshi suddenly sat up as he heard the howls getting louder and louder each second…
The old butler was also awake by now and was going out the door with his sword
"Uncle Steve, wait" Hoshi whisper-shouted as he ran after the butler
Both of them met up with aunty Lian and Another butler named Rael.
"I believe there are wolves outside" Rael said as he looked seriously at the old butler
"I'll go and check it out, Rael, come with me and Lian, keep the young master safe" Uncle Steve said as all of them except Hoshi nodded
"But I want to go with you to, Uncle Steve" Hoshi spoke with determination
"It's to dangerous for you, Hoshi… Lian, make sure he doesn't escape his room" The old butler ordered as he walked away with Rael
"Aunty Lian! You know I love wolves so- "
"No, I'm sorry, Darling" Aunty Lian said as she dragged Hoshi to his room
Aunty Lian gently pushed Hoshi inside his room and locked the door.
"AUNTY PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR!!!" Hoshi started banging on the door but his efforts were proven useless…
"Not fair…" Hoshi pouted as he sat on his bed
He looked around his room and suddenly a precious memory came to him

"Mama, I'll be back! I promise!!" a young boy at the tender age of 10 shouted to his mother and ran towards the forest
"Be careful, Reito!!" His mother's shout could be barely heard as he ran far from the mansion
His short hair was gracefully swaying with the wind as he ran… His eyes twinkled every time he saw something interesting
Hoshi hid behind a tree when he saw a deer peacefully munching on grass
"perfect" Hoshi mumbled and was about to shoot with his arrow when he suddenly heard a little barely noticeable whimper
"Huh?" The young boy muttered as he started to look around the place
He heard the whimper again but now more clearly… indicating that something or someone was hurt behind a certain bush he was standing nearby…
The boy quickly looked behind the bush and gasped
There was a grey wolf pup stuck on a net as it tried to struggle to free itself resulting in it getting more hurt
Hoshi quickly went near the pup and started to examine the it
The young boy cut the net with a small dagger he kept with himself for safety purposes
As Hoshi released the pup from the net, he started petting the pup as a way to comfort it
"It's okay, mister puppy" The boy smiled as the pup let the young kid pet him
"My name is Hoshi! What is your name?" Hoshi asked eagerly
The pup just blankly stared at the kid, clearly indicating that it cannot talk
"Oh… puppies cannot talk…" Hoshi said sadly but suddenly perked up at something
"How about I give you a name?" Hoshi eagerly said as his eyes twinkled at the idea
Not even waiting for a sign that the pup liked the idea, the excited Hoshi started thinking of a name
"Hmm…. How about… Reito! Hoshi means star and Reito means moon! So, we will be the moon and star" Hoshi giggled as he suggested the nickname his mama always calls him
The pup did not show any signs but when Hoshi started to get sad thinking the pup does not like the name… the pup suddenly stood up and nudged his snout against Hoshi's hand making Hoshi giggle

Hoshi smiled at the memory… Guess he has to suck it up and forget Reito considering they won't ever meet again
He looked out the window to see the moon shining brightly in the dark sky…
"Please be safe, Reito…" Hoshi smiled at the moon and went back to rest for the night.

The next day.
There were gentle knocks on the door…
Hoshi fluttered his eyes open and blinked for a couple of seconds to adjust to the sunlight.
He sat up and looked at Bella who was sleeping beside him
Hoshi slowly petted Bella's head and got up to open the door
"Rael… is everything alright...?" Hoshi questioned once he opened the door to see the young butler standing there silently
"Yes, why would there be anything wrong…?" Rael asked with a tilt to his head
"Well…" how can I say this without offending him…
"You don't usually come to wake me up"
"Oh… well that is because Uncle Steve was to busy questioning the man that just woke up…" The male stated as Hoshi's eyes went wide
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!" Hoshi slammed the door on his face as Rael narrowed his eyes at the door
"That is truly why I do not come to wake him up…" Rael added as he continued to walk but suddenly stopped as he glared at a window
"Who is it?" Rael commented sharply, walking towards the window
"Hey!!" The male popped up hanging upside down with a lop-sided grin as Rael shrieked in terror
"TRIS YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!!" Rael shouted to the ginger as Tris just grinned while entering through the window
"Sorry, Rae" The ginger said with no trace of sincerity in his voice
"Whatever… why are you even here?"
"I wanted to visit my best friend" Tris grinned mischievously but his grin dropped after he heard Rae's words
"Master is currently busy, come another time" Rae said as he looked at Tris with the worst resting bitch face
"WHO SAID I CAME FOR HOSHI!! I mean Hoshi is my friend too but you are my best buddy, Rae" Tris whined as Rael simply rolled his eyes in annoyance

In Hoshi's room
Bella was currently awake and watching her owner like a hawk as Hoshi ran all over the place… he fucking slipped 3 times already
Hoshi was currently having a crisis in his mind, thinking that he's going to be late for whatever reason… Hoshi does not know…
Once Hoshi was properly dressed, he went out of his room in a slow pace
Hoshi turned towards a corner and saw Tris annoying Rael once again and tried his best to stifle his laughter
Hoshi quickly ran away from that area, not wanting to be seen by Tris considering Tris will just annoy him to death
As he reached a certain guest room… He took a deep breath before entering
Once he entered, He saw Uncle Steve talking to the man that was once unconscious before
The man had long black waist length hair, pretty golden phoenix-like eyes, thin pinkish lips and tan skin accompanied by a lot of bandages due to his wounds.
The old butler noticed his presence and motioned for him to come closer
Once Hoshi came near them, he smiled gently at the man and turned to Uncle Steve
"Did he tell you anything?" Hoshi spoke with curiosity
"Unfortunately, no…"
"I see…" Hoshi looked at the man and then looked at the tray filled with breakfast on the bedside table
Hoshi took out a clean handkerchief out of his pocket, picked up a piece of chicken with it and held it in front of the male
"Here" Hoshi smiled gently as the male looked at the chicken
The male gulped as he looked away, trying to avoid looking at the food
Hoshi put the chicken back, picked the tray up and put it in front of the male
"Go on" Hoshi encouraged the man, the man looked at the tray hesitantly but due to his hunger, he could not resist any longer and started eating it
Hoshi smiled cheerfully as the old butler looked at him with shock considering he has been trying hard to make the man eat but failed.
A few minutes later, the butler has left to resume his duties
Hoshi finally spoke up breaking the calm atmosphere…
"So… what's your name?"
The man stopped his movements and looked at Hoshi
He opened his mouth to answer…
"… Reito…"
