"Hello flame princess"
"Dad!" she chuckled.
"Stop calling me that" she rolled her eyes playfully at him and hugged him. He laughed that hearty laugh that vibrated his chest and spread warmth through her too.
"How dare you roll your eyes at the Alpha young lady!"
She pouted and nudged her elbow into his stomach.
"Just like your mother."
She winked at him and moved towards the spread of fresh fruits arranged around the outer circle of the hearth fire. Her fingers crawled from one fruit to another in search of the juiciest one she wanted to sink her teeth into.
"Aha! May the moon goddess bless the hunter that chose not to eat this marvelous beauty right away!" she cooed at the mango, her fingers wrapped around-only to be slapped away by her mother.
"Maria!" she whined.
"Mumma for you little Ari." she smiled at her daughter, her hand resting on the little bump that had begun to show at the Lunas belly. Smirking, she raised her brows at her mother.
