Tanya's POV
Her mouth gaped in shock and her eyes widened the same second a form shot through the rose bush and stopped. His body was clad in only blue slacks and if I was human I would have wondered why a boy was running around on a snowy night bare-chested.
He breathed fast, his heart beating at an unsafe speed in his chest as his vision scanned the perimeter and landed on me. Nothing could have hidden his surprise as I understood he didn't expect what he heard in his mind to be true.
"Nelly?" He called in a question and relief as his eyes strayed to spot his sister beside me whose orbs were still glassy from her tears. "Oh thank the supreme being."
A sad smile broke out on my lips as Nelly shot up from her seat to run and throw her weight at her brother who welcomed her in an embrace.
I could see dampness on his cheeks as he buried his face in her shoulder and hugged her tight as if she was to disappear the next second. "You are okay."
