Chapter 25 - Unusual Enemy!

...what's more, they had what appeared to be commanders amongst their ranks.

The weather was bad and adding to the fact that the wind was constantly in his face, Adria could not see perfectly those commanders giving out the orders. However, he could see a bit of their silhouette. They looked even smaller than he expected. However, his investigation was interrupted by the angry growl of the four hefty vampires that had appeared before him.

He whistled loudly, "Oh, My God! I must be really lucky today. Four dance partners for the pleasure of my attention." Adria hit his fists together.

*Grrhhh!!!*

One of the dance partners growled as it made its way toward Adria. Its heavy right hand came down in a punch towards Adria's head. However Adria turned as he used his right hand to elope under the hand pit of the beast and with his quick footwork and inhumane strength, he threw the beast away.

This was where aero-dynamics played its role. The plane was still in motion. This meant that the wind did the remaining job for him once he threw the beast over. However, he was not done with his assault. He ran for the next beast and a few punches were exchanged that led to Adria being knocked back. He was knocked so far back that he almost fell over the plane.

The fingers of his right hand dug into the body of the plane as the rest of his body lagged in the air. Adria added a little force and he pulled himself over. he used his other hand and also dug into the body of the craft. With gravity, the wind being his enemies, climbing back up was not exactly easy, but he strived one hand at a time, and he climbed.

Meanwhile, the vampires saw this as an opportunity to try and break into the plane from the top.

They carved out a hole revealing the soldiers that were securely fastened to their seats. One of the soldiers pointed his pistol at the face of the Vampire trying to get in and pulled the trigger. His aim was true, however, regardless of how many bullets reached the vampire, it was no use. The bullets did nothing to it. Although it wounded the vampire here and there with one even making it to the vampire's forehead. That was the end of it. The wounds healed before the eyes of the soldiers. This was a terrible eye-opener that killed their morale.

The vampire smiled at them, revealing its uneven rows of shark-like teeth.

Fear was plastered on the faces of the soldiers. One of them even visibly swallowed as the crotch area of his pants became wet, the vampire was about to make its way into the craft when its head suddenly adopted the shape of a busted watermelon after the unfriendly hit of a hammer. Blood splashed on the faces of the soldiers as Adria's fist appeared where its proud jaw formally was.

Adria pulled the vampire away from the hole. He looked into the aircraft, "hello!!!" he waved at them with the bloody hand that had just made a mess of the vampire's face.

The soldier that had peed his pants sub-consciously waved back. Just then, the growl of a vampire behind him interrupted his greeting.

"Please excuse me, boys!" Adria saluted at them as he stood to his feet.

He slammed his fists together, "yeah! where were we? Oh, I remember! Our dance. Sorry, I was too busy trying not to fall."

All the soldiers inside heard was growl upon growl and then after the crying shriek of a beast in pain, it was no more. They waited for a while, however, there was no sound. Out of curiosity, the soldier that had shot the vampire earlier on wanted to check what was happening outside, however, his colleagues stopped him.

After a bit of persuasion that he was only checking what was happening outside, he peeped out slightly as some of the others held to his legs in other to make sure he was not taken out of the plane by the wind.

What his eyes saw astound him.

Adria punched hard at the knee of the vampire, breaking it like a twig. The beast tried to scream, however, Adria had already shut it up with his fingers stabbing into the head of the creature from under its jaw. His fingers passed through all the way to the beast's brain. Like a hot knife through butter.

He lifted it with his fingers still embedded in its skull. Walking to the edge of the plane, he pulled his fingers out letting the dead thing fall thousands of feet to the ground.

He waved his hand splashing the still dripping blood to the side. Some of it splashed on the face of the soldier peeping and he mistakenly swallowed some.

The flying vampires were no longer attacking. In fact, they were now staying away. Adria took a deep breath in and out. The only thing on his mind at the moment was to have a smoke. Instinctively, he wanted to reach his hand in his jacket and then he remembered that he had given Holland to hold it for him.

He could still see the other plane not so far away in the distance. However, he was now lacking the means to get back there. As his eyes searched around him for the unlucky vehicle that would be his transportation back, he turned, and then he saw something. Or rather, he saw someone.

This person had a black mask to cover the face. Aside from the eyes, that stared directly at him, every other part was well covered. The person's eyes were a deep red, just like the eyes of a vampire.

There were a lot of things wrong with this. For one, this person was covered entirely with clothes and even had on shoes. But it was obvious that it was not a Darkling.

Also, Adria had never for one time seen a vampire with clothes. Next, this person was missing the usual growling and aggressiveness that was associated with vampires.

And then came the straw that broke the camel's back. The person made the stance for a fight and then came the motion of the fingers for Adria to attack...
