Chapter 16 - Demons

High Tarxan Nation, Near A Tarxan Port, Near Portville, On The Ocean Of The Country Of High Tarxan.

First Year Of God, First Day, First Five Days, First Month.

Many creatures were coming out of the massive storm, as shadows lurks beneath the oceans.

"H-Hm?" The Elven queen said.

Upon seeing the massive amount of flying creatures. The Elven queen brought out her monocular and looked through it.

"T-This can't be." The Elven queen said.

Thinking about the various things that should be done right now. The queen immediately ordered to prepare the magi-cannons.

"Prepare the magi-cannons!" The Elven Queen said.

"Prepare the magi-cannons!" The Elven sailors repeated.

"Arm the magi-anti-air flaks!" The Elven queen said.

"Arm the anti-air!" The Elven sailors repeated.

The bell at the top of the ship of the Elven queen was tolling. Soon enough, the Elven sailors were moving back and forth on their ironclads. They were preparing various weaponry to shoot down the flying creatures. However, when the creatures got closer and closer. The Elven Sailors were utterly shocked and stood in fear as they watched the flying creatures.

"I-It's the demons!" An Elven sailor said.

"We can't take down those things! The queen has brought about a tragedy for us! Those are the minions of the demon lord!" Another Elven sailor said.

"Abandon the queen! We will only lose our lives here! To hell with the queen!" An Elven officer said.

Soon after, many fleets were backing out of the battle, making the number of ironclads to dwindle even more.

"Tsk! Those cowards." The queen uttered.

Acheron, meanwhile, was smirking all the time. This was the perfect opportunity to depose of his sister. However, for the meantime, he must escape since the sailors were abandoning his sister. Which means this battle will be a lost cause. So he silently bid farewell to his sister and went off his way.

Melian noticed this, however she didn't respond to it. Because she believes it is better off that her brother isn't here. After all, her brother gives off that feeling who is always scheming something and is being a creep.

On the way out of the ironclad of his sister, Acheron whispered something to the sailors onboard. It was too soft that they cannot hear it. Even within a meter it still cannot be heard, which means magic may have been used.

Below the ship, a magic circle appeared, and a timer started counting down.

Acheron then ordered his Elven sailors to board the small magi-boat and ordered for them to flee. At the far side of the ocean, the boat stopped and was taken in by the various ironclads that were stationed.

"Preparations are ready for you ascension, your majesty!" An Elven commander said.

"Perfect! Now we just wait for the timer to stop. Good thing the Elven priest noticed the anomaly on the order from the gods." Acheron said.

"Indeed, your majesty, you're our one and true monarch! Hail His Majesty, the King of all Tarxa!" The Elven commander said.

"Hail! Hail! Hail!" The sailors from each part of the fleets were simultaneously praising Acheron.

Panning back to the sidelines of Melian. There were some ships who stayed on the course with Her Majesty The Queen. All of them were allies of her father. They stayed because they believed in Melian that she would bring about the reforms her father wanted. So if she will die, they will die with her as when they return home without her. They'll be considered as traitors by the usurper.

Many shots were being fired from each of the ironclads. Thunderous cannon fire was being shot while deafening fire was coming from the flak anti air. Many sailors were running back and forth in manning and reloading their armaments. While smoke and powder fill the surroundings.

Death lingers everywhere as the casualties climbs. To add salt to the wounded but fierce fleet of Melian. The shadows that were lurking beneath the ocean have brought about another disaster. The same creature that has small limbs but has a striking moustache that have a body of a snake has now shown themselves.

One by one, each of the sea monsters has risen from the ocean. They actually rose from under the ship, and one of those ships was the ship of Melian. The ironclads of Melian and others were then flipped upside down. To which the sailors and Melian fell into the ocean.

The tidal waves of the oceans swept through the Elven sailors, which made most of them sink into the depths of the seas, effectively drowning. However, Melian was rescued by one of the remaining ironclads that were left standing.

Melian looked over at the ocean after climbing atop the ironclad. She closed her eyes and made a hard decision. However, just as when she was about to order her orders, a large metal ship came out of the storm and started releasing projectiles into the air. Shortly after the projectiles were launched, a humongous of what seemed like a magi-cannon started turning towards the sea monsters and started firing in a quick burst.

Melian looked at the projectiles. They seemed like fireworks. Just as when the projectiles were about to hit a flying demon. The demon itself dodged the projectile. This made Melian and the sailors shudder in fear as the projectile were moving directly at them. However, that was all lost and was replaced by shocked when the projectile pivoted itself towards the flying demon. When the projectile hit the flying demon, a deafening explosion rang out through the surroundings.

She then looked over the sea monsters and found that all of them were dead floating in the ocean. All of them were scarred because of the explosion that happened after the magi-cannon hit them.

Within a single instant, most of the demons were wiped out and the other remaining demons had fled the battlefield. Melian and her sailors shuddered in fear as the large metal ship started moving near them. By the time the ship have arrived near them, they had already now rescued all of their Eleven sailors. On the top of the board of the metal ship, a bright light suddenly opened. The brightness of the light was unparalleled compared to the brightness of the light they have in this world. Then suddenly this light flickers as if it's telling them something.
