"Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"
The woman showed a worried look as she moved her hand to touch Thomas. But he avoided it and looked at Simon in disbelief.
'What is going on?'
He strongly believed he was dead and had arrived somewhere else. Simon was also there. However, the place didn't really change. It was that same nearby river but with no background of any monster. The night sounded very peaceful.
But he felt it was not real. He couldn't trust it. He was dead. That's what his inner mind kept saying.
However, things were not as he thought. But not the complete opposite too. Actually, both he and Simon died but just woke up again.
Thomas had no wounds. But he still felt like he had a huge hole in his chest. There were no traces of blood. And it was totally as if something like that never happened.
If it was a dream, he wouldn't have felt pain, would he?
He was lost in his thoughts. He couldn't figure out what was real and what was not.
