Chapter 30 - Revolution

"Wow, what's happening here?" Marnia appeared behind him while holding bags in her hands of clothing that she had brought.

When she had got there, all she saw was the entire street of people all knocked down to the ground.

"Nothing much, I guess it is time to go," Leo says to her while taking her by the arm. After he had taken away the life of the fat ass merchant, the marines on the island immediately recognized who he was and started parading behind him with guns.

He didn't know what else to do besides knocking them out with his Haki or risk injuring those idiots with his blade. He is not a reckless killer of innocent civilians or causing a scene where he might injure them accidentally.

Even now, he still doesn't know who that merchant was or why he is called 'commander' by the marines who were guarding him.

"Could it be that you injured a celestial dragon?" Marnia asked while resting her chin on the window while staring out into the wide open sea.

"Nah, I don't think that's it. I mean, that guy wasn't wearing an oxygen glass on his face," Leo says while resting on the couch.

Inside, he is already cursing himself for having the conscience of getting in the way again out of pity for the children. But he knows he wouldn't be able to live with himself otherwise if he doesn't do something.

He steps out of the door when he noticed there were many marine ships that were cornering them from all directions in the back. Their cannonballs were flying fast through the air, aiming towards their little boat. While some of them drop to the floor of the ocean and causing the sea to be shaking with an uproar.

"Looks like we got to move the ship in some other directions," Leo says to himself. While in his hands, there forms a swirling vortex of air like a mini tornado.

Lifting that swirling mass of air that is swimming in his hand towards the direction in front of him causes all the cannonballs to miss their flight. By the time the swirling mass of air hits the ocean water, it forms with quick speed what seems to be like a whirlpool that prevents the ships from coming his direction.

"Man, next time I have to be more careful when I get myself into these kinds of mess," Leo says to himself. He puts his hand under the water and starts creating a propulsion force to launch their ship ahead of the sight of these marines.

Upon the marine ships, a man wearing a marine coat looks from his hand held telescope upon the now distant boat.

"Captain, it seems like we had lost sight of their ship. But we can confirm that it is the pirate hunter Leo who we had suspected was part of the mass sinking of pirate boats previously," his man noted to him. Handing to him a picture of Leo and the bounty that is currently on his head.

"What a dangerous devil fruit ability," the captain remarked with a smirk on his face. "But this time, it seems we have something to report to the superiors to explain this mess."

"It's a good thing because thanks to him, we now have our ass cleaned of that annoying merchant from our island," another man by his side remarked. "We have been owning that guy some debts under the table, and this is better than dirtying our own hands to clean him up."

Unbeknownst to Leo right now, his name became heard throughout the seas again. This time it is for having himself stringed into trouble that he didn't want to become a part of. Pretty soon, even the admirals will hunt down for his tail.

...

"Leo? Are you sleeping?" Marnia asked, while eating a skewered meat with happiness. Her face speaks her unconcern of the future. Such a happy-go-lucky person makes Leo wonder to himself, how did she even survive till now in this evil age of pirates?

Leo was leaning against the wall of the ship while feeling the night wind blowing gently across his face. He watches the crescent moon that hangs itself open upon the sky above him. Something has been on his mind lately, especially tonight.

"I thought you were asleep," Marnia said, coming to sit next to him. "Here, I've made some for you too." She hands him some skewered meat while eating the meat with her mouth full of oil. Seeing her eat like that made Leo smile a little. "What are you thinking about, anyway?"

"Not much, just thinking about what to do next," he says to her while looking up at the sky. "Anyway, maybe time is not enough ever to do everything."

"Then why don't you be more like me," she says, pointing to herself, "my goal is to try out all that there is to eat in the world. Maybe you can help me out? I wouldn't mind sharing some food with you, since you're so nice to me."

Leo grins to himself while giving her a weird look, saying, "That sounds like a good idea. Perhaps I should let you meet my brothers one day. They would be glad to have you on their boat."

"Nope, I'm not going," she says to him. "I want to stick here with you till death do us part."

"What the hell? We are not acting in a script here," he pushes her away and stands up from the floor of the ship. "I'm going back to training. Don't bother me."

"Do you ever not train for a day?" She gives a sigh before continuing to eat under the light of the moon. "What a freak."

She just sits there in the corner as she faces him, seeing him training at the front of the ship. His eyes concentrating on the blade, and you can see the moonlight reflecting off.
