"And the last form of Haki is the Conquer's Haki," Leo says and looks up at the large birds in the sky. "Only one in a few million people are born with this ability. It allows the user to overwhelm the opponents simply by exerting their will. It is said that whoever possesses this type of Haki has the qualities of a King."
'So that is what Shanks was using? The ability possessed by only one in a few million people?' Luffy thought to himself. He was looking up at the sky in the direction where Leo was directing his attention.
"It is also really useful for catching food. Let me give you three a light try of this power," Leo added. Then, from his body, a huge presence began to exert amongst the three of them. It was like the gravity in the air shifted, and a huge mountain was on their shoulders. Slowly they couldn't stand it anymore and were hunching down.
When Leo lifted away that Haki, all the birds fell to the ground, and he licked his lips in hunger, "Looks like food is here. Let's get some stuff cooked."
They created a small fire to roast the birds that fell from the sky. Luffy is licking his lips as he burns the birds. Ace and Sabo were responsible for getting the feathers of the birds off. At the same time, Leo added some spice to the birds Luffy was churning on top of the fire.
'I love being with Leo, and I must make sure he comes on board my ship. If I have him with me, I will never run out of food,' Luffy thought to himself as he eyed Leo, who was sprinkling some garlic and pepper powder.
Leo sensed that Luffy was looking over at him weirdly and asked, "What's going on, Luffy? Are you hungry already?" Leo hands him a fried bird that he just finished adding some spices to Luffy, who seems to be smiling at him all of a sudden. But, of course, he doesn't know what is going on in that kid's mind.
"It looks so good. I'm going to dig in," Luffy says as he takes a large bite of the meat.
"Hey Luffy, that's not fair. You can't just be ahead of us here," both Sabo and Ace complained as they eyed Luffy with anger while their stomach gurgled from hunger.
"Haha," Leo laughed, seeing how the brothers were competing to eat the meat. They were pulling on Luffy's cheeks while Luffy continued to eat.
Once they finished eating the food, Leo sat up from the ground and took out three bells from his pocket. It produced a cling sound as it bounced off each other when he held it in his fingers.
Finishing eating the bones and all, Luffy stood up, stretching his arms into the sky, "I'm ready to do this!!"
Ace and Sabo put their hands on Luffy's shoulders and smiled confidently, "We will have your back, Luffy."
"The task is to take these three bells from my body," Leo says to them, putting them attached to his shorts on the right side. "When you can finally snatch these bells from me, you three are ready to train Haki."
"Really?! Do you mean it?" Luffy asked in excitement as he was anxious to learn how to perform those incredible movies that Leo just showed him.
"Now you're talking," Ace says as he gives a grin, putting his fist out in a fighting stance.
"Definitely," Leo says to them with a light smile. "Before I leave this land, I will ensure that I pass onto you three the secrets of Haki. But you three will need more than strength to win me. You guys will also need teamwork. You three ready?"
"Enough said!" Luffy crunches his fist to his palm as he knuckles, making a breaking sound and running his fist towards the direction of Leo.
"Let's do this," Sabo also joined in with Luffy.
The three trained until the late evening.
They didn't even come close to snatching the bells for the entire day. It was evading them the whole time. But Leo was still able to see improvements in their fighting experiences.
The three of them are insane fighting prodigies. They could stand back up from every defeat and be even better than the last time.
It was simply like the three of them didn't have any bottlenecks. Usually, people who grow in spurts encounter walls to their growth. But the three of them didn't seem to have that. They would keep on improving, and he could already see improvement in one day.
The three were like little monsters and fighting prodigies.
He noticed how Luffy threw a punch at him every time, and it was getting heavier than before. He seemed to learn how to make his punches more precise and controlled.
Sabo and Ace also learned to target more of his blind spots whenever Luffy is distracting him. Ace and Sabo would attack him in areas that made him need to rely more on his Observation Haki.
In the evening, just as the sun set on the horizon, Leo smiled as he watched the three on the grass. They soaked their clothes and hair from fighting for the whole day.
But he had also made some improvements in his stats from fighting the three of them:
Name: Leo
Age: 10
Observation Haki: Level 5 (80/100)
Armament Haki: Level 5 (66/100)
Conqueror's Haki: Level 5 (25/100)
Physical Power: Level 5 (2/100)
Sword Ability: Level 5 (50/100)
It isn't by a lot than before, but he noticed that fighting with opponents seems to be quite helpful for improving the points.
But it is getting harder trying to improve the experience points even by a single dot, and he realized that training alone wasn't helping enough anymore.
It helped train his Physical Power, but not so much for the other skills. He believes that he can only get stronger through more experience undergoing battles against enemies.
