"Are you . . . are you okay?" Yang Meng had to ask as he could not believe stubborn YanJun was forced to get married to someone he did not love.
"Yes, I am," YanJun replied with a serious nod.
"Are you sure?" Yang Meng asked in disbelief.
YanJun saw no need to persuade the young man although he knew the man was worried about him so he replied firmly, "I am fine, what could go wrong?" He shrugged and continued eating his meal.
"A lot of things. How could they make you live the rest of your life with someone you don't love?" Yang Meng asked in confusion. "I thought they knew your girlfriend."
"They knew her but they did what they could in the situation they were in," YanJun replied as he could not think of anything else to tell the man without diving a little too deep into the details he did not want them to know.
