He had a lot of questions on his mind that he wished to be answered but he could not ask his mother as he did not want to make their relationship any more awkward than it already was.
Since his plan to persuade Lu Mingyu to not attend the party fell through, he was busy mentally preparing himself for what he might face at the party that he did not have time to speak to Lu Mingyu about letting Jason go with him.
He was also busy at work as well as his studies so he even began contemplating dropping out of college since he was too occupied to attend some lectures and do some of his assignments as their planned deadline was getting closer so fast that it did not grant him enough time to prepare.
It also took him a while to allot time for his mother's party. It was mandatory to attend as he wanted to celebrate with his family hoping it easing his relationship with them.
