"Let her in but make sure YanJun approves first," he replied. "If he doesn't, you can send her away," he added before hanging up.
YanJun received a call informing him that his mother came to visit him and he immediately called her.
"I came to visit you since you have been too busy to come to see me," she told him as soon as he picked up the call without waiting for him to ask her.
"I don't think the master of the house will be happy to receive you into his home without telling him beforehand."
"Why won't he? I am your mother," Mrs. Wen reminded him immediately of what he was to the master of the house without saying it directly.
"This is his home," YanJun also reminded her. "It is still not right to show up like this."
"I will leave if you want me to," she told him immediately.
He heard the subtle sadness in her voice that made him reach to massage his forehead tiredly. He swallowed and he was reminded of what that man did to him.
