He knew he will get hurt if the woman succeeds to take Jason away with her and there was nothing he could do about that that was what hurt him the most as he walked back to his room.
It was not enough for him to accept that fact and he could not help but wish Lu Mingyu had kept it secret from him. He would have felt betrayed if he had to find out himself but it was not any easier hearing the man tell him so bluntly and easily.
He remembered that had once told him he did not need to worry about the boy's mother as she was not part of his life but the man was just lying to make him feel better. That felt better then but now that the woman was back in their life, she could not help but feel threatened.
Even in that moment of threat, he could not help but remember how he felt when he got those memories back. If the boy's mother was a surrogate mother like he chose to believe at first, it would have saved him all the troubles.
