A couple of other wyverns challenged Zane which he promptly shot out of the sky. As he did this his confidence in himself grew stronger.
When he landed on the ground he looked at Elaine.
"What happened to those hunters chasing me when I arrived?"
"They were shot out of the sky and hunted to death."
Zane clicked his dragon tongue "I see, do they have an organization behind them?"
Elaine nodded as her expression turned grave "The dragon hunter association, it's a large organization spanning across the 9 islands. They don't go after groups of dragons but if a dragon, wyvern, etc, is found to be wandering alone they will send a party out."
"9 islands?" Zane asked.
"This world has 9 islands and 5 continents. We are on the 3rd island." Zeldris briefly explained chiming in for his mother.
"Are these islands ranked on the strength of their inhabitants?" Zane asked.
Zeldris nodded.
"If there is an organization dedicated to hunting beings with dragon blood, why haven't dragons, wyverns, drakes, and so on worked together to destroy it?" Zane asked.
Elaine chimed in.
"I presume you know the 36 warriors, 24 champions, and 12 heroes?" She asked and Zane nodded.
"The dragon hunter association has the backing of 2 of the 36 warriors… Although they don't mind us destroying a few outposts or even wiping out the dragon hunter's presence on 1 island. Any more than that and they would personally act. Do you think that we can resist 2 of the 32 warriors?" She asked.
Zane frowned. Alina had taken the time to explain the necessary realms of cultivation in this world to Zane.
the realms are as follows: Mortal realms, Martial Realms, Profound Realms, Earth Realms, Sky Realms, Heavenly Realms, Divine Realms, Saint Realms, Lord Realms, King Realms, Exalt Realms, Monarch Realms, Emperor Realms, Sovereign Realms, Overlord Realms, and then you finally get into the 3 top existences in this world.
The warrior realms, champion realms, and hero realms.
"Are there really only 32 warriors, 24 champions, and 12 heroes?" Zane asked.
Elaine shook her head.
"No, but they are the largest force in this world even though they don't occupy a space in this specific world. In short, while a decent amount of independent warriors exist, a few independent champions, and less than a handful of heroes exist… They are just that, independent. They aren't united like the 32 warriors, 24 champions, and 12 heroes. Besides the transcendent 68 in short, come from a world with much denser energy so their foundations are much more solid. This is barely scratching the surface of it though…" She explained lengthily.
Zane frowned, he could feel the despair in her voice.
'If what she says is true they are part of a much larger organization from a larger world.' Zane thought gravely.
He shook aside his thoughts "So in short, it's not that they don't want to, but they don't dare to?"
Elaine nodded sighing.
"The losses would be immeasurable if such a war broke out."
"Anyways, we should begin leaving, there are 4 hours until the spiritual wolves begin to leave their den."
Zane nodded, and with one powerful flap of his wings, he shot half a mile into the air.
*BOOM!* He broke the sound barrier with just a casual flap of his wings making the youths realize he was just toying with them earlier, he wasn't even trying to fight them.
'I didn't believe saint dragons were this powerful…' The noble dragon girl who challenged Zane thought to herself in a daze.
"Let's go! The last one to the hunting ground is a runt!" He shouted, he was excited.
Instantly several wyverns shot into the air.
With a roar from Zane, they shot forward.
Several booms were heard in the sky as all the wyverns instantly surpassed the sound barrier. Zane didn't fly forward though causing Elaine to slow down.
[What is it?] She asked over telepathy.
[Giving them a head start, plus I don't think 3rd sister would miss out on such a momentous event.]
Elaine nodded and shot forward.
Sure enough, a roar shot to the sky from a courtyard around the royal palace as Amelia shot upward before shooting forward.
*BOOM!*
*BOOM!*
*BOOM!*
She instantly broke Mach 3, Zane smiled.
He waited 2 more seconds before…
*BOOOM!* He instantly crossed Mach 7 tearing apart the sky as a deafening bang rang out.
Very quickly he caught up with them and shot past them.
[Is that 2nd prince?!?] The noble wyvern girl from before asked in shock.
[Yep…] Elaine said wryly.
They all sped up crossing Mach 5, then 6, then 7.
Elaine, Zeldris, Anne, Alice. And Amelia managed to cross Mach 8 and begin closing the gap between them and Zane.
Zane just smirked.
His figure transformed as his wings became more streamlined, this was an alternate way of using universal transformation that he devised to increase his speed.
Instantly with a single flap, he crossed Mach 9.
*BOOM!*
Elaine refused to lose, she was the hell shock wyvern queen after all.
Thus crimson lightning bolts began arcing around her body as her eyeballs started glowing a blood red.
*BOOM!*
She shot forward.
The 3 sisters followed suit, as for Zeldris he just laughed dryly.
It turned into a race that Elaine won, she was a 1st heavenly realm after all. She won with a 500-mile lead since she crossed Mach 20 which even Zane was helpless against. He was already heaven-defying enough to be able to surpass the 10th sound barrier.
He slowed down and looked down below, there was no one there.
"Shouldn't there be more people?" Zane asked Elaine.
Elaine shook her head "This hunting ground belongs solely to the hell shock wyverns, besides other spiritual type clans will appear as well."
Zane nodded.
They landed on the ground, as soon as Zane landed Aurora dive-bombed from the sky, it was her favorite thing to do.
She stopped right in front of him with a childish smile.
She tapped his demi-human form nose with her claw cheekily before running off.
"Seems she wants to play tag." Zane smiled and shot off after her, they stayed at sub-sonic speeds as they played. Zane had nothing better to do since he was waiting for the gate to the spiritual wolf world to open. Laughter rang out as Zane, Aurora, Anne, and Alice played tag, etc. Sure it was childish, but it was fun at the moment.
Alas, all things come to an end.
"AWOOOOOOOO!" A piercing wolf howl shot to the sky as a gate the size of a small mountain began rising out of the ground making it feel like there was an earthquake.
This scared Aurora as she rushed to Zane instinctively and hid behind him.
When Zane saw Aurora was actually shivering and on the verge of tears, it made his blood begin to boil in anger.
"Shut it you stupid wolf." Zane said coldly as a horrifying dragon's aura burst out. The sheer killing intent behind that aura made even Elaine's heart palpitate.
A ball of lightning and fire gathered on the palm of his hand which he had at his side facing outward.
Instantly that ball expanded to the size of a basketball before it shot out of Zane's palm into the gate at a blinding speed.
*BOOOOOOM!*
Miserable and agonizing wolf cries were heard from the partially opened gate for a few minutes.
Most of the wolves behind the gate were at the mortal order, so it stood to reason they would die from his thunder flames.
Finally when the gate fully opened the carnage was revealed.
"WHY!?!" A voice howled.
"We had an agreement! No attacking within the first 5 minutes!" The wolf in his human form cried.
"You're the ones who were too noisy scaring Aurora." Zane coldly said.
The wolf growled, this was the spirit wolf alpha of this pack.
He was a 1st sky realm.
He shot forward intending to take Zane's life in rage, but before he could even cross half the distance a horrifying aura crashed down on him pinning him to the ground.
"Zane may have broken the rules, but you're the ones who released your aura from the get-go scaring the child behind him." Elaine coldly spoke.
"In case you don't remember, an aura is indeed a form of attack since at its core it is placing mental pressure on those around you." She snorted.
She then kicked the wolf alpha away.
"That means you broke the rules first!" She finished.
She wound her fist back seeing the wolf alpha getting up, 2 ferocious Chinese-style coiling dragons surrounded her fist, one was violet the other was crimson.
The wolf alpha followed suit, and a howling wolf head made of blue energy was formed, when it opened its maw energy gathered and shot off a beam.
However, its target wasn't Elaine but the shivering Aurora instead!
Just before it hit her, Zane managed to step in front.
*BOOM!*
The attack exploded upon impact sending him flying 30 meters back.
He managed to land on his feet skidding back 5 more meters and digging 2 trenches in the ground with his feet, however, the wolf king fired another shot at aurora.
Just as he was about to activate one of the system's secret skills that Alina had told him about, a domain made its presence known and the attack was frozen in midair.
A domain! Something only divine realm spiritualists can create!
A cold snort was heard from above "Daring to harm a little girl? You will have to get through me first."
Instantly the alpha was turned to shreds as his 10 spirits were converted to spiritual essence which entered Aurora's body strengthening her 7 spirits drastically.
The wyvern king wouldn't let Zane leach off of his efforts that easily. Still, he wouldn't take it for himself either, so he gave it to Aurora to give her a huge advantage for when she began cultivating.
Many of the other spiritual wolves were paralyzed seeing their alpha turned to nothing.
