Chereads / The Triad Curse / Chapter 39 - Calling the Hybrid

Chapter 39 - Calling the Hybrid

Akrem.

If it wasn't because the incubus snatched Anne from me, I would still be focusing on working in the dark room and I'd be done with my exams for this semester.

"And it's not important for you?" Iron was making sure I didn't take the decision that I would regret later.

Since I was furious, only Anne's safety was important in my mind. So indeed, I was extremely determined,

"Ron! I was here only to find the descendants curse breaker for my dad that I believed led me to my Luna and my pack. She's the Luna that I'll spend the rest of my life with, of course, she's more important than merely an exam."

I heard Iron sighing,

"Can you handle Daniel?" he sounded worried.

"I know much about Incubus. But unfortunately, it wasn't detected because Claire's crystal ball can't see something ancient. That's why I read a lot about it. If there were ancient creatures that can't be seen by her crystal ball, then it is my area of expertise because I read what she couldn't see."

But for this time, Iron's voice sounded relieved

"As much expected from Akhmedov alpha. I told you that you're good at being alpha with all the knowledge you have."

"Yeah, lucky me to be an Akhmedov." I was grateful and proud.

"Off you go then, great alpha! Keep me updated!" he encouraged me. His words of believing in me were more than enough.

"I will! See you soon in the Imperial Colony!" I ended the call.

Now it was time for confirmation to Claire. She was the witch! She was the witch! A call from her suddenly startled me before I was about to dial her number.

"It's ancient, big brother! It's ancient!" was her first line after I picked up the phone she sounded in horror.

"Hey, I know I know, calm down!" she might be the great witch, but I was still his big brother that I was the one with the troubles but she was the one who needed to be calmed down.

"It's an incubus, sis." I calmly told her.

She finally understood and replied with calmness,

"And you already know how to handle it..."

"Yup," I answered with a short reply.

"As expected from our future alpha king…" she sounded very proud of me.

But still, I needed to confirm,

"Is this my Triad's second phase?" I sounded doubting myself.

"Yes, big brother. It'll be over in no time and you can move to the third phase."

"Glad to know," I felt relieved," Oh, and one more thing…" I hadn't finished my sentence when Crystal cut me with the most expected answer as a great hybrid.

"The flying ship? Just departed a while ago…" she smiled with a relief I could see so clearly from the phone screen.

"How long will it be here?" I asked.

"In 30 minutes" she replied short.

"Where should I wait?"

"Les Blues beach, of course." She smiled again with many meanings.

"Why don't you just say all the info right away?" I mockingly smirked at her.

"What's the fun in that? We're communicating, aren't we?" she chuckled with a smile that I sometimes missed.

"Be careful big brother…" she frowned a bit showing her care.

"Always…coz I know you'll keep me safe and updated. Hugs from me for Rizvan and Chaital." I returned her caring smile only with a bit of masculinity. People could say we were male and female versions of a person, a mix of both mom and dad.

"Big brother. By the way… you don't need to bring anything. Your prince suit is provided in the flying ship. You might wanna impress the host of the richest man's mansion in the Imperial Colony…" she smiled meaningfully.

I smirked again, "What? Mr. Tanaka?" I chuckled.

"Brother! He's like a dad to your mate! Since she's an orphan, Mr. Tanaka acts as her dad. Please be a decent prince…" she looked concerned.

I laughed, "I know… I know… I'm on a rescue mission with a side mission of impressing my future stepdad in law…" if I were in my wolf form, I'd have been rolling on the floor laughing.

"Off you go, big bro, the future Akhmedov alpha king of the Green Valley. Go fetch your future queen. I'll be here with my crystal ball, making sure you're on your right path." She said her last line with the best smile I'd always miss.

We both waved our hands like some longing siblings and ended the call.

I shifted right away and jumped from my balcony to rooftops with the fastest speed and the lightest weight. It took around 20 minutes to get to the Les Blues. But by the time I got there, the Flying Greenish, which was what we call our favorite flying ship, was already there. She was faster than we expected.

The Flying Greenish was flying around six feet above the beach sand bed and my crews were already down on the beach with a long blanket that I usually wore after I ran and shifted back to my Akrem human. She was something that reminded you of the Flying Dutchman. That is if you ever read about it.

I shifted to my human when I saw Wade, my first servant back then when I was in the Green Valley, opened my favorite long blanket to cover my Akrem human body. He quickly covered my naked body with the blanket. I smiled at him showing how I missed him,

"Wade! You look well! Thank you, thank you!"

He replied, "And forgive me, sire. You look leaner but more muscular. I believe your independent life gave you such wonderful effects on your great future alpha king's body."

He tried to praise me that made me realize my independent life in the Main Land forced me to work anything by myself. Indeed I looked leaner, but now with more muscles, because I ran more than I usually did back then when I was in the Green Valley.
