Chapter 25 - 025: Become His Woman (2)

"Miss Summer, turn left…"

"Miss Summer, go straight through the corridor."

"No, Miss Summer, you should go right, which leads directly to the garden…"

"Miss Summer, please take this way…"

"Miss Summer…"

"Miss Summer…"

"…" Tara Summers was literally speechless and almost losing her cool. It seemed that every servant in the Villa House knew her surname was Summer!?

But twenty minutes later, she had managed to reach the front door under the secret and overt guidance of everyone. The grand and imposing golden gate, towering into the clouds, was heavily guarded both inside and outside.

Tara Summers took a deep breath. Seeing those people each holding a sniper rifle, she was suddenly unsure whether to step forward.

She turned her head to survey the majestic villa complex in the distance. As expected of the first aristocratic house in the country, the king of Night City, this was the Yancey Family, comparable to a royal family.

Tara's heart sank inch by inch. Even though she couldn't completely grasp the meaning behind Liam Yancey's words, she had a strong feeling.

She couldn't escape, she definitely couldn't leave Saint Emperia Island!

Become his woman? Why her? Who is Liam Yancey, what kind of woman can't he have?

Not to mention his wealth and power, just by virtue of his handsome, bewitching face, he could flick his finger and women would be lining up to get into his bed, there's plenty of gorgeous and stunning beauties, why choose her!?

"Miss Summer, please take care." At the moment of her deep thoughts, the bodyguard at the front door had already opened the gate for her, dozens of mercenaries were staring at her with guns in hand, their eyes piercingly sharp.

Tara didn't overthink and straight up walked out of the gate. The three bodyguards behind her always stayed about thirty meters away from her, maintaining a constant distance.

Of course, Tara knew there was someone following her. She didn't mind. She ran ahead like crazy as soon as she stepped out of the gate while the three bodyguards followed up at a jog…

Three hours later, Tara was carried back to the Villa House on a stretcher by the three bodyguards. She had never felt so disgraced before.

She ran, they followed.

She stopped, they stopped too.

She jumped into the sea, they stood on the shore and asked if she needed a life jacket …

After struggling for three hours and trying every means under the hot sun, Tara was exhausted and even didn't have the energy to walk.

She almost burst into tears, understanding very well that she could not leave Saint Emperia Island unless she had Liam Yancey's approval. Otherwise, she would not get away, not even half a step, even to the point of death!

Tara was carried into the main bedroom on the top floor. It was noon but the floor-to-ceiling windows were fully closed. The curtains sealed out all light and the room was pitch black, so dark that she couldn't see her own fingers, creating a chilling and eerie atmosphere.

The three bodyguards moved effortlessly in the darkness. Regardless of her soaked clothes, they threw her directly onto the bed and bowed respectfully towards a certain corner of the room before retreating.

Lack of strength, Tara laid on the bed. The taste of salty seawater still lingered in her mouth, and she grabbed the silk quilt to wipe her mouth.

"Are you dead yet?" A man's voice suddenly echoed in the room, filled with a hint of eerie laziness and coldness.

Tara was slightly startled. She brushed away the wet hair clinging to her face and squinted towards the corner of the room.

"Dead." She replied crankily, cussing in her heart: This damn crazy man, shutting the curtains and acting mysterious. Does he think she would be frightened?

"Hmph." The man scoffed in mockery, falling silent after.

Tara waited for a moment without hearing any movement. She raised her head to search and abruptly saw a tall figure standing silently in front of her bed.
