"Hereafter please be careful where you are going" Raizen advised the soldier since many people would make a big fuss out of just someone bumping into him.
"Thank you, adventurer" the soldier answered, embarrassed that he bumped into such a kind girl. He even inappropriately touched the girl while bumping into her but she didn't make a big issue out of it.
Suddenly he had an idea to give some sort of compensation to this kind girl for his misdeed.
"Brave adventure, do you want to complete a mission I have?" he asked. All these foreign adventures would always ask for missions from natives.
Since he was rushing into the town to give a mission to an adventurer, he thought why not give it to this kind girl as a payment for his minor inconvenience since he felt very embarrassed about his clumsiness as an honourable city guard.
"Okay" Raizen agreed since he guessed this soldier was going to give him a quest. And as he guessed he saw a holographic screen before him.

Raizen accepted the request since it was just hunting chickens and boar. He didn't care about the rewards since he would have accepted it anyway to experience what a quest looks like.
"Thank you, brave adventurer, for agreeing to my request. After you complete the job report to the headquarters of the guards" saying this the soldier quickly left to tend to his duties.
Raizen started to move towards the city gates to enter the nearby forest and look for chickens and boars.
'Where do I find weapons to hunt chickens?' Raizen wondered as he moved towards the village gate. Suddenly he remembered the existence of one more option called inventory.
'Open inventory' he gave a mental command as the holographic screen opened again. The inventory had a total of ten spaces.
It had 20 bronze coins, an old sword, basic female armour, some meat and something called a health potion and mana potion.
He immediately thought of the sword as the sword magically appeared in his hands.
'A spatial skill?' Raizen wondered as took things from the inventory and sent them back again and again hoping to find the mechanism behind the inventory.
The surrounding players noticed that items kept on appearing and disappearing in the hands of a female player.
'Is it a bug?' they wondered, hoping to report it and earn a huge amount of money.
Unaware of the small commotion he caused, Raizen arrived at the gates. He could decipher the mechanics behind the inventory.
To be honest he was not obsessed with it since he could store things in his shadows. So he had no need for inventory in real life.
While he was checking the inventory he also learnt what mana potions and health potions did. It recovered mana and health upon consumption.
He noticed it had a cooldown of 3 minutes meaning it could only be used for every three minutes and it restored 20 health and 5 mana.
He also noticed the potions he had were basic ones so the ones superior to this should exist. Clearing his thoughts he equipped the sword and approached the guards.
"Do you guys know where wild chickens exist?" Raizen asked the guards standing guard at the door.
"Just go into the forest a bit deeper and you would know" they said without giving a clear answer.
Raizen thanked them and went a bit further into the forest. Not even a hundred metres were crossed when he heard the sounds of chicken crying and people shouting.
'Human senses really suck' Raizen thought as he moved towards the sound curiously. Soon he saw a stupid scene.
Nearly 50 people were mindlessly swinging their swords or spears at chickens.
But many chickens skillfully evaded the attacks and pecked the players in return. Some people lost their cool and wildly swung their weapons only for them to get pecked again.
He also noticed a bar appearing on top of both the kitchen and the players that displayed their remaining health.
As soon as a chicken died they would wait for a few seconds and then a new chicken would appear again they would mindlessly swing it again.
This process kept on repeating itself. Raizen looked at this situation dumbfounded.
He looked at the ground where the chickens were killed and saw many pieces of meat and some eggs.
People were wildly picking it up after killing the chickens. Many small skirmishes broke out since many people stole the meat that others killed. Humans were fighting chickens, chickens were fighting humans, and humans were fighting humans.
Overall it was pretty chaotic.
'Humans are truly weird' he thought as he observed this bizarre scene.
'So chicken meat is dropped upon killing the chicken. There is also a chance of getting an egg' Raizen analysed as he concentrated his gaze on one of the chickens hoping to gauge its strength.
Since he was in a mortal body he should treat everything with caution and not be careless and reckless.
'Such a new sensation. Feeling a sense of caution after a long time. It seems my journey in this era would be a truly interesting one' Raizen thought.
Suddenly he saw the familiar holographic screen.
[Wild chicken
Level: 2
Health: 10]
Raizen saw the information about the chicken appear on the screen.
'A good ability' Raizen thought. Just now he used one of his skills, basic appraisal. It lets him get basic information on his opponents.
'The players are mostly level 1 to 3. The chicken's attack power is very low but it has pretty good speed while the players kill the chicken with just 4 or 5 swings' Raizen analysed everything seriously.
To an immortal being who has lived for thousands of years, it should be an easy job to kill some chickens right?
