Both hits delivered by Brian connected solidly with Armin's shield, and neither blow was very loud. Armin, however, was aware of their descent down his arm. Never in his life had someone struck him with such force.
When the spear impacted his shield, he felt a brief shaking in his legs, but he immediately planted his feet deep into the earth and continued to fight.
Armin maneuvered his spear into the indentation in the shape of a crescent on his shield.
In order to deflect the attack, Brian spun his spear around while maintaining a firm grip on its base.
Brian's eyes were able to see how a dim light emanated from Armin's shield and traveled up the tip of the spear to the point where the two spears joined together.
The impact of the crash caused Brian to recoil, which resulted in these losing control of his spear.
Brian drew a smile as Armin let out a gasp, holding his spear in both hands. Brian could feel his fingers slightly trembling as he said, "That punch was mine, right?"
Brian withdrew some distance from the situation while slowly holding his spear in a horizontal position with both hands.
Armin lowered his hips and bent his knees as he lifted his shield and hurled his spear back while simultaneously doing so.
In the advance group, one of the hunters was staring at the fight as he said, letting go of his gun hanging from a strap around his neck, looking at the group that had just arrived, he said, "That guy seems to hit hard."
From the ground, the archer named Nicolas Lowrider snorted slightly, saying, "You can be sure of that…."
Everyone else in the area, including the hunters and the witch who was there as well, was staring at him.
One of the hunters stood behind him with a long blunderbuss dangling from a brown leather strap that was wrapped around his neck. His face was beginning to regain its color as he smiled in a manner that appeared to be slightly worn out.
He asked, "So, is it true?"
Nicolas nodded slowly. After that, the sorceress took her hands off his wounds.
Slowly the archer nodded, saying, "That bastard with the spear, he's got a lot of strength. He almost ripped my head off with just his hands, and it's a problem."
The blunderbuss hunter stared at the back of Nicolas's head, saying, "So, your plan is to let these two kill each other or get tired and then attack."
Drawing a smile, the young man said, "Creeping but intelligent."
From the ground, Nicolas said, "Yes, everyone fights as they can."
While he was looking at the sorceress in front of him, he noticed that the girl was wearing a uniform that was too big for her and that showed multiple marks of having been patched.
With a soft smile, she said, "I don't think the same as my friend Lawrence. Here we are all in the same situation. That's why I'm offering you a deal."
The hunter with the rifle turned his head slowly until Nicolas told him, "If you turn your head, you die."
Nicolas demonstrated to him how a small blue flash in the shape of an arrow sprang from his wrist by turning his hand over and showing it to him.
With a low and calm voice, the hunter, who had a blunderbuss hanging from his neck, placed his hands on the trigger of the blunderbuss and covered it with the other hand saying, "I think you're surrounded, friend."
The young hunter stared at him in the back of the head, saying, "Why should I listen to your offer?"
Giggling a little, Nicolas said softly, "Because there are already three of them, the guy with the spear, the brunette, and a hunter who must be hidden."
Turning her head a little to look at the hunter on her back, she said, "I'll offer you the same, with that blunderbuss you can with both. Nope? I can take care of this in one shot."
The blunderbuss hunter said, drawing a smile, "One shot and goodbye. If the lady joins us."
When he looked up, the hunter was staring at the young witch who had been kneeling on the ground and was looking up at Nicolas.
At the very end, there was complete silence among the gathering. The sorceress gave a very small nod as the darkness continued to engulf them more completely.
There are flashes of scarlet and burgundy, along with muffled thuds and rumbles when you get halfway there.
When Nicolas said, "Fine, when you both give a space, we fire at the same time."
Swallowing hard, the hunter who had the rifle said in a low voice, "You are wounded. If you miss the shot, you can be sure that I will stop you."
Nicolas said in a low voice with a mocking tone as he settled on the ground to shoot the hunter who was speaking to him in the back, "Stop me and not kill me. It seems that you are one of the rookies who let loose with us."
On that stretch of road, there was a deafening silence until the sorceress who was witnessing the struggle let out an audible gasp.
After exchanging knowing glances with one another as well as silent threats, the boys who were standing swiftly there switched their attention to the battle that was going on.
