Chereads / The Unexpected Alpha Mate / Chapter 5 - The Training

Chapter 5 - The Training

After I packed my luggage, I lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling, which still had the doodles I had made when I was young.

I started to feel lost about my future. Everything had changed. I didn't know how Yurika was doing, but I hoped she was fine. She was the closest person to me other than my family in this pack.

I rolled around on the bed. 'What are you going to do?' Emily suddenly asked.

"I don't know," I answered honestly.

'It's okay. Let's go with the flow.' Emily's emotions filled me.

I suddenly recalled that my mind-link had shut down automatically since I left the pack without saying goodbye.

Now that I had to stay in the pack for a long time, I thought about it and decided to start it again.

A few seconds after I opened it, a deep, magnetic male voice entered my mind.

"I hope I can see you at pack's square at 10 am tomorrow."

I jumped up from the bed in shock. I didn't know what was happening, so I ran out of the room to ask Andy what was happening.

"Andy, someone asked me to go to the square at 10 am tomorrow," I shouted as I went downstairs.

"Oh, if I'm not mistaken, that's the new Alpha champion I mentioned, Ivan Christian."

Andy was reading today's newspaper. When he saw that I didn't move, he looked up at me and continued, "Didn't I tell you before that he advocated for every wolf to display their advantages in the pack? he's probably testing what suits you tomorrow morning."

"Hmph, then I'll definitely be in the combat unit."

"Hmm ... Are you sure?" Andy questioned.

"Don't look down on me. I've been away from home for a year, and I've been learning. I've been training with someone who's several times more powerful than Father for a year. "

"Oh, really? Then, I'm looking forward to seeing your skills in the combat unit." Andy teased.

"My darlings, don't quarrel. Come and eat," Grandma said with a smile as she carried the dishes to the table.

While eating, I told Grandma and Mom what I had just told Andy.

Mother thought for a while and said to me, "You can go and take a look tomorrow. There will still be logistics, support, and living units, even if it's not a combat unit. In short, you will find a job that suits you in this pack. "

I responded absent-mindedly and quickly finished my dinner, but my mind was on Dad. How to convince the new Alpha to send people to find him? In the end, I couldn't think of a suitable way.

When night fell, I lay in bed, my mind running wild. Emily told me to go to bed early. After all, I still had to see the mountain-like face of the new Alpha tomorrow.

"Ivan? His voice is quite pleasant." As I thought about this, my consciousness slowly melted into the darkness.

When I woke up the next day, I heard Emily's giggles. I didn't know why.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked Emily in confusion.

'Oh, did someone forget what they should do this morning?'

"Oh, damn it! Why didn't you wake me up? It seems like you've woken up long ago, Emily." I immediately sobered up and said through gritted teeth.

'You know, I enjoy seeing you do some harmless embarrassing things.' Emily's laughter filled my mind.

I hurriedly put on a black sports suit, washed up, and ran downstairs, intending to get to the square as soon as possible.

"Sweetheart, why are you in such a hurry to go?" Grandma was sitting on the sofa in the living room, watching TV.

"Grandma, I think we've all forgotten that I have to meet the new Alpha this morning."

Just as I was about to leave, I heard Grandma say, "Since you're late, why don't you come over for breakfast? It shouldn't take too much time to finish a few sandwiches."

Grandma's suggestion sounded very good, and I was very tempted. However, I still decided to go and meet Ivan first, so I rejected Grandma's good intentions.

'Are you really not eating? I can even hear your stomach growling.' Emily encouraged me to eat the breakfast Grandma prepared for me.

"Shut up. We could have enjoyed our breakfast before going if you had woken me in time."

Fortunately, the journey wasn't too far. I jogged to the square.

The square was full of men and women, and each had more or less fierce scars of various sizes on their bodies. This way, the owners of the scars would be more courageous and good at fighting.

I saw a man standing alone in front of the crowd. He was more than 1.9 meters tall and had strong muscles. I was guessing he was the Alpha, Ivan.

I finally stopped in front of him and the group of people. The crowd suddenly became silent. It was extremely awkward.

"I think I told you the exact time we would meet today yesterday." The man stared at me with his dark green eyes.

"Well, you did make it clear, I..." I tried to find an excuse for being late, and I knew I was wrong, so I stammered, not knowing what to say.

"What's your name?" Finally, after a long time, the man spoke again. His attitude and tone were both very impatient.

"Betty Juliers."

He looked down, frowned, and sniffed the air.

"I told you not to wear perfume during training.

I glared at him. I wasn't wearing perfume, but I didn't want to argue with him about it.

He suddenly lowered his head and came close to my neck. I could feel the heat coming out of his nose. My heart stopped for a second and I felt like I couldn't breathe.

I raised my hand to resist him, and he grabbed my hand, sneered, and looked at me like a wild animal looking at its prey.

This man is too dangerous!
