I strolled toward the packhouse and saw the brawny man from before. But unfortunately, he also seemed to have seen me and snorted at me. I didn't want to argue with such childish behavior, so I pretended not to see him.
Fortunately, I still saw a familiar face. She was an employee of the convenience store near my house. I didn't know if she was still working there.
With that thought in mind, I was about to walk closer to her and say hello.
"Hey, Susan, it's me, Betty. I wonder if you still remember me?" I walked to her and tried to smile brightly as I greeted her.
"Oh, Betty, how could I forget you? After all, that incident of yours is quite well-known, haha!" I didn't know if Susan did it on purpose or not, but she did hurt me.
"Hey, don't mention that again." I was a little unhappy, so I didn't sound too friendly.
"Alright, alright. I didn't even know when you came back." Susan sensed I was a little angry, so she changed the topic.
