"Thank you for helping me prepare all of this. You're really good at cooking, honey. Thank you." Othniel praised the woman who had to be married because of an agreement but after marriage they fell in love with each other and agreed to cancel the agreement.
"It's my duty as your wife." Geona answered in an even voice as she went to the kitchen because there was still one more menu to prepare.
"Oh God, strengthen me. Don't let me be tempted by her cuteness. Geona is pregnant right now.`` Othniel talked to himself because his wife's behavior could break down his defensive walls.
Ting tong. The bell rang. Mely the butler at Othniel's house immediately opened the door. Nicko, Biyanka, and their little daughter enter when Mely greeted them .
"Just go to the dining room. Young master and his wife are already there."
"Thanks, Mel." Nicko answered while holding his five years old daughter, Chloe.
"You guys have come." Othniel greeted while his hands were busy filling each glass with water.
"Wow, you changed a lot after marriage. Did Geona give you extra inner satisfaction that you are willing to pour drinking water like this?" Nicko asked. His hand took the grapes on the table and gave some to Chloe.
Everyone in the household, his family and friends knew that Othniel, the only son of the owner of the Green Forest Hospital, never did a simple job like pouring water into guests' glasses.
"Don't make noise if you don't want to be sprayed with water!" Othniel answered while holding up the pitcher in his hand. He was annoyed that Nicko made his new habit as a joke.
Geona came out of the kitchen with a pajeon. This South Korean-style pancake was indeed one of her favorite foods.
"No wonder you feel at home. Your wife is good at cooking." Nicko didn't stop mocking his best friend, making Othniel even more want to throw the apple at his head.
"Sorry I'm late. There was work that could not be left behind." Eldrick, who had just arrived, immediately apologized.
"Sorry-sorry! Did you know that my stomach has been hungry for a long time?" Nicko grumbled at El's lateness. One grape in his hand flew to Eldrick's head who was sitting directly in front of them.
"Looks like you guys still have to wait since our important guest hasn't arrived yet." Geona's voice made all the guests turn their heads towards her.
"Important guest? We've all gathered. There shouldn't be anything more to wait for, right?" Nico asked. He and Eldrick frowned as they didn't have close friends anymore.
"Yes, an important guest. Even my wife is willing to cook a lot like this for her."
"We thought your wife was cooking a lot of food for us on purpose but it turns out there was someone else."
When they were confused by Othniel and Geona's words, a voice made them all turn away.
"Sorry I'm late. I have to wait for Daven to take a shower first while he won't let me go on public transportation." Ozora came in breathless. She deliberately walked quickly from the front gate to the dining table.
No one recognized Ozora but her face looked familiar to Nicko and Eldrick. Eldrick, who was famous for being clean, neat, picky, and perfectionist, saw Ozora's appearance. "Very messy. Curly hair was left loose, pants were torn with sneakers, shirt buttons were all open to reveal the tank top she was wearing. Just from appearances, it is clear that she is a careless woman." Eldrick immediately assessed Ozora in his heart.
"Don't you recognize her?" Othniel grabbed his wife's waist while asking. Othniel's behavior made Geona want to ruffle her husband's hair. The man was always looking for opportunities whenever someone else was among them.
"She's Ozora. She's one of the children from the agape orphanage. A few days ago I told you that Ozora is Geona's adopted sister." Othniel explained and his two friends gasped at that.
"Agape orphanage?" Eldrick immediately disliked hearing the name of the place. Every time the name of the orphanage was mentioned Eldrick immediately remembered the embarrassing incident when his pants were torn and it became a joke for all the children.
"I'm going home first. I don't want to deal with anyone from that place." Eldrick stood up but Othniel hastily stopped him.
"I won't let you go. My wife has cooked a lot of food. She also prepared your favorite food." Othniel's words made Eldrick's eyes look at the dining table.
"I will be very angry if you go home and don't appreciate Geona's hard work. Sit down quickly!" Threats as well as orders Othniel issued.
"You guys are annoying!" Eldrick landed his butt on the chair again. Everyone present could see the great annoyance on Eldrick's face.
Eldrick's appetite disappeared instantly when Geona has cooked his favorite food. Othniel who asked for Geona's help because he wanted to help his friend out of the embarrassing memories of the past. Of course Geona didn't refuse because she liked to help other people.
"El, try eating the pajeon. My wife's cooking is delicious. You don't have to go to Korea just to eat it." Otniel deliberately praised Geona because he knew that after this the woman's ravings would cheer him up. Geona would get angry whenever Othniel showed affection in front of other people.
"I'm very full," Ozora said and she took a tissue to wipe her lips. After that she rubbed her stomach that felt full.
"So gross!" El muttered who saw the woman's behavior. He was getting annoyed because the name Ozora was the main suspect which made him embarrassed in the past.
It was getting late. Daven couldn't pick up Ozora because he had to take his friend first. If Ozora kept waiting it would be more getting late. It was also impossible for Nicko to escort Ozora. His little daughter had been sleeping and Biyanka had been tired quite a bit lately.
"El, please take my sister," Geona said. Geona took this opportunity to bring Eldrick closer to Ozora.
"I can't, Geona. You know that I can't get close to new people." Eldrick refused for many reasons in his head to do so.
"Please..." Geona folded her arms and begged. She put on a pitiful face for Eldrick to fulfill her request. They could have loaned Ozora the car or asked the driver to take Ozora but again this was all Othniel's plan.
"Okay. Thank goodness you are Othniel's wife. Otherwise I will not follow your request. It sucks."
