Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

"Senior! I really enjoyed taking this class with you!"

Right now, more than half of the people were already gone, save for a few who had some questions or were packing their things.

Edward took out his phone. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it hesitantly. He seemed to contemplate what to do for some time before sighing, "Never mind".

August couldn't help but smile at his antics. He was so confident before, and now he's hesitating so much.

Edward seemed to think of something and took out his phone again, extending it to August. "Uh, I...." He trailed off before sighing again, "No, it's nothing-"

August took the phone from his hand before he could put it back in his pocket again. "Do you want to exchange numbers?"

Edward's eyes lit up. He hurriedly nodded, "Yes! I want to!" His expression turned a little awkward when he realised how loud he was and might have come off as a little too enthusiastic.

The amused smile never left August's face as he typed his number in Edward's phone. "Since I'm your senior, you can ask me if you have any questions. Don't be shy," August couldn't help but add, "-We can even hang out someday if we both happen to have time."

Edward rubbed the back of his neck, still embarrassed by his sudden burst of enthusiasm. "Then I'll be troubling senior from now on."

"Okay. I'll be looking forward to it"

"Senior! I don't understand this part-"

"Senior! Let's check out the new restaurant that opened."

"I heard there's a very good movie in the theater right now. Should we to go see it?"

Although August said to call him sometimes and not to be shy, he didn't think Edward would actually call him, not to mention everyday. This guy never fails to surprise him.

He even thought that it might be the first and last time they interact. After all, Edward was fairly popular so it's not like he would need his company or his help if he did have any questions. August was just testing his luck, even though he knew the chances of them actually getting involved with each other were very small.

Save for a few days when he was busy, they met up almost everyday. Since the workload right now wasn't unbearable, both of them had some time to spare.

They actually didn't go to movies or restaurants everyday. Most of the time they met up in their apartments and talked casually while doing their own thing. Today was one of those days.

August sat on the couch with his laptop, typing an assignment he had to summit next week. Edward was sprawled on the sofa playing some game on his phone. After hanging out almost everyday for so long, they were now a lot more familiar and casual around each other.

Even though they were both doing their own work, the silence wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. Rather, it was peaceful and warm, both of them enjoying each other's company.

The sound of his keys were the only one echoing 'tak-tak' in the otherwise silent place. It was calm and peaceful-

"Ah, dammit!" Edward cursed and threw his phone in frustration.

August looked up from his laptop curiously. "What happened?"

Edward replied in anger, "This damn game. I have already tried like, 10 times to beat this boss, but no. It fucking regenerated at the last moment every damn time," He cursed some more before sighing and getting up.

Not bothering to pick up his phone, Edward strolled over to August. "What are you writing, senior? Assignment?"

He leaned over August's shoulder to see the screen and read, "Hmm....The process of Britain unification is actually very....Ah whatever. History's too boring for me anyway."

Hugging August from behind, he whined, "The game's too boring. Your assignment is also too boring. Let's do something else!"

When they weren't this comfortable, August used to flinch every time Edward touched him. He'd feel uncomfortable even with something like a simple brush of hands.

But he soon discovered that Edward was a very touchy person. He liked to hug people, hold hands and touch them without any ulterior meaning. Since then, August slowly became used to his habit. Now, he wouldn't bat an eye even if Edward bear hugged him out of blue.

Without turning, August replied as he typed, "Edward, I'm busy right now. Play some other game for now, okay? I need to complete this today."

Edward didn't seem to want a no for an answer. He pouted, "Nope. Not playing anything else."

"Why?"

"I don't want to. I only want to hang out with a very cute senior of mine called August Castellan."

He knelt down and put his head on August's nape, taking his hands in his to stop him from working. August tried to free himself but Edward just held him more tightly.

Seems like he won't be completing this today. Sighing, he conceded, "Alright, alright. You win. Release me now, okay? I still have to save this document so I can continue it later."

Having achieved his goal, Edward obediently released august.

August smiled at him acting all spoiled. He, who usually got annoyed by people interfering with his work, felt strangely happy on being interrupted like this by him. He was blissfully oblivious to Edward hurriedly wiping his hands with a napkin, an expression of pure disgust on his face.

"I'm done. So, what do you want to do?"

Edward immediately stuffed the napkin in his pocket and put an idiotic expression, just like he always did around August. "I don't know? I'm just bored..."

"Should we go out?"

Edward shook his head.

"-Or do you want to do something here ?Hmm...Should we just Netflix something?"
