As the eastern wind blows the leaves west, a lone figure of a fairy appears out of thin air. Her fuchsia gown dances with the wind. She kneels in the meadow to pick a pretty pink rose. Her strawberry blonde hair moves in the direction of the wind.
At another part of the same meadow, the ground falls apart to form a hole. Out of that hole crawls another lone figure. Its claws dig into the soil of the earth as it drags its body from the hole.
Drawing long, ragged breaths, it finally got out of the hole. On closer inspection, it looked more like a man with horns. He tries to calm his breaths as he lies on his back.
The broken tip of a spear was pierced into his left rib cage, black blood oozing from the wound and some other parts of his body. He tries to remove the spear tip but on contact, it pierced further into his flesh eliciting a loud groan from him.
The fairy heard a faint noise from where she was. She whipped her head in the direction of the disturbance. Another groan was heard. She wondered what or who could be in the meadow at this time of year. Her reverie was broken by another loud groan.
She was worried about what could be in the meadow with her but another groan made her throw caution to the wind. She fluttered cautiously towards the sound. She reached a certain spot, behind some bushes, where the noise was more intense.
She peeked over the bushes to see an injured creature lying on the ground, blood coating the grass it lay on. She rushed over to help the creature. The man, whose vision was blurry, was still reaching for the spear tip. "Stop that!" the fairy screamed. His blurry vision could only make out the outline of a female hovering near him before he passed out completely.
The fairy was in a state of panic as the creature lost consciousness. She put her index finger near the nose of the creature. She was greatly relieved to find that he was still breathing.
She thought of taking it back to her queendom but his appearance might cause a frenzy, not just the black blood, but the horns on his head and the claws that adorned has arms. Not to mention the blood red irises that she saw a while ago.
Finding help in or anywhere around the meadow was a fool's errand so the best option was to help him herself. She closed her eyes and hummed under her breath. Suddenly, wisps of golden threadlike vines creeped on the skin of the man. Soon, he was levitating and both him and the fairy disappeared.
