Chapter 57 - Wash your neck

The moment their summons appeared, both girls activated Will Assimilation with their respective beasts.

Lisa was about to shout a command when Laura's voice overshadowed her own. "Are you sure I can make use of everything in here?"

Lisa frowned as she realized that Laura was communicating with Lloyd.

Lloyd didn't know whether to laugh or cry at Laura's antics. "Just use them as you wish and start fighting already."

"Got it." Laura nodded as she turned her attention back to Lisa.

Lisa's lip twitched as she glared hatefully at Laura that was obviously not taking their match seriously.

"Queen Bee… end her."

Queen Bee replied. "As you wish."

She put her head up to take a deep breath after which she dropped her head down and opened her mouth.

Her jaw opened up as well, allowing her seemingly human mouth to be stretched beyond what would be humanly possible.

In the next second, several bees, numbering in the thousands came out from Queen Bee's mouth after which they quickly began to grow until they were roughly the size of a teenage male.

Laura was thoroughly disgusted as she saw this. "Ugh, did she just puke those things out?... That's disgusting."

Lisa felt the urge to pummel Laura but she was well aware that it wouldn't be so easy, so she could only swallow her anger for now.

Just then, Steel spoke telepathically. "Do you plan on using my thread?... I can sense a few favorable artifacts in that bracelet of yours."

Laura grinned. "Don't worry, I'd like to give everyone a big shock. Use Iron Will and Silver threads. I'll handle the rest."

"Mn."

Lisa cracked her whip as she ordered. "Kill!"

The Worker bees let out a screech before they made a beeline for Laura.

It was then that Lisa noticed the grin on Laura's face, almost as though she were planning something.

The next moment, Laura touched the bracelet she had on her right wrist and rubbed it aggressively with two fingers after which it began to glow with a bright yellow hue.

"Wishing Bracelet, give me ten weapons suitable for combat."

Lisa was stunned. Wishing Bracelet?... Ten weapons?... What in the world is that?

Even those in the audience were left confused by Laura's statement.

Of course, a second later and their questions were answered.

Ten bright lights shot out from the bracelet and landed around Laura, forming a circle.

The light show died down to reveal ten swords lined up around Laura. Each one shone as sunlight struck their lustrous blades. Their designs were so sleek it was enough to make blacksmiths and sword enthusiasts appreciate their structure.

But what caught everyone's attention though was not the sleek design or the fact that ten swords just appeared out of nowhere and encircled Laura.

It was the fact that those swords were Magic artifacts!

Lisa nearly coughed up blood after realizing that not only did Laura have a defensive artifact that could very much be at the High Mortal rank, but she also had a collection of sword-type Magic artifacts as well.

Sure, they were Low Mortal ranked Magic artifacts but the fact remained that they were still magic artifacts!

One should know that Magic artifacts were not cabbages that one could just buy at a kiosk. Each one of them had a certain level of value attached to them.

But right now, Laura was overturning everything Lisa knew as she held twelve magic artifacts.

In the audience, Lara was pleasantly surprised by Laura's showing with the bracelet. "Lloyd, what exactly is that bracelet?"

Lloyd awkwardly chuckled. "Would you believe me if I told you that I got it in an underground auction that sells rare Magic artifacts?"

Lara nodded in understanding. "Ah, so that's it. Using money to strengthen oneself."

Lloyd shrugged. "I have a lot of it after all. What would be the use of having so much if I can't spoil my daughter?"

Max remained silent at the side but sighed inwardly at just how some people had it easy in life.

Meanwhile, down in the arena, Lisa's Worker bees had already crossed the distance between their master and her opponent.

Brandishing their stings, they resolved to impale Laura till she was bereft of life.

Laura put her hands down and started to wiggle her fingers, seemingly getting the feel for something.

Lisa at this point could not keep her composure due to Laura's antics, this was why she failed to notice the silvery glint that flashed in the area, thirty meters around Laura.

What happened next though was enough to jolt her back to her sense.

A pained screech echoed across the arena as the first Worker bee to come within proximity of the silvery glint had its body cut into several pieces with blood splashing all around.

Lisa was wide-eyed with surprise with Queen Bee behind her frowning as she realized something. "Lisa, your opponent has a domain. My children won't be able to get past her defense."

Lisa gritted her teeth as she used magic to probe Laura only to find several thin threads crisscrossing around her like a spider's web.

"So that's how it is… Tch, call them back!"

Based on the tensile strength of each silver thread, she could already tell that the Worker bees would only be heading to their deaths if they dared to cross it.

Unfortunately, Lisa didn't exactly have the magic to waste in a futile struggle.

Thus, without further ado, her army of ten thousand Worker bees retreated a few meters.

Laura pouted as she saw that her sneak attack had failed. "And here I was hoping that you'd at least send a few of those disgusting creatures to test out my weaving."

If looks could kill, Laura would have died a thousand times over due to how Lisa was glaring hatefully at her.

From the start of their match till now, Lisa had no choice but to go with Laura's flow, due to being unable to land even a single hit on her.

She hated the fact that she couldn't drag that bitch out from her cocoon and show her the folly of her ways. Fortunately, she was still smart enough not to blindly attack.

"Do you plan on staying in there till the end of the match?... What kind of combatant are you?... Come out and fight, else you can just get out of the arena so that real combatants can use it."

Laura sneered. "Don't worry, I'll be with you shortly. You'd better wash your neck before then."
