Lisa sneered. "Talking big won't make a difference as long as you keep staying in your cocoon like a bug."
Laura's smile slowly died down as she stopped wiggling her fingers. "You are right. I guess it's time to get to work then."
Lisa's senses were telling her that Laura was about to act thus she prepared herself, even going as far as preparing her Mystic art just in case.
Mystic arts were martial arts but for Magicians. It inculcated the concept of body cultivation and weapon usage to fight in close quarters.
It allowed the Magician to imbue the uniqueness of a summon, which was basically their attribute to either a weapon or their body.
For Lisa, Queen Bee was of the Poison attribute thus her Mystic arts involved imbuing poison to her whip, causing the thorns on it to become more than just a way to flay a person's skin.
Laura saw this but remained unfazed as she planted her feet into the ground… and made her move.
Boom
Her sudden dash exerted so much force on where she stood, that the ground sank lower with a minor crater forming.
The webs weaved around her parted as she rushed toward Lisa. The latter had a cold glint in her eyes as she watched Laura leave the protection of her Summon.
"I don't know whether to call you stupid or just downright brave, but since you are so kind as to make my work easier, I'll gladly accept your gesture…
"Take her down!"
Lisa ordered with a vengeance as she increased the input of magic into the spatial tunnel, allowing Queen Bee to exert even more of her powers.
With a screech, the Worker bees rushed at Laura like hyenas going in for the kill.
They brandished their stingers and closed the distance within seconds.
Laura was unfazed by the number of enemies as she paused in her tracks and activated her Mystic arts.
What happened next was enough to cause several people to look at Laura in a new light.
"Motion of Steel: First form – Erratic weaving!"
Laura crossed her hands and swung them out at the same time toward the bees. A silvery glint flashed after which the swords that had been embedded in the area she stood before were pulled out of the ground.
The next second and the swords disappeared after which several pained screeches began to echo across the arena.
The noise was so much, that several nobles ended up using ear muffs to save themselves from the bothersome sounds.
What followed after was the complete annihilation of Lisa's Worker Bees as those that came within a certain range of Laura had their bodies split into several pieces with their blood bathing the ground red.
Lisa watched this spectacle in shock while Queen Bee fumed in anger as her children were dismembered in their hundreds.
Meanwhile, Laura was having the time of her life as she created her first Mystic art form. Her fingers wiggled and her arms swung about as she manipulated ten steel wires that were tied to the ten swords she summoned earlier.
Moving the sword with the wires, she created a sword move that could not be predicted and had a wide reach as well.
It moved just like water but was deadly enough to split apart a boulder if it wandered into her reach.
The swords and steel wires shone as the sun rays refracted off them but what did it matter?... It only meant that the Worker bees would see a sharp color before their bodies were ripped apart.
All of a sudden, there was a voice. "No!" Queen Bee roared in anger as she charged forth.
She could no longer watch as her children were slaughtered so mercilessly. "I'll rip you apart!"
Laura paused as a stifling aura held her in place. She turned just in time to see a murderous Queen Bee rushing at her with her killing intent revealed in all its glory.
Lisa was not idle as well as she cracked her whip and prepared to strike.
Fortunately, Laura's immobility lasted for a brief second as a familiar aura washed over her, breaking her from Queen Bee's hold.
Breathing a sigh of relief, she quickly took a step back as Queen Bee covered the distance between them in a flash and swung her claws to rip her face off.
"Am I so weak that you'd ignore my presence!" A masculine voice roared as used his arm to block Queen Bee's attack.
A sound akin to metal scratching metal occurred as Queen Bee's claws clashed with Steel's arm.
Taking a step back, Queen Been appraised the Spider Monkey standing before her with a fierce look on its face.
"Get out of my way!"
Steel snorted. "So you can kill my contractor?... Are you nuts from watching your children get cut to pieces like common livestock?"
"Die!" Queen Bee did not bother with words as she charged at Steel and both beasts immediately entered into close combat.
Queen Bee used her superior speed to zip around Steel while landing quick attacks on his body. Of course, she tried to attack Laura as well but due to the web defense that Steel placed about her, she was unable to get to her.
After a few attempts, Queen Bee had no choice but to focus on the annoying monkey that was not allowing her met out punishment to the presumptuous human that dared to kill her children without remorse.
Unfortunately, her attacks were only strong enough to tickle Steel as his fur was literally as strong as steel, allowing him to shrug off Queen Bee's quick attacks while swinging his appendages to grab hold of her.
"Let me at her!" Queen Bee was beyond frustrated after two whole minutes of trying to injure Steel yielded nothing but insults and jeers from the silver-colored ape.
"Do you still want to go on?... If I'm being honest, I can do this all day." Steel mocked with a smug expression on his otherwise fierce-looking face.
