Watching Max take the lead, Elena clicked her tongue as she asked. "And if he doesn't?"
It was an understandable question as they couldn't place all their hopes on Cedric in the first place so Max didn't deem it necessary to pick offense.
"Then we hope that some sort of miracle occurs, else this land shall be our grave," Max replied without mincing words.
With that, they quickly heeded his words with Tara carrying Talia and placing her a few meters away from Cedric.
Immediately after and they took a defensive formation around Cedric, protecting him from all sides while keeping a sufficient distance to not end up scorched by the intense heatwave from his body.
