Even though she had encountered the Royal Ministers already before, Evie's heart was still drumming wildly in her chest as she walked along the hallways to the throne room.
She wondered how they viewed what she did. And if they are willing to accept her in spite of what she has done.
"Everything will be alright, Evie. Just admit your mistakes and tell them that you're innocent." Joyce lifted her fists in the air.
It was already the next morning, and she was standing outside the throne room since she cannot probably come inside and witness her trial. Evie nodded her head at her since her arms were both tied behind her.
As the throne room opened, every eye darted toward her. The Duke of Athesus was looking at her with a serious expression while the Duke of Thurelis was nodding his head as if he was telling her that he was on her side. The Duchess of Media, on the other hand, was at the far end of the room and was not looking at her.
