"Please do not tell me you have purchased an awful amount of something again!" Samuel said with a smile and Erica flinched just for a second, Samuel could see a few tears in her eyes when she looked at him straight in the eyes.
It was enough to make him stand up with serious concern. "Whats going on?" He asked quickly. Erica clenched her teeth and replied, "You... come with me!" She was angry and sad at the same time, but the anger wasn't directed at him so much as the world or someone else.
She had quickly grabbed his hand and dragged him along, they walked in the same direction as their own house with only a slight off course heading. She took him to Sonyas little sister Emmas house.
Erica did a loud knock before entering the house with Samuel in tow. Inside he could see Sonya sitting and cradling her sister that looked bruised and beaten with most of the wounds being healed by one of her teammates.
Emmas other teammates also looked bruised and injured and looked down in shame at the floor. "Please don't tell dad, please don't!" Emma kept repeating quietly, Samuel could only pick up what she was saying because of his heigtened senses.
"What happened?" Samuel quietly spoke and as he walked forward Emma looked away and hid into her sisters chest. "This is the price to pay sometimes, for being children of an archon and showing momentary weakness." Sonya said with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"They always try to ridicule us, bring us down and make a mockery out of us and our talents. My brother and I were always strong enough to beat the crap out of anyone that did it... but our two little sisters are much more kind souls than we are!"
Sonya clenched her teeth and tightened her grip around Emma, "But to defile someones body and laugh and beat her at the same time... crosses a line! I haveto tell my father... I need the ones who did this to pay, to die."
Emma whimpered and kept whispering to not tell their father while Samuel stood rigid as a rock with an emotionless expression and nodded. "Who did this? I need to know! Because you both need to stay here and keep them safe!" He looked at Erica first and then Sonya.
"What are you going to do?" Erica asked with an annoyed expression. Samuel nodded slowly, "I am going to go beat them up so bad that they can never walk again. So I need to know who did this!" He knelt down to Emma before placing a hand on her hair and stroking it slightly.
She turned away from her sister to look at her idol and shook her head. "It's my fault, you don't need to do anything... please." She tried to plea with him but he shook his head.
"Not ever would it be your fault! Not a chance in a million years. Taking a risk is one thing, but you are not responsible for others actions. You can only ever bear the fault of taking a risk but you can never dictate others actions when they choose them on their own."
"I won't tell your father, if you tell me who did it!" He spoke to her softly and a few minutes later he exited the house and took a deep breath. "Time to get started!" He said out loud and quickly walked accross the campus.
He eventually found the correct house and knocked on the door several times before an unknown second year opened the door, "I need to speak to Vuloc, right now!" Samuel spoke in a calm yet deadly voice. "Alright, one sec!" The young woman replied before shuffling about, Samuel waited outside and a few minutes later Vuloc opened the door wide.
"Oh hey, whats up! Want to join in on the fun?" The handsome half elf spoke while revealing a small party of half naked people. "Another time!" Samuel nodded with his head for him to come outside. Vuloc didn't hesitate to walk outside even if he had no shirt on.
"So what can I do you for?" He asked with a bright smile that slowly faded when he saw how serious Samuel seemed to be.
"I know that you have started assembling a small faction in my name, even though I never asked for it. But I am not crass, I will accept it as part of the self made debt you owe me." Samuel spoke and Vuloc nodded.
"It was supposed to be a gift for your third year, trust me when I say that you can go far when you have a proper faction during the third year. The way factions work, you don't even need to do much, it was supposed to make it easier for you while we could run it in the backround."
"It would be a win win, those that manage factions also can get high scores and profits from that, and those that partake in factions even at the lower ranks of them gain extra scores from the program. We have already been accepted as an official faction, but considering your grave expression you have come here for something else."
Vuloc hit the high notes and Samuel sighed before explaining the whole ordeal as he had heard it. Vuloc's expression grew more and more grave, "Get them to admit what they did and they will all be expelled. Even better they would probably get tossed into prison."
"Yes, but I want to make them pay before squeezing out the answers. You said our faction is essentially prepared, I have also sent some people your way as you are probably aware which means you already knew I knew about the faction."
Samuel sighed before looking Vuloc in the eyes, "We are going hunting, assemble the faction... you have an hour!" He spoke like a military commander and Vulocs eyes grew wider before a big grin spread accross his face.
"It will be my pleasure! My Lord!" Vuloc gave him a small bow, "As to where do you want us to assemble?" He quickly asked to make sure. Samuel looked toward the direction of the sun before giving Vuloc a small ring.
"House Gillfall manor down in the city. When you have everyone assembled at the gates outside, then show the guards this ring and tell them I have sent for you all." Samuel smiled at him, "Time to see if you are worth your weight in words." Samuel hinted at the self proclaimed debt and Vuloc couldn't help but smile even more.
"Give us an extra 10 minutes to gear up!" He said and tapped his heart twice with a fist, a regular sign of respect for ones leader. Samuel nodded and took his leave. Assembling the faction in an hour would be hard work but Vuloc seemed confident enough.
Samuel quickly returned to the house where he had left the others behind. He was met with Erica who held him at spell point when he opened the door, of course she quickly dismissed the spells after seeing that it was really him.
"I am going after them in an hour!" He said with a smile and saw their worried expressions. "But not alone!" Upon hearing those last words Fraudren stood up, he was the brave one among Emmas teammates, he looked quite beaten up but the worst seemed to have been healed.
"Then take me with you as well!" He looked at Samuel with a plea, "Please I beg you, I wasn't able to protect anyone..." He shook his head and couldn't look at anyone because of the shame.
Samuel walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder, "Very well. I will honor your wish!" Fraudren looked at him for a few seconds before looking away again. "Thank you!"
"Also, someone who didn't try to do nothing wouldn't be beaten up, you didn't run... is what I am saying! That speaks for more than you can imagine." Samuel gave his shoulders a pat before looking to Sonya and Erica.
"You two should stay of course, just in case!" He saw that Erica hesitated for a few moments before looking at Sonya and decided to stay by her side. "Just don't go doing anything too stupid!" She gave him a nod.
"Well you know me! I can't promise something I might end up breaking, but I will do my best. That I can promise you!" Samuel chuckled and before he took his leave he double checked on Emma who was now asleep from exhaustion.
With Fraudren in tow they left the building and headed towards the area where most of the third year houses were located. "Now for the one hardest to convince for help." He spoke with a smile and Fraudren wondered whom it could be before realizing where they were.
It took them a few minutes to find the correct house and when Samuel knocked on the door it opened almost instantly. Standing in the doorway was a dark elf that looked pissed. "Ugh, scram you lowlifes we ain't got no time for you!" He said after taking one good look at the first and second year.
He tried to shut the door but Samuel put his foot in the way which made the dark elf even more pissed. "I said beat it, or else I will beat you!"
"I am in no mood for bullshit, get that asshole Khazan here right now or I will start blowing shit up." Samuel spoke and as he did his magic aura started seeping out, the third year became even more pissed off but he realized that Samuel wasn't joking.
Seeing as how he didn't want his house blown away he quickly shouted Khazan into the house. "Some pricks are here to see you buddy, some fans or something stupid probably." The dark elf stepped out of the way and Khazan opened the door and the minute the hid he got the, 'oh its you' expression.
"What do you kids want?" He asked while looking smug as usual and leaning on the doorframe. Samuel didn't hesitate, he was in no mood for bullshit. He instantly grabbed Khazan by the collar and yanked him out and tossed him onto the dirty ground.
Khazan instantly flew back up looking pissed off and preparing spells in both hands. But Samuel wasn't standing on the steps anymore, he was already in front of Khazan and quickly headbutted the shit out of him.
Everything went black for Khazan for a few seconds and when he opened his eyes again he lay flat on the ground and slowly looked up at Samuel who was offering him his hand. "I could use your help and I got no time for bullshit!"
Khazan looked pissed but took Samuels hand regardless and he helped drag him back on his feet. "You better have a good fucking reason or I will seriously fuck you up!" Khazan spoke like an angry dragon in that moment and the pressure and magic released was enough to make Fraudrin flinch and take several steps back.
But much to their surprise, Samuel didn't even flinch. "You care for your little sisters even though you behave like an asshole right?" Samuel's question made Khazan raise both eyebrows but he tilted his head as if he somewhat agreed to the statement.
Samuel then told him what had happened and Khazan chuckled after a minute had gone by, "Thats a nice joke but I have more important things to do, I mean who would be stupid enough to do such a thing when they know exactly who she is."
Khazan started laughing and noticed Samuel wasn't fazed. Samuel then spoke a few names and Khazan looked him right in the eyes. In those eyes Khazan found no lie or deceit, no joke or trick. Matched with the names he had heard, he stared into Samuel's eyes before clenching his fist first.. then his teeth.
"This is no lie?" He asked with a growl.
"I can confirm!" Fraudren spoke up, "I was there, they beat the shit out of me and I couldn't do anything to save her." He looked down in shame and Khazan finally acknowledged the first year and took a good look at his bruising.
Khazan then let out every bit of killing intent and magic pressure, it seemed like a storm started brewing as the winds grew more violent, but after a second he exhaled and it stopped. "Alright, today we are allies, today we go kill some fucking bastards!" Khazan held out his hand in front of Samuel and he grasped it with a strong grip.
"Allies for a day it is!" They both gave eachother smiles, but Fraudren just saw two crazy murderous grins and felt like he shouldn't have come along.
