Feng Gao bowed down on his knees, as he showed respect to Fong Woo. Fong Woo has gotten even younger than the last time Feng Gao had seen him. But the darkness of the dark moon orb had taken him over completely. The dark smoke around him clung to him like a second piece of clothing. His eyes are pure black, and there is a permanent scowl on his flawless young face.
'I guess that he had more souls while I was away.' Feng Gao thought to himself. 'He was a middle aged psycho man before I left, and now he looked younger than me. And I am just in my late twenties.
"Gao, it's had been awhile. At one point I even thought that you had abandoned me, but I said to myself, He wouldn't do such a thing, we are partners. Not master and slave." Fong Woo chuckle sent chills down Feng Gao's spine.
"I-i am glad you think that way." Gao cleared his throat. Upset with himself about his stuttering. "I would never betray you. I want to wreak havoc on the cultivating world just as much as you."
Fong Woo chuckled even more, placing his right foot over his left knee. His dark waist length hair blended in with his black as midnight dressing, and he played with the dark red belt that hung down from around his waist.
"I know you wouldn't betray me, or else you would have been dead by now, with crows picking at your lifeless eyes." Fong Woo's chuckles turned into laughing, and it reminded Feng Gao of an asylum. Making him second guess why he joined forces with him in the first place. Oh right, he offered him pieces of gold. And a chance to punish those who had wronged him.
"I have great news for you master-"
Fong Woo placed a hand in the air, stopping Feng Gao from finishing his sentence. "Haven't I told you already, I am not your master. We are partners, how much more do I have to tell you." Woo rolled his eyes, and shook his head in disbelief. Acting like Feng Gao is the crazy one there.
Feng Gao took a step back, looking at Fong Woo like he had just escaped from a madhouse. But he had ensured that he covered it up with a smile, to ensure his own safety of course. Madman Woo might be saying that they are partners now, but that orb is making him even crazier that he already is. So Gao has to have his own liability insurance in check.
"I am sorry…partner." Gao put emphasis on the word partner. "I just got used to everyone referring to you as master, so it became a habit."
Fong Woo waved him off. "Ah, that is just everyone else. They are nothing, compare to you." Feng Gao smiled at him, giving him a thumbs up. Without any mutual feeling behind it. "Now tell me the great news." Woo clapped his hand like a little kid who is about to get candy from his parents.
"I found out who caused that mini earthquake and heat wave, and I also made a little discovery of where Wang Feng-Huang's lotus aura is located." Gao looks at Woo and then looks away from him, like he has some big secret, but he doesn't want to share it with Fong Woo.
"What are you waiting for? Tell me!" Fong Woo said loudly, getting up from his throne when Gao's silence became unbearable.
Feng Gao smirks to himself, folding his arms underneath the sleeve of his robe. 'I should make him sweat first before I tell him.' "Well you see, I…it's not so easy to get. You…-"
"Gao?"
"Yes Woo?" Gao causally answered, looking at his nails.
"Why are you stalling?"
"Me stalling? Nooo, I would never. I just wanted to know what you will do with the lotus aura if you get your hands on it?" Feng Gao hadn't had the opportunity to find out why Woo wanted the aura, so he guessed this time is the best time to ask.
"You know that Wang Feng could do great things that other Prospectors can't do, right?" Gao nodded his head. "He could reincarnated the dead,"
"Soo." Gao edged him on.
"When I get the aura, I am going to reincarnate my father. And bring back more cultivators that the cultivation world has done wrong. And together we will create the greatest army, and take revenge on those good for nothing goody two shoes." Fong Woo laughed like the dark maniac he is, and even though the idea sounds appealing to him. Feng Gao still has his doubts and fear or what someone as crazy as Woo could do if they get their hands on the lotus aura and the blood moon orb at the same time.
'Little naive boy, I hope that you are ready for the fight of your life.' Gao said in his mind, as the mysterious face under the pretence of Li Jen's face, forced its way into his thoughts.
Kai breathe hard as he tries to get away from the shadow that is chasing him. The red eyes of the monster, boring into his soul like nails driving into boards. The chillness from it's presence behind him, sends shiver down his spine.
Kai tripped over a loose tree root, protruding out of the ground. He fell on his stomach, and hit his body hard angast the rooty ground. His breathing became labour, as the shadow approuch him more rapidly. He tried to get up, but it felt like something was holding him to the ground. And when he looked down, sure enough, the tree roots has come alive. Like something evil was controlling them, and their black hard woody structures held him down to the ground. Kai struggled against their hold, wriggling on the ground. But to no avail, he failed. The shadow now a few feet away from him, and Kai screamed out for help, but no sound made its way out.
A sharp pain raked down his back, and this time his cries echoes throughout the creepy forest he is in. He can feel the cold blood trickling down his back, as the wound stung. Two dark hands came out of the shadow and flip him over onto his back. Kai hiss in pain, as his wounded back made contact with the hard ground.
"You must die." The shadow whispered, but then it became a series of chaios. And Kai felt like his eardrums are bleeding from all the ruckus.
"Let me go!" Kai screamed, as he still struggled from the right grip of the roots and hands. "Let me go, you have the wrong person!"
"You have it, so you must die!" Another hand came out of the shadow and slash Kai across his chest with it's deep claws. Causing Kai to jump up in a sweaty, clammy, breathless panic.
"It was a dream." Kai mumbled, looking around the infirmary room of the palace. As he breathe sharply. "It was all just a dream." He started to cry, looking out at the moonshine night.
