"Kai, can I ask you something?" Qing yuan's face got back to the serious statue expression that everyone knows him with.
"Yes." Kai silently said. His heart thudding even more, when he saw Qing yuan's signature look.
"If you are here pretending to be Li Jen, what did you do to the real Drogan princess?"
"N-nothing!" Kai quickly blurted. He can't let Qing yuan think that he hurt Li Jen. He would never hurt her, even though she betrayed him like this. But she was his best friend, and his senior sister. "I would never hurt Li Jen. She ask me if we could switch life, I was skeptical about it. But she begged me to do it, ensuring that I would be safe. She talked about wanting to be free, she wanted to find happiness with her true lov- if I had know that she was supposed to get married to you, I wouldn't have helped her. But she love Lee Cheng so much, and it pained my heart to see her sad. She told me that we would just switch for the day, but she never came back. Later on, my mother told me about the rumors going around that Lee Cheng ran away with a girl that looked so much like Li Jen. It had hurt me so much that she would betrayed my trust like that, that I decided to go home. But then I met you, and all that planning just went through the window."
Qing yuan tensed up when he heard what Kai said, the tip of his ears turning red. And he can also see that Kai's words had also affected him too.
'Is Kai lying to me? Should I believe him, or he's just trying to save himself?' Qing yuan thought.
"I am not lying to you." Kai utter, shocking Shui.
"I didn't say you were lying."
"Yes you did, I heard you."
Qing yuan scrunch his eyebrows together, before rubbing them in thought.
"Listen, I don't care what you think or said. But know that I would never lie to you. I can't even lie to save myself. My brain comes up with a lie, but my mouth blabs the truth. Do you know how hard I have to try to not get myself caught? I am a terrible lying, and I even got my mom to start lying to. Oh no, my parents. My dad is going to be so disappointed and angry with me, while my mother is going to be so devastated….."
Kai went on and on, blabing away. But Qing yuan bearly heard what him said, as he was lost in his thoughts. It was until Kai blurted something, that got his attention.
"What did you just say?" He ask Kai, his eyes wide in unbelievable shock.
"My dad is going to punish me so bad?"
"No, long after that."
"Oh, that on my sixteenth birthday something strange happened?"
"Yes, yes. What did you say after that?" Qing yuan egarly ask.
"I thought that I saw the Prospectors auras, but Li Jen told me that only prospectors can see auras. So I thought it was just sunlight, but other strange things had started to happen like me jumping ten feet in the air out of danger, hearing voicing and having weird dreams."
Qing yuan sat on the edge of the chair with his mouth open.
"Hey, Qing yuan are you ok?" Kai ask, closing his open mouth.
Qing yuan shook his head, and gain back his composure. Standing up, and look down at Kai. "I won't inform on you, but please don't tell anyone what you told me. I will be going back home for a few days, pretend like nothing happened. And watch your back, because I think someone else also knows that you are not Li Jen." And with those words said, he spin on his heel and walk out the door. Leaving a speechless, but equally worried Kai.
