Thane stared at her as if he was memorizing her face. He smiled again and then nodded.
"I made a promise to her the day she gave me the ring. We had a little time when you showed me the past, but yes, I vowed to look for her if she would not come back."
She frowned. "But the other day when I asked you to look for her, why didn't you tell me?"
Thane sighed. "Because you were right, I never tried to look for her. When I found out she was living with a demon, I was furious. But my wolf kept on reminding me about the promise I made. For a king, I had to keep it because I was bound with the vow I made with my mate."
"So are you telling me you wanted to die so you could go to the Underworld and save her, but you are not going to make her your Luna?" She asked curiosity piqued.
Thane chuckled. "The mate bond had been broken for a long time. She was the one who broke it and not me."
