Thane was left dumbfounded after Elisia kissed him and then ran outside, blushing.
'That again.' He thought to himself.
'You know it wasn't her. Don't be confused.' It was his wolf.
'This is the third time I felt it. Why can't you feel it?' He said to his wolf.
'She's a demon. Remember, demons were the reason your parents are dead. They cannot be trusted. Play with her all you want, but she is not that girl.'
It was strange that every time they were close to each other, he could see a glimpse of her past. The same thing happened four years ago.
The memory of the girl she met in Mirrikh when he was still a slave was clear as the blue sky until now. She was his mate, but he couldn't tell her because of his status. He was afraid she would reject him so he let her go.
'Our mate was a mortal. We both felt it the first time we met her, and she died because of you. Remember that.'
'Shut up! I already paid for what I did!'
He was uncomfortable talking about what happened to his mate four years ago. Because of his cowardness, she died. He always felt guilty and had nightmares about her.
She was the only creature who didn't treat him like a slave in Mirrikh. She was his only friend.
Elisia had little to no similarities with that girl. His mate was a mortal, but Elisia was a demon in Terran clothing. Her long wavy hair was red as the scarlet sun, while the other had brown shoulder-length hair.
Even their scent was different. Elisia's scent was enticingly and seductively sweet, while his mate's sweet scent was innocent and pure.
The only similarity was that they could both show him their past. He was not sure why a mere mortal had that kind of power, but they said that Terrans could also possess abilities because they already adapted some traits from different creatures who lived in Terra.
The first time he kissed her, he saw her memory with Adrian. It was when she went to talk to him the second time after returning him back to life.
"What do you want?" Adrian asked.
It looked like they were in a cafe but only a few customers were inside and the two were seated at the last table where no one could see them.
"Adrian, it's me, Elisia. Can't you remember me? We had been a couple for a year then you proposed, and we got married." Elisia answered.
Her face showed that she was hurting because of Adrian's rejection. While the man was looking at her with disgust.
"You are a demon." Adrian fretted.
Elisia was shocked. She didn't tell him about her true identity, how did he find out?
"If you are not, then why am I alive when you said I already died? Did you ask for help from someone? Or maybe you're a witch?" Adrian continued.
"H-How can I be a demon? You said you were allergic to them. You never had a reaction when you were near me." She stuttered.
"Then explain to me why am I alive when you said that I already died? You said we got married, but why can't I remember anything? Do I have amnesia?" Adrian continued to ask her.
Elisia shook her head. "No. It's complicated."
Adrian tapped the table, loud enough to be heard by other customers.
"Is there a problem, sir?" The waitress asked.
"Nothing. No problem here." Adrian said while staring at Elisia.
The waitress glanced at her and waited for her assurance that everything was fine.
She smiled. "Yes. Don't worry. We're okay."
The waitress smiled back and then left them. Adrian was still glaring at her and Elisia felt pain in her heart.
"Don't lie to me! Who are you?" Adrian yelled?
Elisia took a deep breath and then nodded.
"My name is Elisia, and yes. I asked for help from someone to turn back the time so you could live. On the night of our honeymoon, we had an accident and you died. I was unconscious for three months and when I woke up you were gone. I couldn't accept it, so I asked someone to help me. But I didn't expect you would not remember me. I'm not a demon. I'm just a woman in love with you, Adrian."
It was another lie. It was her chance to tell Adrian who she was, but she chose to deny her kind. Thane was disappointed with Elisia. He couldn't understand why she was so afraid of Adrian's response once he found out the truth about her. If Adrian was truly in love with her, he would accept Elisia even though she was a demon.
He sat down on the chair and rested his head. The party had just started and he lost his chance to get away with it. It was prepared by the council so he could properly announce Elisia as her future Luna and Queen of Versipellis.
He sighed, then stood up to walk out of his office. He went directly to their room and knocked. No one answered after a few minutes, so he opened the door and saw no one inside. He called a few times but no answer.
He walked quietly toward the bathroom and tried to listen if someone was on the other side. He frowned when he heard a noise so without knocking he immediately barged in.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Elisia screamed.
Thane was surprised to see Elisia naked. She was standing in front of him without any clothes on, even her underwear.
"Get out!" She continued to shout.
But instead of getting out, he rushed toward Elisia and then grabbed her by the waist.
"Let me go! You jerk!" She yelled before raising her head and slapping him on the face.
Thane didn't see that coming. It was the first someone slapped him so he got mad, and rather than letting her go, he carried her on his shoulder.
Elisia kept on shouting while Thane walked out of the bathroom. She was alarmed when he suddenly threw her on the bed.
"What are you planning to do with me?" She still managed to ask him even though her heart started pounding.
He didn't say a word, but he grabbed her hands putting them on top of her head.
"I told you, you are playing with fire. Did you think I could be satisfied with just a kiss?"
Elisia's eyes widened when she felt his knee between her thighs.
"T-Thane, I-I'm still a virgin!" She shouted.
