Chapter 24 - Interlude: Asmouranthe

Asmouranthe was looking down at a battle platform, two immortals were fighting below, the battle looking very intense. Both seem to be very young. One looked like an elf but had red skin and a thin arrow-tipped tail, he was wielding a flame sword and a shield which was also on flames.

His opponent was a brown-skinned woman with lightning sparkling between the horns on her head wielding her cloth-covered fists as her weapon. The woman was using her whole body as a weapon to force the sword-wielding man to step back continuously. This woman was a Rahu, a Deva path race that is known as the best in physical combat throughout the whole six paths, not even dragons and titans would best them in physical combat. The woman is a low-tier member of that race but is still able to best a man who was once a supreme mortal, showing the difference in bloodline inheritance as people progress in their paths.

Asmouranthe came here to watch the sword-wielding man, someone who had once been a peak mortal, someone whose projection had appeared on the same stage as Orion Cloude.

Indeed, Asmouranthe remains one of the few people who recognized Mortal Herculean as Orion Cloude. The Roc race had colonized the Umbron system and had applied a large-scale cleaning of records regarding Orion Cloude. She had survived that ordeal as she was off the system before that could happen.

The recording of the battle in the Void Heaven City of planet Thanen has been scrubbed from the infiplex. This action had made Asmouranthe realize that she could only keep that secret, a secret that Orion Cloude is the Mortal Herculean, either to her grave or till it becomes common knowledge.

After spending twenty mortal years away from her backwater home among the stars, she realized her inferiority in a universe full of giants. People are still searching for whoever the Mortal Herculean is, as he'd scared many people and done something no one expected.

He'd defeated a peak black immortal, who was a top-class talent as a mortal. That match had taken six months of punching, kicking, slashing and magic to conclude. While this might seem like a close battle, it was anything but. It had just taken six months for the damage Orion could inflict to break through the defences of the immortal and kill him for good. It was commented that based on Orion's methods, he might have a supreme bloodline, which alerted those races ranking high throughout the system to also try to track him. This new bloodline which just emerged might be very important to take some races to the next level if they could steal it. Orion never bled throughout the battle, this shows his invincibility in the battle, he disappeared soon after the battle though.

People claimed he had been killed off in a corner of the six paths.

Asmouranthe watched the battle keenly as she reaffirmed her determination to go through a complete reformation of her body, she promised herself not to be mediocre since she's got the chance to be more. She'd saved her credits to purchase a cultivation technique, the Six Seals Saint Soul cultivation technique, which could guarantee a six tribulation saint enabling her to become an elite.

A near infinite place like the six paths should be a paradise for all who exist within it, as infinite space means infinite resources. But when talking on the scale of infinity, a 1% miss is as good as a 100% miss.

As a Heaven-class mortal, she had reached the realm five times over the years as part of her cultivation technique which could develop a high-grade saint soul. She's planning on going further reaching a sixth seal or even the non-existent seventh seal.

She had been staying at a peak immortal branch of the Void Heaven Academy, learning basic probabilities, a course which would lead to her staying there for over five hundred years.

Gari had claimed that she had a talent for investigative work, which would take five thousand years on campus.

The elf-like being was punched into the air by the Rahu which had closed in on him, raining punches upon him like thunder until his body breaks apart leading to the win of the Rahu.

With a sigh, Asmouranthe looked at the elf-like being and wondered.

Where is Orion Cloude?
