"Still no news?" Mercian said as she looked at Budderon who was on the screen. She, Gari and Budderon was the only ones that shared the news of Orion being the Mortal Herculean. Unsure if anyone else had a clue about the connection, she could feel the burden of that knowledge weighing on her immensely. As a rank five yellow immortal (The next class after black immortal...), she knows how tiny she is in the grand scheme of things, which brought the idea to allow Budderon to spearhead the search for the mortal herculean.
Gari had returned to their former branch - her former branch, she was reassigned to their parent branch- her current branch. Deep in unknown territory, she had been enrolled on an agent training program. She did not finish the course required for a standard agent.
"No news ma'am." Budderon replied, "Apparently, it is impossible to track where his log-in signals came from."
"The common theory is that he has some sort of treasure that allows him to do those things he's capable of."
Listening to Budderon's explanation of Orion's ability, even Mercian had to agree that the theory is plausible but what kind of treasure would allow those ridiculous feats?
Why would Orion be so stupid to reveal these treasures?
Even if he is the son of Fanatic Titan, the Roc and Titan families might not be enough to protect him if the treasure is overpowered enough to interfere with the foundational laws of the Void Heaven Reality.
"No!" Mercian replied to herself, to Budderon and herself. This behaviour conflicts with the personality data they'd gathered about Orion. If it were a treasure that allowed his victory over the black immortal, then no amount of mortal energy could sustain it for six months.
"Ma'am?" Budderon sounded confused, while the spymaster might have experienced leading a group of his own these days, it was still not enough.
"No!" Mercian repeated her claim, that the pieces do not fit. To Mercian, the claim that Orion Cloude is not the mortal herculean seems truer than mortal herculean using a treasure to affect the basic laws of the Void Heaven Reality.
This reasoning is not from a place of prejudice as far as Mercian is concerned, The Void Heaven Reality had existed for billions of years (not mortal years) but no one had been able to affect the basic laws of the reality. Not even the creator, it was said that the only reason the Void Heaven Tower could control Reality was as a result of a contract between the two parties.
The reality spawned as a result of the universe-wide communications system the creator was trying to make. The void heaven reality was blessed by the six-paths consciousness giving the reality an intelligence of its own.
This intelligence reproduced itself and reality became home to intelligence of all kinds in charge of all kinds of functions within the void heaven system. The battle worlds are also managed by bits of intelligence of all kinds, Void Stream is also managed by various bits of intelligence. This led to a universe-wide connection of intelligence, as long as there is a tower, there is intelligence and information can be transferred in an instant.
This is the void heaven reality. The invention that shot the void heaven tower from a casual power to a universal scale power. The invention that made the creator from a regular genius to the smartest man ever in the six paths.
The power required to bend its foundational laws is immense. No mortal should be able to shoulder it, it could only be an inborn talent or ability to be manageable for a mortal.
That fight style or technique must have made its way to Orion somehow, maybe it's a signature ability of an organisation. Maybe Orion is part of a rival organisation or it might be in-fighting within the same organization.
Those were the conclusions Mercian came to after dazing out for a few seconds.
"How are the Roc family moving?" She asked once she snapped back, "How is Ja moving?"
"Hmm..." Budderon checked his card for a few moments before his face turned strange, "They are not moving at all, Ja and his team had been colonizing the system the whole time, not going out to search for his cousin."
"The memory of the citizens of the system have been doctored regarding Orion Cloude, the tower registered a citizen mentioning Ja Skye's battle at Void Heaven City."
Mercian went quiet when she heard the news, "Keep an eye on him, Their family would be the first to find him."
"... my gut tells me."
...
...
Ja Skye was looking down from the Void Heaven Tower, his job for the past fifty mortal years had been completed. This solar system now belongs to the Roc family.
It was time to go.
While it was enjoyable, his many disciples would miss him as he would them. This journey has got to end.
Outside the tower were people from the whole system, gathered to see their saviour for the last time. He brought them the much-needed advancements they needed for them to be able to travel in space, while they wouldn't do extremely well now, at least the VHT would start directing some of their cargo here and the lives of Umbron System's denizens would surely improve as time goes by.
With a call, Ja Skye transformed into a Roc, as an earthly immortal he was able to fly in space as he could on land. Out of the planet's atmosphere and the system boundaries as he flew to somewhere unknown to the inhabitants of the Umbron system.
He was still young, freedom is his desire.
Rocs are birds of liberty, they can't be caged down to one destination.
His story is also just beginning.
