Queen patricia poisoned the king's food so that he could die immediately. She wanted the throne for her son, in other to gain power too. She knew that the King wouldn't die early because he was a Vampire and he could live for more that Five Hundred Years.
This act was truly foolish and childish. Lincoln has started gaining allies. His plan was to attack Kai first, once the king dies. Matthais was dumbfounded about the situation. He didn't expect this and he too moved into action. He also wants that throne. Kai immediately took action by saving his guards and his wife because the king would die sooner. Vampires recovers quicker if they were injured but he was poisoned. Who knew the king of poison Patty used for the king?
The rustling of leaves was heard and the sound of the breeze blowing the trees back and forth became louder. Walking deep down into the forest with his fist clenched tight. The anger on his face wouldn't disappear unless he shed blood in his hands.
"Arrrggggg" He roared loud.
"Son, you will be the next king. I trust you would be a good ruler. it wouldn't be easy but I'm sure you will make it."King williams told Kai when he was 7 years old.
He loved Kai at a very young age but his attitude toward him changed when he married his mistresses, who had already given birth for him before his own mother. The King treated his mom like a slave and at times beat her up badly to impress Queen patty and Zodah.
King williams and Kai never got close anymore but he didn't regret blessing Kai to be the Next King. Even if they didn't spend much time together, Kai still loved his dad so much and he wished that they could go back to their past relationship. He behaved rude to his father, so that his Dad wouldn't see how weak he was whenever he was beside him.
Just because of his father's death is near, he shouted on Doris which made her cry. He never wanted to be the reason of her tears. Even tho they didn't have feelings for each other, he never wanted her to cry because of his foolishness.
"Now I guess I'm really a monster" Kai roared angrily, hitting his chest hard.
She just looked like his mother, She had the same skin color like his mother, she had the same color of hair like his mother. The first time their eyes met in the ball, he almost mistook her as his mother but he knew she wasn't the one because of the eye balls. His mother had hazel's color of eyes but Doris had purple. The warmness he felt around his mother was the same way he felt around Doris. He thought his Mom was the most beautiful creature on earth but Doris seems to be competing with her.
Kai went deeper into the forest to satisfy his anger. His demon has fully taken control over him. He killed many wild animals. His hands were filled with blood. He tried forcing tears out of his eyes but he couldn't. His red eyes were burning with frustration and anger. The clouds were no where to be seen. The tall trees covered the lands. He wouldn't have been hurt this way if his Dad would die a normal death. How will my mum feel when she finds out about his father illness? His weakest point is to see his Mom cry. He was sure that his Mom will go on rampage.

Doris woke up with a severe headache. She noticed that Kai wasn't by her side. It's already daybreak and it was time for the Vampires to take rest. She got down from the carriage, Gideon and Lucas were guarding it.
"Good Morning Your Highness" They both greeted
"Good Morning." I replied warmly.
"Aren't you both suppose to be resting now?" I asked.
"We are okay ma'am. Without sleeping for days can't affect us" Gideon said.
"We should always stay with you" Lucas added.
"If you want to stay with me then you need to take absolute rest. Pls, go and take a rest" I suggested.
"Thank you Your Highness" They bowed and left.
I knew pretty well that they haven't slept after my wedding with Kai. I wanted them to take a rest but they refused because of Kai. They knew Kai wouldn't take it lightly with them if they didn't protect me. I went back into the carriage.
"Your Highness, you need to leave here." Leon said as he approached Kai. He saw blood everywhere and dead animals all around him.
Kai stared at him and then he stared around himself.
"I can't go to Doris looking like this" He told Leon. Leon nodded I'm agreement because his hands were filled with blood and his clothes were dirty.
"I will go to a neighboring Village to get you something to wear." Leon said and leap away.
After a while he was back and he gave Kai the clothes he brought for him. Kai went to a stream im the forest to clean himself up and he wore the clothes.
"Thanks" Kai said in a cold voice and he teleported to the carriage. Leon leapt away.
Kai was in the carriage and he saw Doris playing with her fingers.
"I guess you are bored" Kai startled her. Doris didn't give any attention to him. Kai wrapped his arms around Doris shoulders.
"I'm sorry" He said apologetically. Doris sensed sincerity in his voice but she didn't want to give in.
"My father is close to death and I couldn't help but feel sad about it. Patricia poisoned him and he is in a critical state now. I didn't mean to let out my anger on you...I..I tried controlling it but I couldn't help it" Kai explained. Doris palm were on her mouth. How could patricia do something like that? Now really she wants that throne for her son. Doris felt bad and she hugged him tight. She didn't mean to bother him with those pathetic questions.
"I'm sorry" Doris said lowly
"It's not your fault" Kai hugged her back. It was surprising as well but he knew anybody would have done that. They withdrawed from the hug.
"Where we going now?" Doris asked.
"We will be going to meet my Mom in Toraq" He asked and he breathed out.
"Okay"
" Are you hungry?"
"No"
"We will soon start out journey. I don't want you to get exhausted"
"You can teleport right? Can you go to your Mom's place right now" Doris asked anxiously
"Yeah but I would be very weak. It's a far distance" He said sealing his lips into a tiny line.
"Oh okay" I said.
