Kai glared at him Mom. Why on earth will his Mom let his wife join him in the war.
"It's not possible" Kai cold voice made Queen Melissa startled a bit. She wasn't used to Kai being provoked or angry.
"Why?" She asked her son giving him a questioning gaze.
"No reason but my decision is final and don't you dare try to talk to me about this matter. My answer is final because if your force me to take her, I won't do anything regarding this war" He threatened with a cold voice as he left them.
Queen Melissa was still for a while but she ran after her son. Kai went back into his room and his Mom entered with him.
"What's with you Kai? What have grown to become?" Queen Melissa said with annoyance and anger.
"She can be a great help to you. Why are so overprotective of her when you don't even love" She yelled out.
Kai was stilled. He digested everything his mother said. She can of help? I'm I being to overprotective? I don't love her?
" What do you mean by I don't love her? If I being overprotective of her, what's the chance that I don't love her" Kai ached his eyebrow.
"You are being overprotective of her because she's your priority and you don't love her. Didn't you get married to her because she looks like me?" She asked and Kai frozed. How on earth did this woman know? She's really a witch.
"How did you know?" He asked calmly.
"I was at the ball....No, I wasn't at the ball, I watched you through the crystal ball. I was also stunned when I saw her" She gradually explained.
"What ever it is, that doesn't mean that I don't love her" He tried to remain firm.
"That girl you see isn't a mere human you can use and dump. The girl is longing to be finally yours but your attitude and actions towards her is pushing her away from you. If this girl should finally find her ground, you can even stand her if she decides to leave and go back to her mom" Her gaze was furious on her son.
"What will she do? She can't leave me" He remained nonchalant.
"She is already willing to love but she is scared. She really wants to be yours but she is being protective. After the kiss of last night, she....." Kai interrupted her
"Here you go again! What the hell! Don't tell me you saw the both us, are you really going to keep spying on us and is that why you called me?" He pouted his lip
"Sorry for invading your privacy buy I'm on a task. It just ended, so I won't spy on you both again.
" Better" He sat on his bed.
"When the war begins, You and Doris should go the W kingdom as you said. I want her to be safe. I will stay behind" He said and then Queen Melissa nodded after a while.
"Will this war end soon enough?" He asked.
"No"
"Will I be able to win?" He asked his mom
"Yes. I'm very sure. It might be though" She said.
"How sure can you be?" Kai asked him mother.
"I will explain everything for you right from the beginning and how sure I am that you will be the next king of the vampire kingdom."
* Two hundred years back*
*W Kingdom*
Back then in the witches kingdom, the kingdom is usually quite. The people of the kingdom goes out during the day to provide for their daily wants and needs. The people are instructed to go into their homes before dusk because of the Vampires roaming about in the night. The people obeyed and they did as they were told, Children goes to school to learn how to use spells and other things.
In the palace, the maids did theirs daily activities and Elisa and Jude kept roaming around the castle playing pranks on the workers.
"Momma wants to take to you Melissa" Elisa barged into Melissa's room.
"Is that why you can't knock before entering?" Melissa glared at her
"Why? Do you want to scold me? Just keep shut and come to the Queen's room. She wants to have a word with you" Elisa eyed as she left, slamming the door behind.
"Rude thing!" Melissa frowned as she left her room to meet her mom.
Melissa made her way to meet her mom and she met some maids cleaning the palace
"Good morning Princess Melissa" The maid greeted with a smile
"Good Morning" She waved them with a warm smile. She reached her mother's room and then she knocked.
"Come in Melissa" She heard her mother's voice from the other end."
Melissa opened the door and she entered inside the room. She met her mom laying in her bed and then she approached her mom and sat beside her.
"Good morning Mom" She greeted
"Good morning" She smiled
*How was your night?"
"It was fine Mom and Urs?"
" It was fine too" Her mother answered.
"I saw something in the crystal ball about you and Elisa and I'm not happy about it. I don't want to tell Elisa caused she can use this against you and destroy you" The mother said
"Why should she destroy me? I'm her twin sister" She said utterly confused.
"You know to well that Elisa doesn't like you being her twin sis because you bother are different when it comes to power. Elisa posseses a Gray witch power and you know to well what a Gray witch can do." The mother said in a warning tone.
"Wait, is it because she has both a white magic power and black magic power? How come she has it and I don't have. we are twins for carrying out loud" Melissa became angry.
"I am married to a Gray witch while I'm a Green witch. The Green witch is the greatest witch but since I married your father, he wants to take everything away from me, so that the Gray witch can rule over the entire kingdom of the witches. I can't do anything with it because he has drew all my abilities away from me. That's why I called you here. it's only you that can help us" She said
"Why don't I possess the white magic and the dark magic?" She asked
"I don't know bout that. But I can sense your power that you have more than that of a Gray witch. Your father haven't sensed that, that's why you are still alive. I want you to leave this kingdom and hid somewhere. In the prophecy, you are the rightful heir to this throne. I don't know your father manipulated things but since you have a silver strip on your hair, only you can seat on this throne. Now go and don't listen to Elisa. Ignore her!" The queen said.
"I can't leave Mom. Where do you want me to go?" Melissa asked furiously.
"Any where but where your father can't get you. he will soon be back from his journey" Melissa answered
"What about the Vampires? "
"Take this necklace, it will protect you only when it sense danger" She removed the necklace from her neck and gave it to her daughter. Melissa grabbed the necklace and wore it.
"Go my dear" The mother feigned a smile.
"I will be back. I love you Mom" Melissa said
"I love you too dear" The mother said and Melissa turned back and left the room. She didn't bother packing her clothes, she left empty handed so that Elisa wouldn't pester around her.
On her way out of the gate, Elisa appeared before her.
"And where do you think you are going?" Elisa smirked
"Mother sent me an errand to the Market Square" She said obediently.
"Really? You've turn into an errand girl. Mother knows she can't send me and that's why she sent you because you look more like an errand girl" She proudly said.
"Watch it Elisa." Melissa warned and left. Elisa watched her as she left and then she hurriedly went back into palace.
Elisa went into her mother's room without knocking.
"You startled me Elisa. Can't you knock before entering my room" The queen frowned
"Who cares about knocking? And this is my father's room Mind You!" Elisa rolled her eyes.
"Where is Melissa going?" She asked her Mom.
"I sent her an errand" Queen Melissa lied. She had watch the both of them in the crystal ball because her mind had already told her that Elisa would sense something fishy.
"She said the same thing so I came to confirm. I hope you didn't watch us with the crystal" She raised an eyebrow
"I didn't" She lied again.
"I will go after to confirm" Elisa attempted to leave but her mother suddenly appeared in front of her.
"What? Don't you want me to go?" The ached her eyebrow
"Your father requested me to punish her for what she did the last time. He said I should send her to the market square without guards. He is coming back tonight, why don't you prepare a gift for your Dad." She feigned a smile.
"Really! Dad is coming tonight? I'm going to prepare my gift for him" She hopped in excitement leaving her mother's room.
"That was close" The queen heaved a sign.

12 hrs past bye and Elisa dad hasn't come back yet.
"Mom, are you sure he is coming?" Elisa asked her mother
"You fool, does your father not always inform you first before he come home? I told you your father is coming and you began to hop like a frog" The queen hissed
"So you lied! How dare you?!" She yelled on the queen.
"Quite Young Lady! Don't let my anger descend on you. I'm only leaving you since all this days because you are my daughter. Just be careful young girl" Elisa stood still and she even forgot to breath. She has never seen her mother angry towards her. She trembled and she sat on the floor has tears filled her eyes. If her father was here this wouldn't have happened.
"Daddy!!!" She wailed.
The queen hissed and smirked as she saw her daughter crying. She teleported back into her. She took her crystal ball in her wardrobe to check on her Melissa. The crystal ball showed her dark surrounding and she couldn't see her daughter. Fear gripped her heart.
