The scene start with a dark stormy night , at the waiting room of a railway station where a lady came to wait for the next train. The train was due to arrive after twenty minutes . A potter follows her. He lit the gas flame for her . It was raining and wild winds were blowing.

Soon after the arrival a middle aged man, with a big suitcase also came there , He too wanted to catch the same train when the potter had left , they started talking on different topics and came to know each other.

The gentleman told her that he was going to stainthrope to seek revenge on a lady, called mrs oakentubb. This woman had killed his wife and his daughter in a car accident a few months ago . She was drunk while she was driving a car . Moreover, she was Driving fast for a bet . Although, she was prisoned for it for eighteen months but the gentleman though she would have been hanged . So he intended to kill her .

The lady was frightened to know this fact , as she herself was Mrs oakentubb anyway she showed no sign of fear rather she face a situation boldly and continue to talked. Suddenly she remember that there was her name card label tied to her suitcase . Therefore she tried to hide it by throwing some paper on it . On the other hand the gentleman had become some suspicious about the lady from the very beginning. He wanted to know her real name. He went toward her suitcase silently and very soon his doubt were confirmed now he decided to kill her and took out a loaded revolver .

She was standing thus suddenly the door opened and the gentleman came in raising his revolver, he fired at her . She fell down dead and the gentleman went out. This was how they spent their twenty minutes.
