As we entered the girls were happily chatting about the wedding and other stuff.
"LILLIEEE" screamed Alex hugging the little sis.
"Congratulations you NUTMEG," she said fist bumping him.
"Sarah, will you order us some drinks and snacks? We need to have a private talk with the Captain," I said stroking her cheek.
"EWWW!!!!!!!!" said Lili faking a disgusting look.
"Ok, you guys go now, don't disturb our girl time," she said pushing me away.
"Hmm.. you two still have the lust," said the captain.
"Oh please. these two are still like new love birds," said Alex while we settled down in my office. Yes, Sarah was at the open area with Lili.
"How is she, Ben?"
"I don't think we can hide her identity anymore. Uncle Holland also said the same to me,"
"Hmm... so why did you two want to find me?" he asked with an expression.
I contacted Paul, and as he was not busy he joined us through zoom. So we briefed the captain and Paul about our findings.
"Alexander Maverick," said Paul and Captain together.
"As per Liam, he is the one Senior Alexander had fiercely trained. He was never seen in public or not even a single photo," said Alex.
"You said he runs the Hill's?" said the captain.
"Yes, quite notorious as well it seems," Alex input.
The captain called his office and asked them to send some details about the Hill's recent activities. According to him, there had been an enclosed area where no one dares to go, an area called the dead end. This was the area they believe this gang operates and trains new recruits. The captain also got some photos emailed.
"BEN" Alex screamed as he showed me an image.
''Who is it?" I said already scooping over his head to see it.
"Oh my, it's him," I said.
"WHO?" asked Captain.
"Who else, Venom, Liam's right-hand man," said Alex almost standing up.
"This guy?"
"Yes," I said.
"So this proves it's their hidden spot for a long time," said the captain.
"Do You mean they do illegal things apart from the stuff we know?" asked Alex a bit worried.
"Hmm... they resell drugs, especially the newly formulated ones," said the captain with concern.
"What?" said Uncle Holland. As we looked at him in surprise.
"You knew about this?" asked Captain.
"Well, I did get some titbits but I was not hundred percent sure to make it to report it,"
"From where did you get this news?"
"From a crew who went to the border to cover a story. He said he saw something but didn't go ahead to search more as it was dangerous at that time,"
"You mean how long?"
"About a year ago," Uncle Holland said giving a call to his office asking them to send some photos from an archive dated back a year ago.
Sarah bought our snacks and drinks while we wait and had a little mini talk till Captain signaled Lili to go out with her.
"Can you check out these photos," asked Uncle Holland.
We waited till Captain went through the photos.
"I think this tattoo looks similar," he pointed out the tattoo in that man's hand.
"Ben, isn't this the tattoo we saw on Venom?" said Alex.
"Hmm," I bent in and looked to see if this was true.
"Uncle do you have the details of the person who went on this mission?" I asked.
"Why?"
"Just ask him to come here," I said to him.
"So you verify these are the same tattoos and they are sure to be from the same mafia gang?" asked the captain.
I just nodded my head agreeing with him.
Meanwhile........
Alexander Maverick was thinking of ways to get close to Ms. Smith. But the problem is he might not get a chance as he is not a popular person, and she will immediately grab attention.
"Leader,"
"Yes,"
"I thought of something, a plan to lure Ms.Smith,"
"Elaborate," said Maverick.
"Why don't we invite her to a candlelight dinner, you as a secret admirer,"
Maverick, looked at him and nodded in agreeing to proceed with the plan. whether she'll agree or not will depend on her. If she does it will be good, if not it will be hard to get another chance. He will have to hide his identity until he can capture her to trust him, in a way he can make Liam jealous.
But the only thing that Maverick didn't know was the fact that Liam hates Ms.Jane. He was waiting for a proper encounter to gather evidence and call off the engagement.
Back at Ben's office,
"Sir you asked me to be here?" said the reporter to uncle Holland looking worried after seeing the Captain.
"HI, chill out Barry. no one is going to do anything to you,"
"Thank you, sir,"
"Hmm, Barry do you remember these photos?" I asked him.
He took a while to go through them and looked at us.
"Hmm.... yes I do,"
"Can you tell us what you remember?" asked the Captain.
"Well, the place was about a few feet away from me. Heavily guarded and there were people with black faces covered. They looked like bodybuilders with tattoos on their arms,"
He took some time to remember.
"At that time they were exchanging some big boxes. Looked so heavy and they were cautious not to get a lot of attention from the passbyers,"
"Is this the same tattoo you saw?" asked the captain.
He took some time and looked at us.
"I think it is but I am not hundred percent sure," he said, "But this is so much similar,"
"hmm, I think know where to start the investigation,"
