With the information my father gave, I had to think a lot. But to be more precise I know I will have to look into the past about the grandparents of me and Liam.
"HI Ben,"
I looked up at Alex.
"Is everything alright?"
"Hmm... no just thinking about something my father said,"
"Want to talk about it?"
"Where are the girls?" I asked as I didn't want them to hear this and worry.
"They went to your place with my mom. Guess they have a sewing club or something,," said Ales showing off a handkerchief made by Meg. Well, she was still learning.
"It seems my grandfather and Liam's grandfather have been best friends,"
"WHAT!!!! can you repeat please, I am not sure I heard it properly,"
"It's true. And they both have started a company together but some things have happened,"
"Must be same as the worthless grandson,"
"So my grandfather had left with his shares and started a new one. For which your grandfather joined later,"
"ok,,,"
"So our company has started to flourish than there, so Liam's grandfather had some jealous issues," I said looking at him.
"So this could be a revenge act?"
"Yes, a generation after generation, it seems,"
"Well, what do you think we should do?" asked Alex after thinking for a while.
"Well arrange a meeting with our fathers as well as Paul and his team. So we can discuss things through,"
"I also think it's best to find out about Liam's grandfather and these business deals,"
"Yes,"
"Do you think Liam knows?"
"He might know or he might not,"
"We'll first find where Liam is or send him a message to meet with him. So we can talk with him about this,"
"Do you think this will help?" I asked.
"Hmm..... just trying to see the bright side of things.."
For a few days, we tried to find a way to get in touch with Liam. But we were with no luck, till Paul gave us a tip-off. So we sent a message through Paul about wanting to meet but this went unanswered.
As planned we all met with our fathers to discuss this, even Sarah's father joined as he had worked with them before.
"OH boy, you guys are early," said Alex coming into the room.
"We are not lazy like you new kids," said my father.
"Hi, Ben are we lazy?"
"Well according to my father we are," I said.
"You...."
"Ok you guys let's get back to what we came for," said Alex's dad.
"hmm... so about Alexander's father, do you guys know anything about him?" I asked.
"Well according to your grandfather, at the start of their business he seems to be a good person. But you don't know if he had some motive," said my father.
"Have you met him in person?" asked Alex.
"Well, I don't think I have talked to him, as I was just about ten at that time. But he looked scary, so I never wanted to meet him,"
"No wonder Mr.Alexander looks scary as well," said Alex making a scared look.
"If I remember right Mr.Alexander was always under the influence of his father," said Sarah's father.
What do you mean uncle?" asked Alex.
"Every decision he makes has to go through his father. Unless he says ok, he is not supposed to do it,"
"Yikes, is he that tough?" I asked as I couldn't believe it.
"Do you think he had planned a generation revenge plot?" asked Alex's father.
"He is known to be a cunning man, maybe he did," said my father thinking about something.
"Uncle do you think, there was a chance that Liam and Dave had met?" asked Alex.
"Hmm... I am not so sure," he said.
"Father I told you about Liam and Smith's daughter's engagement," I said.
"Yes, it's actually a business deal also enforced by the old man a few years ago,"
"Oh my... who would want to be with that wild girl," said Alex's father. "I am glad you were safe, son,"
He said to me with a pat on my shoulder.
"A business deal, a revenge, an accident, and a plastic surgery," said Alex.
"Could the accident on Sarah be done as revenge for Ben refusing Smith girl?" asked Sarah's father.
"UNCLE?" Alex asked surprised.
"Just, you know they show such stuff in movies," he said laughing.
"I guess you should just watch animated movies they are more mind friendly,"
"Thank you, Alex," said Sarah's father laughing out.
"Alex, I think uncle does have a point," said Alex's dad.
"DAD!!!"
"Yes, maybe Smith's daughter asked Liam to harm Sarah. So it affects Ben,"
"Hmm...But how?" asked Alex.
"If their engagement is a business deal, Smith's can threat them to call off the deal if Liam doesn't do what they want,"
"OH MY!!!!!"
