Chapter 12 - BRIGHT

"Mama stands up, mama, stand up!" Five in the morning, the little girl woke up Luna.

"Come on... pray first, mama, pray..." The two-year-old continued, tugging at Luna's hand. Still sleepy, Luna finally woke up and accompanied Bright awake.

Not long after the morning turned to life with the child and mom echoing song, and throughout the morning chatted incessantly. These are the happiest moment for Luna. In touch with her baby. Cover Bright's whole body with baby oil, even sometimes having to play catch up first, then sprinkled with baby powder and get dressed.

"Which clothes do you want to wear, dear?"

"The white one."

"Where... why isn't here? Please help mama find the white dress."

"Some are white, and some are red ..." Bright replied by singing the song 'Lihat Kebunku (See my garden) while examining the contents of her cupboard. Then Luna covered her hair with hair lotion, the fragrance spread everywhere. Combed and given colorful clasps.

It's done.

She looked at the terrace, the offerings were ready. Cigarette, complete with match and ashtray, a cup of coffee, and morning newspaper.

That is Bintang's breakfast menu every morning.

"Bright, wake up dad, mama wants to take a shower first," Luna whispered to the little girl as she entered the bathroom.

From inside the bathroom, Luna heard her little daughter wake up her Dad,

"Maas, wake up maaaas... it's late.."

Luna smiled to herself in the closet.

"Mom, where are you from?" Greet Bright approaching Luna as she enters the room.

"Work."

"Ooo work"

"Where's dad?"

"Still in the office."

"Ooo, in the office."

"Have you eaten yet, baby?" Luna asked then.

"Yes boss!"

"What do you eat?"

"Pepe!"

"How come it's just tempeh... Isn't it delicious?"

"Ooo delicious .." Bright said hesitantly with her comment.

"Hmm… delicious." corrected Luna.

"Hmmm.. delicious." Imitating Bright. She constantly looked at her mom, who kept going back and forth to the room and kitchen, changing clothes, putting her shoes on, and charging her cell phone.

"Mama.. mama, sit down mama..." Bright protested.

And Luna immediately realized and stopped her busyness.

Then sit down as ordered. She put her daughter on his lap and caressed her hair. It was exactly like her hair. Straight, limp, thin, and slightly reddish… as highlighted. Her eyebrows also looked like they had been tattooed, arching perfectly over his round, piercing eyes. She had a deep dimple on his cheek. Luna called this a bonus. Because none of her and the Bintang family have dimples, her beautiful smile can heal all the annoyance in her heart. Duh, what a beautiful creature…

"Eh, did you pee on the bed, didn't you?"

"Of course, mama," Bright exclaimed flirtatiously.

"Huu.. how come you proud pee on the bed?"

"How come you've grown up, you're still pee..." The little girl continued in a hurry as she got down from her mother's lap. She seems to have memorized very well what her mother commented with his bedwetting answer. And that made Luna smile.

Bright Bright… Luna hissed while sitting on the sofa. The girl grew up very quickly.

She likes to kiss her soft buttocks when she sleeps, feeling her very soft skin like silk with the fresh scent of baby oil, which hm... feels satisfying when she inhales the aroma deeply. Her chest seemed to be flowing with coolness, becoming medicine for aches and fatigue.

"Mama! Mama! There's a cockroach! Huh.. that's… Hhhi scared!" Bright's shout broke Luna's thoughts.

"Just let it be. It won't bite, dear." Luna replied without getting up from the sofa.

"Mbak, there's a cockroach, mbak...! Bright shouted back, looking for her Nany. Mbak, who was busy in the washing machine, joined Bright. Without thinking, she took the broom that was parked next to the shoe rack and with her small footsteps plus a large broom made the little girl run forward a little breathlessly.

"Mama.. mama, come down mamaaaa...!" The little hand-pulled Luna's hand.

"Oh my gosh, Bright!!! What a noisy.." Luna screamed while moving from her seat.

"There's a cockroach mam..." Bright pointing the cockroach sticking out under the chair." Hi… the cockroach is dead! Mama the cockroach is dead! Bitten by ants. Ouch… lots of ants in my house… because of you… lazy to clean…." Bright continued while singing 'Banyak Semut Dirumahku' (A lot of ants in my house). As a result, the floor becomes even messier.

"Here. Come in, let me do the sweeping." Mbak immediately came and took the broom from Bright's hand.

There was a gleam of happiness and gratitude in Luna's eyes. God answered her prayer.

Luna learned a lot from Bright. Bright was an excellent teacher. Bright is a very real example. The joy of the child is perfect joy. She is 100% present in the moment. Enjoy every moment it passes. She wasn't worried about what would happen next. She also never thought about the past.

She did not rate the incident as positive or negative. She just enjoyed it. Enjoy every moment of it. Bright didn't think about whether she was pretty enough, graceful enough, and good enough at her timing and laughing out loud and screaming.

She didn't think about her image, whether people would think she was smart or maybe stupid when she just does what she likes, she is Focus Out, never busy with herself.

Times flies. Still fresh in the mind when the baby Bright learns to sit up, walk, preschool, kindergarten, and now suddenly already in elementary school.

Luna spent the day more at the office than watching her little daughter grow.

Bright has been absent from school for two days. Last Monday the reason was still tired. Today is lazy because there are sports lessons. Yesterday Luna was forced to allow her to study at home because Luna was in a hurry to have an important meeting at the office.

Today Luna was forced to stop her work because there are other important matters concerning Bright's school activities. After being late for more than a week and then skipping classes for the past two days, is something bothering Bright's heart?

"I don't like exercise, mommy, scorching heat!"

A couple of days ago, she admitted she was lazy because there was a Math lesson, "Dizzy!" she said.

"Mama too. It was dizzy when math lessons, but mama was good at English. What are you good at?

"Eats!"

Luna smiles

"Okay, today, Mama will take Bright to school," Luna persuaded

"Mama not going to work?" asked Bright quickly with a beaming expression on his face.

"Mommy wants to accompany Bright to school because Mom doesn't want Bright to be lazy; if you're lazy, you won't get a grade in the class!"

"So why if we don't get a grade, mom?"

"Shame on you!"

"No! I'm not ashamed!" she answered firmly. "Mama please accompanied me to study at home; I still miss mama."

Bright does not give up easily, she is an excellent negotiator, and as a mother who is still learning, Luna always tries to respect her opinion. Every day Luna has to learn because a new day is a new experience, a new lesson.

After discussions, an agreement between the two parties was finally approved, today Bright goes to school after Sports lessons with a note, Luna was at home when she came home. Deal. Take a day off. Leave for an urgent matter.

Luna doesn't want to spoil the beauty of the present; Luna wants Bright to go to school with a happy and cheerful heart.

Only when children's self-esteem is respected their intellectual potential and independence can be developed, say the experts.
